Kael As early as the sound of the morning bell, I gathered my inner circle in the war room, six wolves I'd trusted for years. Three of them I actually trusted. The other three were on my list of suspects. "New intelligence suggests Druk is planning a major offensive," I began, spreading false maps across the table. "Our scouts report troop movements concentrating here." I pointed to the western valley. "They'll hit us from this direction within three days." All lies. Carefully constructed, believable lies.
