Chapter 9

Life was all so very differnt now Marcus was now Alpha of the pack I was the Luna we lost a few pack members and I was half way threw my pregnancy now and also my best friend Fona is also pregnant she found out the week after me she was all excited that both of us were having our first pregnancy together and could talk to each other about it all as Marcus appointed Gerrard Beta after he was healed and ready to get back to pack duties they were out a lot putting safety measures in place around our camp area in case my father decided to attack our pack and members our pack would take turns guarding threw the night and day to warm us if anyone came near Marcus was always worried and so was I but I couldn’t wast time thinking about my father and his plans Marcus was doing enough of that for us all I had to concentrate on my baby health and my own and today we find out if we are having a boy or a girl the men want boys but me and Fona don’t really care what we have as long as it’s a healthy baby we are sitting in the main room chatting together waiting for Sam to come by check us over and let us know “I think we should go and see if we can get any that stuff like balloons and stuff decorate for our men coming back how cool would that be” Fona says practically jumping around the sofa I smile at how happy she is “you mean we would have to go a drive into the town and I don’t think that’s safe right now with everything that went on” I raise my eyebrows her smile fades “oh yeah well maybe I let my mind wonder a bit we can just tell them then better safe than sorry eh” I felt bad for her but I am not taking any risks yet while I’m pregnant a know lol came at the door and Sam entered the room a young boy came in behind him with a big bag that looked really heavy for the boy he was struggling with it poor thing “morning ladies hope we are well today let me set up and Luna I will start with you so please lie down on the sofa here” he was fiddling around with a monitor and the boy was helping I lie down and he lifts up my top to show of my big belly and he squirts some cold gel on my belly and starts to press and rub while looking at the screen I was always scared of this part for some reason but a heartbeat came loud and strong “ok Luna looks like your having a healthy baby boy yes definitely a boy congrats” he was so happy to reveal to me it was a boy and the tears came rolling down my face happy tears for once he cleans away the gel stuff and I get up and let Fona take her turn she was shaking now I take hold of her hand smiling and Sam did the same to her the gel then press nothing came threw he rolled it around a few more times Fona let out a faint gasp n started to cry I was about to start crying myself when the heartbeat came threw “aw little trickster this one but not to worry dear sometimes it takes a few seconds to get it and we did now you are having” he pauses Fona was gripping my hand tight waiting for his answer “a baby girl” Fona squeals loud she was so happy she had already made a pink pair of booties as she wanted a girl so bad Sam cleans her up and she pounces up jumping up and down we were both over the moon we thanked Sam and the boy as they left and sat waiting for Marcus and Gerrard to return home. Few hours later they came in we didn’t get to say anything when they both chorused “what we having” I was going to make a joke saying chicken as it sounded like a dinner question as they always ask that when there back from there days duties Fona ran over to Gerrard tears down her face “were having a girl a healthy baby girl honey” he scoops her up kisses her and I could see his eyes start to water up he was happy then I look at Marcus looked scared he came over to me slow I couldn’t help but smile why do men do that it is kind of funny to be honest there like kids sometimes “boy” I whisper and next thing I know he’s spinning me around shouting “yes yes yes oh boy yes ” I tap at his shoulder with one hand and cover my mouth with the other he forms an o shape with his mouth and lets me down slow “sorry babe I wasn’t thinking” I shake my head but run to the bathroom to be sick great thanks big guy I grown to myself I rub at my belly no ones fault but I hate this part of pregnancy wish I could do without sickness “ok now calm down boy don’t give me any more of this sickness stuff you hear me” I wash my hands and face brush my teeth and go back into the room we’re I herd Gerrard and Fona laugh about my boy and there girl one day becoming mates and ruling our pack it was all joke and fun but I just wanted to go lie down i wasn’t in the mood for any of it now I was getting a headache and I think it showed Marcus was at my side “babe what’s wrong are you ok” I shake pointing to my head “I need to go lie down be in darkness close my eyes it will pass” he didn’t look to sure but nodded I said goodnight to Gerrard and Fona and went to bed and lay down closed my eyes and next thing I know I was unable to move my body “oh Carmel” and then a strange nasty laugh I tried to reply but couldn’t even talk “oh hun you can’t shout for your man you can’t go running to him I have you in a spell and soon you will be back we’re you belong” I was scared I knew that voice it was Patsy the witch from my old pack my fathers crazy witch friend who did his bidding no why is this happening to me I wish this would stop.
