I felt like forever for Marcus arrived I was beginning to doubt what my mother had said but 4 hours of waiting and the time arrived I herd a car pull up and I bolted up and to the window I seen him exit the car and I didn’t wait I ran straight out to him and jumped into his arms and started balling like a baby he was here we were together again he was stroking my hair “babe it’s really you” he gasps I nod against his shoulder and sniff him taking in his scent it was so good I couldn’t even speak I had no clue how long I sat there in his arms until I herd someone couch I look over and there was Athena holding Bailey I jump up again and take them both into a big hug and cried some more while kissing my baby I felt whole again stronger and happier now “um if you would all please come inside” Terry asked as he looked around I was glued to Marcus Athena and Bailey I couldn’t let them go I kept thinking it was all a dream I had to keep pinching my arm to make sure as we got inside I could tell Athena was working her magic around us but so could Terry as he spoke to Athena “there is no need to do any that we are no threat to any of you we are family and you are safe in here” but then Marcus goes all stiff and I herd his make a chocking noise I look at his face and see him staring at my mother Terry stood in front of her and Marcus I front of me “this is all magic as I seen You die it was my fault I killed you how can this be” he was worried now he knew something was wrong he was in protective mode now and so was Athena “hay it’s a long story sit down we can talk big guy don’t worry” I put my hand on his arm he calmed a little but he was still watching them like they were about to do something but we all sat and My mother told the whole story and we all listened it was long right enough must have took a few hours to tell threw all the questions but in the end we knew what happened and how and now Marcus understood better than me I held onto Bailey like my life depended on it I still couldn’t see how a mother could leave her child no matter what but I let it go for now and kept my mouth shut “but I do have to let you all know we would like for you to stay so we can get to know each other again but I have to let my people know tomorrow as they don’t trust outsiders or other kinds we are a close community and we have human family’s around also that we need to keep safe” Terry told us “why do vampires have humans around other than to kill or suck blood from” they all look at me I gulp s**t what did I say wrong “stereotype that what that is we don’t harm anyone we sent rogues we who live in this town only drink from the blood banks that the humans give to and yes before you ask they all know the truth that’s why we have the gates around and Garuda taking shifts to keep everyone safe we have a few rogue vampires they try get in now and again there nasty creatures and you need to be carful you don’t run into them as they don’t care who they attack or what they attack they just want blood and they don’t talk they just gnarl and bite” he shakes ok well then that’s news I never knew any that before I guess you learn something new every day “but lately that’s all been happening more often as more rogues are created and try to get in more” he was serious but I laugh they all look at me again “sorry I don’t mean to laugh but it all sounded a bit like the walking dead there people in a gated community staying safe fighting of the evil dead that lurks outside trying to get in and eat them” I try to hold back another laugh but Terry wasn’t impressed “I can assure you Carmel this is real life and if you ever come across a rougher then you probably wish you met a zombie and wished you had a rick to save you” he winked at me then aw he’s seen the walking dead omg a vampire watching a zombie program “Crystal had us all watching it” he utters a little embarrassed “yeah Carmel made me watch it to utter crap of you ask me” Marcus groans he did always hate watching it but liked to cuddle up with me and keep me company when pregnant if he wasn’t out checking things this time it was Crystal who laughed “well now what do you say would you’d like to stay for a while” I could tell Marcus wasn’t keen “I don’t think so we have a pack to keep safe and watch over just like you have people to keep maybe we can stay for a few days as Gerrard is dealing with pack for now but no longer I’m sorry” Marcus pulls me to him I knew he was only staying for me to get to know this new family and he was desperate to get home “great yeah well I will get things sorted for the spell that’s on Carmel” Crystal yelped “no need” Athena moans and then start to chant and places a hand on my head and after a moment I feel Marcus again our bond is back he felt it to as both of us make a purr sound together it’s back I feel him it’s so good.
