I was sitting up waiting for Marcus to come home when he did he looks at me runs over to my side “babe what’s wrong you look terrible did someone hurt you” he sounded worried I shake my head “I need to tell you something” I gulp as he waits looking at me with worry in his eyes “I can’t fight tomorrow I can’t go with you and it’s killing me knowing you will be leaving me to go fight” I felt him shake he stands back kneels down holding my hand “babe I’m glad you decided not to go it will be hard for you and will hurt you to fight against your father and I’m glad that I won’t have to worry about you over there” he tried to smile “Marcus I’m pregnant that’s why I can’t go” I realise I’m staring at the floor scared to look at him but he rises up and lifts me in his arms spins me around and kisses me “my god this is the best news you could ever say we’re going to be parents this is happening Luna said it would be quick but never knew it would be this quick babe you have made me the happiest wolf alive” I step back tears streaming down my face “yes but your still leaving to go to war tomorrow Marcus I’m scared you won’t come back to me that something will happen to you I can’t do this alone” he holds me close to him strokes my hair and we both lie down “shhh don’t talk just rest let’s not think about tomorrow let’s think about now and I promise I will be back to you and our baby don’t worry bout any that now let’s just cuddle and be happy right now in this moment” he holds me close with one hand and strokes my belly with the other placing a kiss on my head and all I can do is worry I can’t help that I can’t let him leave maybe my father will stop all this is he knows maybe I can stop all this if I talk to him yes that’s it I’ll wait till everyone including Marcus is asleep and go speak with my father. It was cold tonight and so dark glad as a wolf I can see perfectly in darkness I think I had been walking for over an hour I decide to change into wolf form and run the rest of the way all I could think about as I ran was me and Marcus are having a baby our own wee family and I was happy at that really I was but then I thought of my father and old pack and how they wanted to hurt and kill my new family for nothing really for me meeting my mate like dad always wanted and because he wasn’t from our pack dad hates it and would see me in pain hurt or dead I need for my father to see me face to face speak to me in person so I can tell him about the baby and he might change his mind and may even get to normal or close to it as possible but I stop in my tracks I could smell my old home I could smell old pack members I was close I change back to human form and realise shite I’m naked aw well nothing new for me I used to sneak out and go for a run wich was not aloud round here as my father was scared in case the humans found out I get closer I see the lights and the gate I approach 2 men stand at each side “hold who is there be warned you will be hurt if you try enter” I know that Voice I hold my hands up “Patrick it’s me Carmel I have come to see my father” he looked shocked but told the other guy who was new I hadn’t seen him before wich was strange “let her in” and the gates open Patrick hands me his jumper and spare pair of shorts from the side I laugh “you still have spare stuff at the side paddy” he growls “I told you a million times Carmel don’t call me that why do you never learn” but he smiles I shove on the clothes and follow him up to the hous “I’m glad your back girl” he murmurs I slap him on the back “nope I’m not just wanted to talk to my father this isn’t my pack or home any more Patrick sorry” I wink at him he ignores me and leads me to the door opens it let’s me in and I go to the library we’re I knew my father would be as that’s like his office I don’t knock I just open the door and walk in he was alone at his table his head snaps up he stares at me in shock then comes over and hugs me “ thank the gods you came back I knew you would see sense finally back were you belong my girl” he calls out for Luna Chloe she comes running in stops her eyes fill with tears she comes to me hands on shoulder looks me over “you seem unharmed good glad to have you back home” she kisses my check and goes and hugs my dad both smiling I shake my head “no dad I’m not back I just had to come speak to you to try stop all this war I’m pregnant and I have my mate and new pack but we can all be together I can still come visit and have you in my life we don’t need to fall out hate each other and fight please dad if you love me stop all this and try be my dad and grandad” I touch my stomach my body shaking like mad I see there faces change “you didn’t bring anyone with you why is that Carmel” he steps closer “I wanted to speak with you dad sort it out I came alone this isn’t a set up or anything I didn’t even tell anyone I was coming not even Marcus please just sit and talk to me” my legs were like jelly my dad shouts “dean” and moments later Dean was at my side with another male grabbing my arms “take my daughter to her room be careful she is with child but she won’t be leaving here she is back and Carmel I’m sorry it has come to this I’ll come speak to you soon get some rest” he turns I start to fight and jump around to get free but they were dragging me out “dad don’t do this I want to leave I can’t stay let me go I swear I will never forgive you dad listen to me please” no answer I was been dragged out I was crying and these two idiots won’t let go of me what have I done I’ve made a huge mistake my father is evil and can’t be reasoned with I should have stayed home.
