   In New York City, during one of the summer period sunny afternoons Anne Griffith sat on her bed fiddling with her curly blonde hair, she seemed devastated as she kept on letting sighs out of her mouth,it's been almost a year she graduated from college and she had been pounding the pavement for a music industry that would sign her but all efforts to get one proved abortive, some that even gave her a listening ear would put her on conditions they knew she couldn't meet, they were all looking for a ready made musician and her mother Ms Sarah Griffith a single mother who was ditched by her husband, Anne's dad three years after she birthed Anne for a gay wasn't helping matters, she would nag about having to pay all the bills in the house when her grown up daughter did nothing but idle around the house or go in search of some music industry to sign her for her music career instead of looking for a well paying job, Anne always felt her mother's voice jarring at her nerves each time she nagged like that but she knew her mother was right, she had been sitting at home for almost a year doing nothing but each time she decided to drop the idea of pursuing her music career and look for a well paying jobs she would feel like her whole life was going to rip apart at that moment then she would go on searching for industries to sign her.    Anne picked up her phone which was lieing beside her on the bed and logged into her social media page,then she got herself busied with scrolling up and down the page and liking and commenting on people's posts,an idea she had formulated to get her mind off the turmoil in her life,then she came across an ad that was talking about a music competition SHINY VOICE , her heart jerked a bit when she saw this, SHINY VOICE was a big music competition organized by four great musicians, her idol and hero James scott a billionaire heir and very famous pop musician was one of the founder of the program which had lots of benefits attached to it, the other three were Karen Evans, Lily Smith and Dave Anderson,they were all great and famous musicians and her heart couldn't help thumping aloud, she looked at the link given for those interested in the competition and her eyes couldn't help getting misty as she realized that she wouldn't have been the only one who saw the ad and she was sure thousands of people would have already applied and many more would still apply for the competition, she kept on staring at the link for quite a while before she finally clicked on it, she read the requirements and her heart skipped, the competition would be holding in Atlanta and participants we're to send a video of themselves singing a song in their best voice tune and best mood, the most shocking of the requirements to Anne was the venue stated Georgia  she couldn't think of where she could get the money for the trip from and she was sure that her mother the only person that could help her was financially handicap at the moment with all the piling bills on her neck, Anne became convinced that the competition wasn't meant for her and began to think that her mother had been right after all, she should rather go in search of a profitable job instead of pursuing fantasies her mother would call her dream.     Guys am so sorry about the cover photo didn't crop it well and wasn't able to change it.
