River's POV
My parents were already at Kobe’s door by the time I got there. Dad opened the door, and I rushed in, ready to attack whoever it was, but to my surprise, there was nobody else in the room. Kobe was on the bed with his eyes tightly shut while he thrashed around and was screaming his head off.
Mum and Dad stood by the door with their eyes wide in surprise. I rushed to Kobe and started shaking him awake.
‘Kobe wake up. It is only a dream,’ I said repeatedly while I kept shaking him. Whatever he was experiencing in there was holding him down and it must have felt very real.
Kobe suddenly opened his eyes. His eyes were glassy as if he didn't recognize where he was. He jumped away from me so I had to raise my hands to indicate that I wasn't going to harm him.
