And she spent every possible minute, thanking God for Alice andhe. They were the lights ofher life. Life was good but of lately, things were drastically falling apart. Firstly, her dad was battling with cancer; a conditionhehid fromher and unfortunately,he passed away six months beforeher engagement party to Alex. Unprepared to live alone, shehad to stay withher dad's ex-wife, Dicarenda Fernandez. She wouldhave easily moved in with Alice or Alex, but they both lived in a city that was about 400km from where she stayed. Dicarenda was messy, wicked and shehated Janette. The first day she moved in with Dicarenda, Janette was forced to do the pending laundry and dishes of more than 3 months.Up top of that, she received no love or attention. As if that wasn't heartbreaking enough, her hancé Alex broke off the engagement.he publicly announced thathe didn't want to marryher anymore.he saidhehad found “the true one forhim” . About 3 days later,he proposed to Alice and shehappily accepted without thinking whather childhood friend would go through. The pain of losingher dad,her best friend andher hancé at once was toohard to bear. She fell intoher misery and let it overpowerher. Instead of the society to sympathize withher, they added salt toher injury. They blamedher forher father's demise and said that was the reason Alex lefther. When Dicarendaheard the rumors, she used it as an excuse to kick Janette out ofherhouse. Janette was staying alone comfortably for a month until a day when she was called to a solicitor's ofhce to signher father's large fortune to Dicarenda andher only son. She refused, so they forgedher signatures on the papers. That straw broke the camel's back. Janette fell into depression. She developed a severe mental disease over time. It was calledhypermabilitia, which was an anger issue that madeher blind to reason once provoked. She started avoiding people because anyone she would meet would get injured. She started wreckingherhouse, physicallyhurtingherself, even going as far as skipping out on work and on taking care ofherself.her bills were due,her boss was about to hreher but she didn't care. Everyone was too scared to talk toher so they calledher cursed behindher back. And one day she paused. Draggedherself on bloodiedhands and knees to the mirror and looked. Really looked. She was a shadow ofherself. A version neither Mom or Dad would be proud of. And with a sad smile, she decided to make lemonade out of life's lemons. She started attending therapy and in a while, things were going all right. She got a second job to cover up allher bills and before long; she was too busy to recall anything thathadhappened. Fortunately, as luck wouldhave it, she gothired in ahigh-paying company in Denmark, and soon she could leave allher troubles behind. A week prior toher relocation, she foundherself in the central park, viewing the scenery and listening to the bustling on the streets of a town that she once calledher own. Then, out of the blue, someone called out Janette's name. She saw, in the distance, Alex and Alice waving ather. She wanted tomake a run for it, but it was too late and they were already at the bench where she sat. “Janette, it‟s been so long since we' ve seen. Weheard all the terrible things thathappened toyou, but we were too busy planning our luxurious wedding, right babey ” Alice said, with a very mischievous grin. “ yes of course, darling. It's a pityyou weren't able to make it, Janette. Our wedding was top notch” Alex included, followinghis wife's game. “But we'rehaving an after party this evening andyou 're welcome to attend” Alice said. “No thanks, I need to prepare for my relocation to Denmark. I'll be moving in a week, ” Janette said, matter-of-factly. They stayed for a while, making provocative petty talk while commenting each other flirtatiously. Janette looked at the girl she once trusted withher life, and she thought: “What is so special in Alice that Alex couldn‟t see in mey I was always on top of the class inhigh school. I was elected the prom queen. I graduated with a first-class-first degree in Criminology. Ihad a better life than Alice did. So why did God do this to me?Why is she reaping the fruit of my labor?” All these thoughts and more roamed through Janette'shead as the two people whohad no idea ofher level ofhate towards them stood beforeher. And then she reachedher c****x. Instantly, she carried a pen fromher purse and stabbed Alice in the eye with it. In that moment, the park became ahazardzone. In a split second, Janette managed to slip away. She knew that the police were afterher and that is when she decided to endher life before she was saved by the mystery man. Janette woke up and foundherself in ahuge room. It was beautifully decorated with statues, pictures and ornaments that gave it a majestic 90's look. The walls and floor were made of pure gold and the curtains were of untainted silk. Even the bed she lay onhad silk sheets. She was so busy admiring the larger-than-life scene that she did not notice someone sitting besideher. “Soyou‟re awake?hope I didn‟t disturbyour sleep”he said. At this moment, she was supposed to panic but she was too amazed to move. This guyhad the facial features of a god: shiny silver and blackhair that complementedhis fair unblemished skin, his bright red eyes that could set aheart on hre,his well defined body, his black and white wing that tucked in behindhis back andhis glorious armour that madehim look like a sort of divinity. “He‟s beautiful ” Janette said withinherself. Like as ifheheardher thought,he replied: “Don‟t be too stunned. My looks are just the tip of the iceberg. Wait tillyou meet the top DOG, ”he said with a smile. “Wait a second. Who areyou? Where am I? What am I doinghere? Am I supposed to be dead by now? Didyou rescue me?how didyou rescue me? Areyou a sort of demon or angel or superheroy I need answers now!” Jannette yelled in panic after comprehending the .
