The Boy Everyone Warned Me About
The first day at Westbridge University was supposed to be the beginning of my dream life.
New school.
New friends.
New memories.
At least, that’s what I told myself as I stepped through the school gate, holding a campus map in one hand and my suitcase in the other.
What I didn’t know was that my biggest problem wouldn’t be the lectures…
It would be him.
“You see that guy?” a girl beside me whispered.
I looked up.
A tall boy walked through the campus wearing black headphones, hands in his pockets, completely ignoring everyone around him. Yet somehow, everyone stared at him.
Some girls smiled.
Some boys moved out of his way.
Others simply shook their heads.
“Who’s he?” I asked.
She laughed.
“That’s Jayden Blake. The king of Gen Z boys.”
“What does that even mean?”
“He lives for social media, parties every weekend, changes girlfriends like outfits, never replies to texts on time, acts cold but secretly cares, and somehow still tops every exam.”
I rolled my eyes.
“Sounds overrated.”
The girl looked at me with pity.
“That’s what everyone says… until they meet him.”
As if fate was listening, Jayden suddenly stopped walking.
He turned.
Our eyes met.
For three long seconds, the entire campus seemed to freeze.
Then…
He smirked.
Not a friendly smile.
Not an arrogant smile.
It was the kind of smile that said…
“Your peaceful life ends today.”
I had no idea that meeting Jayden Blake would change everything I thought I knew about friendship, love, loyalty, and the strange world of Gen Z boys.
And this was only the beginning…
