Chapter 5: Look-A-Like

Sandra's POV

Those thick eyebrows, those pairs of dark eyes, pointed nose, his sexy red lips and his perfect jawline.

My Luca resembles this man very much.

"Miss, watch your way."

Nawala ang atensyon ko sa lalaking kamukha ni Luca ng biglang nagsalita ang katabi nitong lalake.

I shifted my gaze to the man.

He's handsome but he's looks is far inferior to the man beside him. He's very charming and exudes an approachable and cool aura. He's very different from the man beside him.

Luca's look-a-like exudes a very powerful and domineering aura. You will fear him because of his cold aura but you will surely worship his god-like appearance.

I didn't reacted to the man's words and shifted my gaze back to the man who looks like Luca.

He didn't speak. He's just looking at me with his furrowed eyebrows. He's looking at me as if analyzing my whole being.

His dark eyes is scary. Hindi ko yata kayang makipagtitigan sa kanya. Iniyuko ko na lang ang ulo ko uutal-utal na nagsalita. His gaze is making me feel uncomfortable, making me stutter.

"I-Im sorry. I w-was in a hurry. Hinahanap ko kasi ang a—"

My words were interrupted by a sudden noise. It was my phone ringing. I fish out my phone and saw Freya calling. I immediately answered the call, hoping for a good news.

"Hello, Freya?"

"Sandra, I found Luca. Nandito na kami sa baba, we'll wait you here." Freya announced.

Thank God, she found Luca.

"Ok, papunta na ako diyan." I said then hung up the phone.

Binalik ko paningin ko sa kamukha ni Luca, the man who I bumped with.

"Pasensya na ulit."

I apologize for the second time then turned my back to leave. Hindi pa ako masyadong nakakalayo ng lingunin ko ulit ang lalaking kamukha ni Luca. His gaze is still fixed on me. I quickly withdraw my gaze and walk faster.

Luke Alexander Imperial and Vito Imperial was walking quietly in the Imperial Grand's hallway when

a woman suddenly bumped into Alexander.

"Arghhh" The woman groaned in pain.

Vito's gaze automatically shifted to Alexander. He saw how Alexander's brows furrowed. Since he is Alexander's closest cousin, he surely knows what kind of temper Alexander has. His cousin doesn't like anyone touching him. He hates people. He always bring bodyguards with him to avoid people coming near him. But tonight is different, he don't have his bodyguards with him that would protect him from unexpected incidents. And now, a woman just bumped into him.

Vito felt a little nervous for the lady. He don't know what his cousin might do to the woman. Even him thinks that his cousin is evil. Alexander has an evil temper. Everyone around him is scared of him.

He was expecting that Alexander would throw a deadly stares to the woman, but Alexander just look at the woman as if analyzing her.

This is the first time he saw Alexander look at a woman like this.

Vito shifted his gaze to the woman. The woman was staring at Alexander with shock.

"Miss, watch your way" Vito said.

Suddenly, the woman shifted her gaze to Vito.

Vito was instantly mesmerized by the woman's beauty, specially her beautiful set of eyes. It's like hypnotizing him.

The woman even looks more dazzling in her sexy evening dress.

He had dated countless women with different kinds of beauty but the woman in front of him is the most beautiful that he have ever seen.

The woman looked at Vito for a couple of seconds then shifted his gaze back to Alexander.

"I-Im sorry. I w-was in a hurry. Hinahanap ko kasi ang a—"

The woman apologized but was interrupted by a phone call.

After the call ended. The woman fixed her sight back to Alexander and apologized for the second time.

She then turned around and walk away.

Vito followed the woman with his gaze and saw how the woman looked back and took a glance of Alexander.

'Hindi man lang ako tiningnan'

Vito speak to himself.

He's a little disappointed that the woman didn't mind his presence.

He noticed that Alexander's gaze is still fixed to the woman who's walking away.

'woah, am I seeing it right? The great Luke Alexander Imperial is staring at a woman? This is new'

Vito speak to himself again. He was so amaze, he never saw Alexander stare at a woman. He is used to seeing Alexander not giving attention to women, not even a mere glance. But now, this ruthless businessman and a woman hater is now staring at a woman.

Looks like this heartless evil will finally learn to love.

Alexander started to walk again as if nothing happened and Vito immediately followed.

Sandra's POV

Pagkalabas ko ng building ay nakaabang na ang kotse ni Freya. I entered the car immediately and saw Freya hugging and caressing Luca's back, maybe trying to calm him down. The car immediately move after I entered.

Agad namany umakap sa akin si Luca.

"Mommy..." Luca seems to be so worried for me.

I held his face and caress his cheeks. Walang bahid ng pag-iyak sa mukha niya. He must be scared but he didn't cried. Ang tapang ng anak ko, unlike me.

"Luca baby, I'm sorry if I wasn't able to protect you. I'm so sorry anak. I won't let that happen again. I promise."

I said as my voice started to crack. I feel so useless. I'm proud and thankful to have Luca, but I feel useless that I couldn't even protect him.

"It's Ok, mommy. I'm okay now. Did Lolo hurt you again?"

I shook my head as a response. Ayaw ko nang malaman pa niya ang nangyari sa akin sa kwartong yun. Dad might not have hurted me physically but he just broke my heart again

I called Colt after cleaning up and tucking Luca to bed. I told him everything my father said.

[ Book a plane ticket and leave the country immediately. Baka kung ano pa ang gawin niya sa inyo pag hindi kayo agad nakaalis diyan.]

Colt suggested. That’s what I was planning to do actually. I can’t let dad to have a chance to hurt Luca.

“Yes, I’ll do that.” I firmly agreed. We really need to leave immediately.

[Call me kung kailan kayo makakabalik dito. Susunduin ko kayo sa airport.]

“Ok, sige. Goodbye Colt.” I’m sure Colt is busy, so I took the initiative to end the call.

[Be more careful,Sandy. Bye] He said then I hung up the phone.

I put the phone on the bedside table and lay down on the bed.

I lay down to bed facing the sleeping Luca.

Naalala ko yung mga sinabi ni Dad.

Kaya pala gusto niya akong bumalik. He wants to use me to expand his business. He wants to use me to satisfy his greediness.

Bumalik ako ng bansa dahil sinabi niya, dahil ama ko siya at may respeto pa rin ako sa kanya.

Bumalik ako kahit nag-aalinlangan dahil ayokong lumala pa ang galit niya sa akin.

But, sana pala hindi na lang ako bumalik.

Pinabalik niya lang ako para ibenta. Para sa negosyo niya.

How could he do this to me? Business niya lang ba ang mahalaga sa kanya?

Even since when I was young, halos wala siyang oras para sa akin. At kahit noong naghihingalo na si mom, trabaho pa rin ang inaatupag niya. I even thought that he doesn’t care about me and mom, pero hinayaan ko siya.

Noong namatay si mom, halos hindi ko siya makita sa lamay, nandon lang siya office niya. I thought he was just trying to distract his self from the pain that mom’s death brought, but I was wrong.

Sa araw ng libing ni mommy, ilang minuto lang siyang nagpakita at umalis agad. He said, may meeting pa daw siyang pupuntahan.

I was so broken for losing my mom and what hurt me the most is that, I realized that my father didn’t care. He never cared for me and mom at all.

Dad gave me all the material things I want. He gave me money and let me live a luxurious life but I never felt his love.

And now, he’s selling me as if I am a seed he nurtured and when the right time comes, he would sell me for a big price.

Kaya pala galit-galit siya noong nasira kami ni Lorenzo. Lorenzo came from a wealthy family. Wealthier than him. He must have been thinking of using my relationship with Lorenzo for his own desires. And now, Ada is marrying Lorenzo. He must be happy, dahil magkakaroon na ulit ng pagkakataong gamitin ang yaman at kapangyarihan ng mga San Agustin.

And he despise Luca ‘cause he thinks that Luca is a hindrance for his plans of marrying me into a wealthy man.

His greediness will bring him down, soon.

I can’t help myself but shed a tears. Ang sakit lang isipin na ganito sa akin si dad. Hindi ko mapigilang makaramdam ng galit para sa ama ko.

Many girls were so envious of me before. They say, I’m pretty, I’m rich, I’m smart. I am almost perfect, they think. But they’re wrong. My life was far from perfection. It was never a perfect life.

I may have the things that everyone desires, but I don’t have the love of a father that I’m wishing for.

But now, things have changed. I already have someone that would make me feel the love that I have been craving for. That’s Luca, my son.

I suddenly thought of the man I bumped into.

How could he have the same features with my son?

Hindi naman kaya siya yung lalaki nung gabing yun?

But, I don’t think so.

He looks very aloof.

Nakakatakot siyang lapitan. He looks very dangerous, yung tipong hinding hindi ka palalampasin kapag na offend mo siya.

At mukhang hindi din siya yung tipo ng taong basta basta mo lang malalapitan.

Yeah, hindi siya ang ama ni Luca.

Siguro?

Hindi ako sigurado, lalo na’t magkamukhang magkamukha sila ng anak ko.

Pero baka nagkataon lang na magkamukha sila?

Nagkataon lang ba talaga?

I reach for my phone again. I need to book a plane ticket now.

Sold out na lahat ng tickets for morning kaya panghapon ang nakuha ko. Our flight will be at 2 tomorrow afternoon.

Bukas ko na lang ipapaalam kay Freya ang pag-alis namin ni Luca.

I only hope that we could leave immediately.

Alexander walk out of the bathroom, wearing only a towel, covering the lower part of his body. Hair is still dripping wet. Droplets of water run down from his hair down to his masculine body.

His eyes pass through his bed. He suddenly remembered the woman who bumped into him. That woman’s voice is very similar to the woman he slept with five years ago. He could still remember how that drunk woman groaned in pain when he entered her. It was similar to how the woman’s painful groaned when she bumped into him in the hotel’s ally.

And the woman’s sweet moans as he pleasures her, resembles the woman’s sweet voice he met hours ago.

Yes, he could still remember that night from five years ago. How could he forget? It was the only time he lose his control and took over a woman’s body. He drowned himself in pleasure that night.

The woman’s pair of eyes suddenly popped into his memory. Those pair of eyes gives him goosebumps. They were so innocent. It made him wants those eyes to only look at him. He likes how his reflection can be seen in those pair of beautiful eyes.

And her angelic face….

Wait, what? What is he thinking?

Was he attracted to the woman?

No, he not.

He don’t have time for a woman. Women are nothing for him.

He shook off his thoughts about the woman and walk towards his walk-in closet.

He walks out of the closet wearing a white shirt and a pajama. He then walk out of his room and proceeded to his office in his house and continued working again.

Sandra’s POV

No! No! This is not happening. This is not happening!

We are so ready to leave the country but we were banned from the airport. Kahit saang airport. I even begged the airport’s staffs para lang hayaan kaming umalis pero wala akong napala. Wala kaming nagawa ni Luca kundi ang umuwi.

Hindi na kami makakaalis.

Hindi na.

Pinapasok ko muna si Luca sa kwarto para makapagpahinga while I stay in the living room, frustrated.

I can’t help but cry out because of frustration.

I take out my phone from my sling bag and dialled Colt’s number.

It took several rings before he answered. He must be busy.

[Hello, Sandy? Na—]

“Colt hindi kami makakaalis. We’re banned from the airport.”

I cut Colt’s words and Immediately announced the bad news.

[What!? ] Colt shouted in anger. I can’t help but to release a sob.

“Colt anong gagawin ko?” I asked, voice full of tiredness and frustration.

[ How did you get banned?] Colt asked.

I’m pretty sure this is all dad’s doing. I don’t know how he did it, but I’m sure its him. Hindi niya ako hahayaang makatakas sa mga plano niya.

“Si Daddy, I’m sure si Daddy may gawa” I said while sobbing.

[Godd*mn it! What kind of father is he?!]

Mas lalo lang akong napaiyak dahil sa sinabi ni Colt.

“Colt, what should I do?” I asked again. Tears are falling down from my eyes, nonstop.

[For now, wag kayong lalapit sa kanya. Magtago muna kayo. Naiintindihan mo Sandy?]

“Oo, gagawin ko.”

[Inform me kapag mag nangyari na namang hindi maganda.] He reminded me. I nodded my head kahit hindi niya nakikita.

[Pupuntahan ko kayo, pagkatapos ng project ko.] He added.

“Sige. Thanks Colt.” I said then hung up the phone.

I shouldn’t have came back here. I shouldn’t have.

My father had threw me out of the house before. I never expect that things could go worst than that.

Ano na Sandra, mag-isip ka. Ayaw mo naman sigurong makasal sa taong hindi mo kilala diba? Lalo na sa taong halos doble na ng edad mo ang tanda.

“Mommy…” I raised my head and saw Luca walking towards me. I immediately wipe my tears away. Ayaw kong makita ako ni Luca ng ganito.

“Mommy, you’re crying again.” Luca said as he caress my cheeks.

I pulled him for a tight hug.

“I’m sorry Luca. Hindi muna tayo makakauwi ng L.A ha? Dito muna tayo.”

“It’s ok mommy. Gusto ko din po dito kasi nandito si Daddy.” He said. I released him from my tight hug and hold his face.

“Baby, si Daddy kasi, wala siya dito. Diba sabi ni Ninang nagwo-work si Daddy sa—”

“Pero nakita ko po siya doon sa hotel.” Nakita niya ang Daddy niya doon sa hotel? Sino?

Was he referring to the man whom I bumped into?

Nakita din niya ang lalaking yun?

Iniisip niya ba na ang lalaking yun ang Daddy niya dahil magkamukha sila?

“Nakita mo siya doon?” I asked him to confirm. He nodded his head to confirm his statement.

“Opo, nung tumakbo po ako, nakita ko siya. But I lost him again.” He said but his voice sounds a little disappointed.

“Did he saw you?” He shake his head indicating that the answer is no.

I pulled him for a hug again.

“Don’t cry anymore mom, everyone who bullied you will pay. Daddy will make them pay.”

I just nodded my head to him, kahit hindi ako sigurado na mangyayari nga yun.

Nasaan na ba kasi ang ama mo ‘nak? I need his help protecting you from my father.

Pero, kung mahahanap ko nga ang ama mo, matatanggap ka kaya niya?

I spend the rest of the day thinking of how unfortunate I am. I even shed some tears before closing my eyes to sleep.

Kinabukasan, I woke up with a puffy eyes. I put some face powder para hindi masyadong halata at para hindi magtanong si Luca. Ayokong isipin pa ng anak ko ang mga nangyayari.

I planned to bring Luca to the nearest park. I need some fresh air, same with Luca.

Simula kasi noong dumating kami dito, problema agad ang sumalubong sa amin. Hindi ko man lang nagawang ipasyal ang anak ko.

Apektado ang anak ko sa mga nanyari kaya gusto ko muna ilabas siya para ma distract siya. Pero hindi kami pwedeng lumayo, baka makita kami ni dad.

Nakikita kong masaya ang anak ko habang nililibot namin ang park. Minsan lang din naman kasi kami lumalabas ni Luca, kahit dun sa L.A. I’m always busy with my work that I always have a little time to bond with him, pero hindi siya nagre-reklamo.

Habang naglilibot kami, there are times that I caught him staring at the kids, who where with their mom and dad. Nakikita ko ang inggit sa mata ng anak ko.

‘I’m sorry Luca, I can’t give you a complete family. Kahit ako mismo hindi ko alam kung paano kukumpletuhin ang pamilyang to.’

I bought Luca to the nearest restaurant for lunch.

Kahit papano napasaya ko naman ang anak ko.

Vito had a lunch meeting in a restaurant near the park. After the lunch meeting, he and his female secretary prepare to head back to Imperial Group main building.

He was walking his way out when his eyes caught a very familiar face. It was a young boy sitting near the glass door of the restaurant.

He stop his steps and fixed his eyes to the young boy.

His eyes slowly widened in shock when he realized something.

'Holy sh*t! That kid looks exactly like Alexander. I can't be mistaken.'

Vito speak to himself. He grew up with Alexander, he could still remember how Alexander looks like when he was young. He looks exactly like the kid.

The young boy was with a woman, but he couldn't see her face. The woman was sitting facing her back to him. He could only see her long silky black hair.

"Sir, are you ok?"

Vito came back to his senses when his secretary spoke.

He slowly lift his right arm and point his long finger to the boy.

" That kid, kamukhang kamukha niya si Alexander."

Vito stated without taking his eyes off from the kid. His secretary curiously followed the direction he's pointing. Her eyes also widened in shock.

"Kamukhang kamukha nga. May anak po si Mr. Imperial, sir Vito?"

The Secretary asked with doubt.

Luke Alexander Imperial is known to be a woman hater, how could it be that there's a kid who looks exactly like him?!

"I don't know."

Vito responded. Even him doubted it, but he couldn't deny the fact that he could see his cousin in the child.

"Baka nagkataon lang na magkamukha sila ni Mr. Imperial, sir Vito."

The Secretary said. This is just too unbelievable for them.

"Baka nga."

He never seen Alexander dated a woman since he took over the Imperial Group, which was 7 years ago. The kid seems to be 4-5 years old. If Alexander dated a woman when he's already the President of Imperial Group, he must have known it.

'May tinatago ka ba Alexander?'

He speak to his mind.

"Sir, kailangan na po nating umalis." He's secretary reminded him. He still have loads of work left in his office.

He just nodded his head and unwillingly took eyes off from the boy. He started to move and his secretary followed him quietly.

He took a glance of the kid from the outside. The restaurant walls were glass, so the people inside is visible to the outside.

He search for the woman who's accompanying the kid. He was expecting to see the woman's face since she was facing the glass wall, but the woman is nowhere to be found. She must have gone to the c.r.

He took a last glance to the kid before he entered the car.

Trace of amazement is visible in Vito's handsome face. First, he caught his cold-hearted cousin staring at a woman, and now, there's a kid who resembles Alexander's features very much. How amazing.

Sandra's POV

I was about to prepare our dinner, pero wala na pa lang laman ang ref. So I decided to bring Luca out for dinner.

I was holding my son's small hand as we walk out of the building.

Paglabas namin ng building, isang tao ang hindi ko inaasahang makikita ko.

"Sandra.." He called my name, voice filled with loneliness.

What is he doing here? Oh right, alam niya pala na nandito ang condo ko.

He took a few steps toward us and called my name for the second time.

"Sandra..." He's eyes were full of longing as he look at me.

"What are you doing here Lorenzo?"

He should be with his fiancée. I'm sure Ada will explode in anger if she learned this.

"Sandra, love let's talk, please." He beg.

I was shock to hear him. Did he just call me 'love'?

What the....

I didn't give him a response. I just look at him with indifference.

I saw how his eyes darted to Luca. His face became sadder as he look back to me.

"Love, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not giving you a chance to explain. Sobra akong nasaktan noon sa nalaman ko. I love you so much that I couldn't think properly and left without hearing your side......"

He explained.

Unti unting bumalik na naman ang masakit na nakaraan sa akin. Until unti na ring nag-iinit ang mga mata ko.

No, hindi dapat ako umiyak. I already moved on.

"Hinanap kita days after that, pero wala ka na sa mansyon niyo. Hinanap kita kay Freya at Colt, but I didn't get anything. You suddenly disappeared....."

Hinanap niya ako kay Colt at Freya? Wala silang sinabi sa akin..

"I still love you Sandra. Ikaw pa rin."
