Axel As the alpha of our pack, I knew there was a lot of responsibility that came with the title. It was my responsibility to lead the pack, to keep my pack safe from any threats inside or outside the pack. That's what this was all about, the tension in the room was palpable as Kai, Lucas and I sat in my office discussing the rogue that had been causing havoc. As the leaders of our pack, it was our responsibility to protect our land and the wolves who called it home. But this rogue was proving to be a formidable opponent. The other packs had been tracking him for months, but he always seemed to be one step ahead of them. His crimes were becoming more daring and violent, and it was only a matter of time before he struck again. So the council in their last meeting chose that he should be killed. Our pack was close to his last known location and as the biggest pack we should be the one to kill him. We were all gathered in my office, poring over maps and discussing strategies to deal with the rogue. Kai, my beta, was scribbling notes furiously while Lucas, my third-in-command, was studying the border patrol schedule."I heard he's been attacking lone travelers on the outskirts", Kai said, his voice laced with concern. "We can't risk any of our pack members getting hurt and the council wants him gone by the end of the week", I stated firmly, leaning over the map to emphasize the seriousness of the situation. "We need to do a plan in place before he attack our pack" I said. Both of them nodded in agreement. Lucas as my third in command was the head of our defense team. "We've sent out some scouts to track his movements, but he seems to be cunning. He hasn't left any traces behind". I leaned back in my chair, feeling the weight of our responsibility weighing heavily on my shoulders. 'What do we know about him?' Lucas pulled out a file from his bag and handed it to me. "Not much. He's a lone wolf, no pack or alliances. He's been moving from territory to territory, causing chaos wherever he goes. It seems like he's searching for something, but we don't know what". I looked through the file, studying the few pieces of information we had. "We need to figure out what he's after and stop him before it's too late". Kai's eyes narrowed. "But how? We can't just attack him blindly. He's unpredictable". Just then, my office door burst open and in stormed a young wolf, his fur bristling and his eyes wild with fear. "Alpha, alpha!" he panted, trying to catch his breath. "The rogue...I saw him near the east border". I quickly turned to Kai and Lucas, determination etched on my face. "We need to act now. Lucas, gather a team and head towards the east border. You need to secure it I want to know how he got in when we get back. Kai, you come with me. We'll track down the rogue from the west side" I ordered. Without hesitation, my team sprang into action. While Lucas and his group set out to secure our eastern border, Kai and I transformed into our wolf forms and started tracking the rogue. As we ran through the dense forest, our senses on high alert, we could hear the rogue's growls getting louder and closer. We knew we were getting closer to finding him. But all of a sudden Lexa come across the mind link. 'Boys is there anyone in the pack near the lake'. s**t I thought the rogue. 'Lexa its a rogue you have to get out of there' Kai warned his mate, his speed picked up. 'Guys Zola and Emma are with me' she said I could hear that she was worried. Lexa could defend herself if needed and as Zola and Emma are both mates to werewolves it wouldn't be breaking the rule. But I couldn't think about that, the one thing I thought was that my mate was there. All of a sudden Arthur pushed forward using his speed with Alex to make us faster. When I got there the wolf was pounding towards the girls and before I could think Alex slammed our body against him. We tumbled to the ground, our growls filling the air. He started to walk and I allowed our body to move with him. 'Lexa get them out of here' I mind linked her. I could see that she followed the order grabbing Zola and pulling her along. Once they were out of sight I turned my attention back to the rogue, my senses on high alert. He was standing a few feet away from me, growling and baring his teeth. I could see the hunger in his eyes, the thirst for blood. But I was not afraid. I was a trained warrior, a protector of my pack. The rogue lunged towards me, his jaws open wide. But just in time, I moved my body, aiming for my own attack. I aimed for his neck, knowing that it was his weak spot. As I sunk my teeth into his flesh, I could taste his blood. The rogue continued to struggle against my hold. I could feel his claws digging into my fur, but I held on tight, determined to finish this once and for all. I shifted into my human form, my grip on the rogue never faltering. I let Arthur push to the front. At that moment I felt Arthur's presence, he was in control of my body as I watched. Arthur leaned in and bit down on his neck once again, this time with all our might. Even in the back over my mind. I could feel his blood flowing into my mouth, warm and rich. It was a strange sensation, but one that I couldn't resist. I could suddenly feel a strange energy coursing through my body, as if the rogue's blood was somehow invigorating me. I could feel my strength increasing, my senses sharpening. As I drank in his blood, I could feel myself changing. My muscles grew stronger, my senses becoming more acute. And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, it was over. The rogue's body went limp in my arms, his blood drained. I stood there, panting and covered in blood.
