Jack was walking aimlessly and like many who had survived the explosion who were yet to see the creatures, did not see or have any reason to be cautious as they walked around then from the distance afar off, he saw three people running as if they were being chased. When he looked closely, he noticed they were actually four. One (probably a woman) was being carried. “Why are they running” Jack thought and as they drew near. He figured out it was the boy from his dreams. The one he was supposed to keep safe. He wondered how he could have possibly kept anyone safe in the wake of such an explosion.
When they caught up with him and explained why they were running and how they were even able to escape in the first place, Jack was at a loss for words but the thought of Sam being able to control
