HME#2: Suspicion

Cruisien's POV "Father, listen to me. I did nothing against your rule" I explained but he only shook his head and continued eating his meal. "Mother?" I looked at my mom but she only glared at me. "Just eat your meal and go to your room afterward. You are not allowed to go out, you understand?" I bit my lower lip and just nods my head. I stared at my food in front of me. I can't even swallow it properly. I heaved a sigh and have a spoonful of food in my mouth. I can't even remember that I went out last night. They couldn't even listen to my explanations. They already set their mind and I couldn't help but stay silent. "I'm done..." I uttered and without having a last glance on them, I turned my back and went upstairs. I go straight to my room. I leaned to the door of my room once I get in. I crossed my arms and roamed my eyes in my room until I saw my laptop on my bedside table. I glanced at my back and tiptoed towards my bedside table. I sat down and opened my laptop. I saved the CCTV footage earlier, so it should be one of the folders here. I run through all the files and folders but I couldn't find it. This is frustrating! I saved it earlier and now it's missing?! It couldn't be. There's someone in here framing me and now that I have a shred of evidence, it went missing? The culprit is smart and clever, huh? I leaned on my seat after shutting down my laptop. Now that the footage is missing, I can't turn the page. I glared at my laptop as I grit my teeth. Whoever is that person, I must reveal its damn identity! I stood up and went into my veranda. I closed my eyes as the wind blows gazed my face. I stared at the pathway in front of me. It was too far from my reach. I heaved a sigh and looked up at the night sky. "You're giving me a hard time right now. Oh, I forgot, you're always giving me a hard time" I murmured and closed my eyes as tears run down my face. I sniffed and cried silently. I opened my eyes and glared at the ground. 'I hate this. I really hate this!' I thought as I gripped at the railings, tightly. I breathed heavily as I tried to calm myself down. This is tiring. "When can I freely roamed around? I may be just growing old without seeing the world outside this hell. Or worst, die alone here" I mumbled and puffed air. I messed my hair and put my chin on my hands and stared at the scenery in front of me. A flower garden on the right side. I rolled my eyes as I couldn't even have a chance to be there and play with the flowers. Just now I realized, since birth, I never get out of this place, of my room. They really locked me up like a prisoner. Considering that I am their daughter, I sigh. A fountain in the middle. A pathway surrounding the fountain and a straight pathway down to the gate of our house. But I never get the chance to see how it looked like. And a parking lot on the left side. I pouted and heaved a deep breath, again. I will never get tired of heaving a sigh as they also never get tired of pushing me away. I really feel that they are keeping a secret from me. "Why I am always--" I stopped and stood straight when I caught a glimpse of a shadow in the garden. I creased my forehead when the person's outfit looks familiar. I was about to turn around to go down when my mother's voice stopped me. 'You are not allowed to go out', I cursed under my breath and messed my hair. I bit my lower lip as I glanced at the garden. That someone might be going to meet another one. And I have to know who it is and why does she need to go out at this hour. I glanced back at my room. Now that they set their mind to locking me from this hell, I might as well really break their rule. I took a step backward as I readied myself. I looked at the tree beside the veranda of my room. It was just a meter distance and I have to do it despite of the danger screaming in my mind. If I don't get to know why I might die in curiosity. So I need to do this. I counted one to three as I jumped. I cursed silently the side my body slammed at the trunk of the tree. I gripped at the branch tightly as my body swayed. I winced in pain but did not mind it. Once I get my senses back, I dropped myself to the ground. "Whoa," I exclaimed and feel the wind hitting my face. This feels good. I shook my head and followed the route she took earlier. I must know the reason why she has to be out at this hour. I glanced at my wristwatch on my right arm. It says, 11:30 pm. At 12, my parents will check me out. I only have thirty minutes to do an investigation. I run down through the pathway here in the garden. I hissed every time some vines hit my face and my skin. I scratch my arms. It's too itchy. I don't know how many minutes I am walking through the dark alley, I've never been here, as I said, I am only inside that hell house, mansion rather. "This is tiring" I mumbled and was about to pass a tree when I hear a voice. "How's your operation?" A guy's voice. And what the heck? What's operation? "Doing good so far" my eyes widen as my suspicion is right. Her clothes got me. She really is what I've thought to. "Why do you want to see me? You know, it's too dangerous to meet up here" the woman said. Though her words are meant to be panic, her voice isn't. It was stern and cold. I heard the guy hissed. "Se, don't worry too much. I just miss you, come on" I furrowed my brows. Is this some shitty lovey-dovey meet up aside from the 'operation' they talk about? "Shut up, you jerk! Get out of here before I change my mind" I bit my lower lip and took a step back. I need to go, they seemed to finish discussing something. I never get the chance to keep up with the conversation, geez! I silently go back to the house. I climbed at the tree and jumped into the veranda. I successfully landed myself. I looked in the direction where I came from. Now that I know, she meeting someone from out there, I need to be careful. They're planning something with just the word 'operation', I know they are. I went back to my room. After thinking much of what happened today, I went down into the living room. The lights are already off. I went straight into the kitchen and opened the fridge. I poured water into a glass. "Geez! Too cold" I murmured and drink all of it. I tilted my head sideways as the back door opened. "Oh Tori, why are you still up?" I asked, I heard her gasped as I saw her held her chest out of shock. "You startled me," she said. I raised a brow and faced her, still holding the glass of water. "Tori, I am asking you," I said with my sweet voice. She cleared her throat and looked at me. Though the place is dark, I can still see her face clearly with the help of the moon's brightness. "Sera and I just went out for a bit," she said, her hands are at her back. "And where is she?" I asked. "I don't know. She said she needs to clear her mind and leave me at the back. Is she not here yet?" She asks me. I smiled and shook my head. "Is that so. Then have a rest already, Tori. It's already late" I said, still smiling at her. "Then, I'll take my leave," she said and turned her back and walks towards the maid's room. I heaved a sigh and stared at the glass of water in my hand. Raising a brow, I stood up and put the glass of water at the sink. I leaned on it as I crossed arms. I looked at the backdoor and their room. I did it thrice that it makes me dizzy already. I hissed and tilted my head as I asked myself the question, "Clear her mind? On what particular reason?"
