Chapter Twenty-Five Sawyer’s family and friends went home a few days after the wedding. Kiana gave me the week off so I could get everything ready to bring my son home. I cleaned out the spare bedroom and added a crib, a dresser, and a ton of toys. I started talking to people about childcare and had my home visit with the social worker. I was almost ready. I took my car to a fire station and had someone help me install the car seat. I felt like an i***t asking another guy to do something for me, but they were trained, and I was clueless.
