The weekend passed quickly. Both weddings were a success, with happy brides and smiling grooms. I never thought I’d be surrounded by weddings. After the crash and burn of my own marriage, wishing a couple well and believing that they would last forever felt counter to everything I believed. I couldn’t think about those couples failing, but I’d started predicting which ones would work. The ones from the weekend? Both were doomed. When Sunday morning rolled around, I was ready to get outside and fill my head with something other than the belief that I was serving up disaster to the brides and grooms that rolled through Opposites Attract.
