" you girls can settle in your room while I make dinner " Grandma Carol said .
Grandma Carol had decided to take in the girls despite she and her husband not being financially capable .
Anna and Christy were made to share one room of course , there was only one bed and it wasn't big enough for both of them to sleep in so Christy told Anna that she could have the bed .
After washing up and eating dinner , Anna went to sleep while Christy helped with the dishes .
" Grandma"
Grandma Carol who was busy reading the newspaper raised up her head to see Christy infront of her " what is it ?"
" how long will it take to register Anna into a new school ?"
"About a week "
" okay " Christy replied and started walking up to the bedroom when grandma said " what about you ?"
" I won't go . Anna is more important right now "and with that said Christy went into the bedroom

" Anna , Christy .wake up breakfast is ready " Grandma called out the following morning
While serving their meals on the dining table.
Few minutes later , Anna came out rubbing her eyes " Morning , Grandpa , morning Grandma" she greeted
" where's your sister ?" Grandpa Hector asked
" I don't know , I woke up and she wasn't in the room"
" what ?!" Both Grandpa and Grandma exclaimed
Meanwhile out on the streets , 14 years old Christy was pasting flyers for help needed and handing out flyers to people but the people she handed them too seemed to have no interest and threw the flyers on the floor.
After four hours of wasted effort , Christy was thirsty and walked into a nearby convenience store .
" welcome " the store manager greeted
" Good afternoon" she said as she picked up a cold bottle of water " ring it up please "
" oh, what's this ?" The store manager asked looking at her flyers
" well..actually I'm looking for a job "
" you are ?"
" yes, anything will do . "
"Well, i happen to be in need of a part timer "
Christy smile brightened " seriously?"
"yes, the pay won't be much but -"
" it doesn't matter, thank you so much , I really mean it. Thank you "
Christy ran out of the store and hurried home , finally everything will be perfect for Anna .
" Grandma! Grandpa !"Christy called out looking for them immediately she got home
" where have you been since morning?" Grandma shouted angrily as she pulled Christy and beat her back
" ouch , that hurts "
"Do you know how much I was worried ?"
" I'm sorry , but Grandma I've got good news "
" what's that ?"
" I got a part-time job . do you know what this means ? Anna can start going to school soon"Christy said happily
"Christy -"
" hold on , let me tell Anna " and Christy ran into their room
"What should we do Hector ?" Carol asked
"What can we do ? Its actually a good thing she got a job, we both know that we can't feed both of them ourselves "
" yes, but she's making a big decision at just 14"
To Christy , its all worth it as long as Anna is happy "

"Welcome " 26years old Christy greeted
" Good morning, "a customer replied " ring this up please "
" yes . "after the payment Christy said " please make sure to come again"
" will do " the customer replied and left
"Wow, Christy you seem to be raising up our stocks" store manager Dave said
" as usual , I'm your lucky charm , Dave ".
Her phone vibrated and she knew immediately that it was a message from Anna
Anna:christy , help me out , just this once . this will be the last time . pleaseeeeee.
"Aish , when will Anna just getting herself into trouble "
Christy mumbled to herself . just then the bell on the door jingled
"Welcome" Christy greeted putting her phone aside
The customer looked around and asked " do you have vernolin?"
Christy stared at him " what did you say ?"
" ah, its a type of medicine"
" hold on , let me ask Dave "
Christy was about to move when she recalled Dave leaving the store after teasing him "That's right , he went out . well.."
Christy said to the customer" I don't think so but please make sure to come again "
"alright " the customer said and left
At times like this , Christy regretted not going to school and finishing her education.
it wasn't the first time a situation was happening too.
She wanted to shake up the feeling she was having and tried to remember what she was doing before .
When she remembered Anna's message she opened the fridge and reached for a cold beer .
Meanwhile as Adrian stepped out of the store and entered the red car parked in front of it, his sister asked" could you get the drugs for mother?"
" no , they seemed to not have it , let's stop at another store"
"Yes"
" but Bridget "
" yes ?"
" the girl that works here , do you know her ?"
" no , why ?"
"No reason at all, let's go "
Few hours later , the red car entered a big penthouse and parked at its usually spot .
Two men ran towards the car and opened the door .
"Welcome home , young master Adrian " they greeted
" how's mother's health ?"
" she's recovering slowly "
" alright , thanks for your hardwork"
" not a problem sir "
" Adrian,i know you love to chat with the help but right now mother needs that medicine " Bridget said
" alright ,alright " Adrian laughed
"lead the way, Miguel "
Adrian West Marsall is the only son to the west family .
He's been abroad for over 10 years and came back urgently due to his mothers health .
One of the major reasons adrian didn't come home was because his mother was highly insistent in his taking over the company after their father died but Adrian didn't want to .
He still wanted to do so much more so he's been avoiding coming close to home but now that an excuse seemed to have come he could only wait to see how his mother would use this to her benefit.
" Madame , young master adrian has arrived " a maid reported to celine, Adrian's mother in the masters bedroom
Celine , who was supposed to be resting immediately opened her eyes and stood up " my son is here" .
She smiled brightly and hurriedly ran out of the master's bedroom .
When she got to the center of the house and Adrian was in sight , she ran towards him to hug him
" Mom, don't run " Adrian said laughing and ran towards her .
The two hugged for what seemed like forever
" Mom, you shouldn't be running in this state "
" How have you been ?are you staying for good ?"
Bridget cleared her throat" I exist too , you know "
"Yes ,but its not like I haven't seen you in ten years " Celine replied and adrian tried too hide his laughter
" you are enjoying this ,aren't you ?" Bridget said playfully to Adrian
" well...probably" he turned to face his mom" here,take your drug now "
Celine took the drugs from him " come, let's go in , Freya" she called a maid
" yes,ma'am"
" get me a glass of water ,please"
" yes"Freya bowed and left
" so, how long are you staying this time ?"
" mother, not this again "
"Adrian, right now I'm not in the perfect Shape to continue the company , don't you think this is the right time to step up as CEO? You said you needed time before ,isn't 10years enough time ?"
The truth was that Adrian still needed his freedom.
if he became the CEO already ,he wouldn't be free to do whatever he wanted as it may affect the company's reputation.
" fine , I'll do it "
" really ?" Celine asked
shockingly , she hasn't expected him to finally give in
" yes, but -"
"But?"
" in 5 months "
" sure , sure " Celine said happily.
Her son was finally going to fulfill her husband's will. 5 months will go by fast ,after all she'd waited 10 years
" and under one condition"
" anything"
" no more blind dates"
"Adrian!" Celine shouted .
They both heard a glass shatter and both looked towards the direction of the sound and saw that it was Freya, the glass of water she'd been carrying had fallen to the floor
" I'm sorry " Freya apologized
Celine faced adrian " you are 29, its about time you get married "
" and I will get married , mother. To the woman I want not to the woman you choose . so are you turning down my condition ?"
" no , I agree to it "
Adrian smiled " thank you now if you excuse me , I'm going for a drive "
When Adrian left , Bridget came in and sat beside Celine
" Adrian always has a way of getting what he wants , don't you agree ?"
" do you know something I don't ?"
Bridget smiled as her mind went back to the question Adrian asked her in the car " probably"
