Your Eyes, Sir

We were supposed to have more time. I was supposed to have time to explain her to the situation they might put her in. Why would they be here so early? They had given me a time, and I expected them to follow that time. How could they not? I gave them direct orders that they were to follow. I would be having words with them after this. And yet they were here almost an hour prior to when they were supposed to arrive. That is not a small grievance for me to have.               “Excuse me,” Lucy said, walking away from the two of us. My eyes couldn’t help but follow her. Her pants were a little looser than they should be. If I decide to mate with her, I will fix that small problem. I like to always have a good view.               “Your eyes, sir,” the doctor said when she was outside of listening distance.               “What about my eyes?” I asked, never once turning my attention from where I saw her leave.               “They were staring,” the doctor said, walking in front of me.               “So, everything there is mine,” I said, trying to look around the doctor to see Lucy.               The doctor again steps directly into my line of sight. “Not yet. I do not think you understand, sir. She is not one of us. You cannot make a claim to her until she is actually yours.”               I felt my wolf fight back at his words, and I had to push it back inside me. There were several words that the doctor needed to hear, and I was going to be able to tell him all of them when I heard the footsteps of Lucy coming back to us, and she was not alone.               Standing just beside her was my beta. What was he doing there? There was no reason for him to be there. None. Then what was he doing there? I wanted to ask and even thought about mind linking with him, but I would have to explain too many things. The best thing I could do at the moment was let it play out.               “Thank you for inviting me into your home,” my beta said, flashing a very toothy grin to Lucy.               Lucy smiled softly. “Of course,” she said, offering him a smile she had never offered me.               “I always thought this was a quaint home,” he said, taking a step closer to her. What was he doing? What was he doing?               “It is. I only hope that I can do it justice,” Lucy said, almost spinning around in a circle. For a second, I think about what she would like actually spinning in a circle. A dress blowing around her. Her hair spinning around her as well. Her hair a complete mess. Not only from spinning, but from the amazing moments we had just been spending together.               My eyes roved over her body as she and my beta continued in a conversation I was getting less and less interested in by the second. I just wanted her in my bed. I was quickly getting annoyed she was not going to be there. She would be hosting an afternoon it was clear neither of us wanted to deal with.               I was in my head when all of a sudden I felt it. A pain searing in my stomach. My wolf went mad quickly. I looked over to see what Lucy was doing. I knew she was the one causing me this pain. She was in the middle of a conversation with my beta. She had a smile on her face. A smile that I have never seen before on her face. My beta had his hand on her arm. She seemed to have no problem with this.               I started to storm up to the two of them. The doctor grabbed my arm. “Don’t do anything to scare her away,” the doctor whispered.               I did not care what he had to say. He was wrong this time. She was mine. Not my beta’s. She was mine. And I would have her. I would make her understand. She is mine. She is mine.
