Somewhere Else to Be

590 Words
Oliva looked at Lucy for a moment, her mouth gapping open. A few others had just as shocked faces. Oliva looked at me for help, but I was not going to give her any. She looked away from me and smiled. “Yes. I do have other places to be.” She looked behind Lucy and again looked at me to help her, and I still had no intention of doing that.               “Well, I’ll walk you out then,” Lucy said a smile on her face.               “You hardly need to do that. Your house is so small I think I can find my way out on my own.” Oliva looked around the room and made sure to glance over my way once more.               Lucy placed her hand on her chest. “I know my house is definitely more quant than some, but it would be rude if I let a guest leave my house without me walking them out of my house would be just extremely rude.”               “Fine,” Oliva said, pushing past Lucy, and Lucy nearly fell over. The doctor, my beta, and I all make a move toward her, but she catches herself and follows Oliva to the door.               “She has fire in her,” Edith stated. She looked to Eunice almost like she would have her own conversation with Eunice.               Eunice glanced toward where Lucy had left from. “She’s still not a werewolf, and she never will be,” Eunice added.               “But that fire could help us,” Edith finished by saying.               Francesca looked at the two older women and felt like she needed to say something. “Not to mention, if she can control Oliva like that, she might have a chance at controlling some of the others.”               “It will still take a lot of work to get to be anywhere close to one of us, but this has shown us a lot,” Edith said, glancing toward the committee. She was seeing if they had the same feelings that she did.               Lucy came back sucking in some air. She quickly placed a smile on her face. “I am sorry about all of that,” she said, making sure that her smile was correctly on her face. “You will have to excuse that interruption. I hope we can get everything back on track.” She flattened her shirt slightly as she said this.               “Of course,” Edith stated.               Lucy grabbed three chairs. “Please take a seat,” she said, looking at my beta and the doctor. The doctor sat down; my beta looked at Lucy. Lucy looked at my beta. My beta looked at Lucy. Lucy looked at my beta. “Please sit,” Lucy said, giving my beta a smile.               “It would be rude if I sit before a beautiful lady,” my beta said.               “And you are my guest; it would be completely rude of me to sit before you,” Lucy said, giving him a slight smile.               “Enough, both of you,” I screamed, standing up from my seat. “Sit, now.” Lucy obeyed immediately. She sat and folded her hands on her lap and didn’t look up at me. My wolf and I both appreciated that one. She could be fun to play with, which my mind started thinking about. How I could play with her? What orders would she follow? These questions played in my mind, and I couldn’t wait to find out.
