chapter 4: chosen one

"Where is my daughter?" Chole shouted and his voice echoed in the empty dark hall where only a single throne stood still which was seen due to few beams of light passing through the windows at the top.

"Daughter?" A voice came echoing out of nowhere.

"Krypton, stop this pretending and release my daughter in this instant". Chole shouted angrily yet he was tired of the continuous journey without any rest. he was able to make it to shinex within one and a half-day.

"chole, pleased to meet you. you have grown so big...and now you have a daughter?" the voice flew and echoed yet there isn't any sign of krepton. chole kept looking everywhere for his presence but no one stood or flew.

"I hope you are not surprised". chole breathed heavily due to tiredness. "show yourself, krypton".

then suddenly chole felt footsteps coming closer to him. he immediately turned around to see...krypton!

"surprise, see...you surprised me first and now I surprised you". krepton said. now he is standing face to face in front of chole. he looked the same as he looked before. tall, medium in size, with hollow cheekbones. he held a weird looking wooden staff that chole saw him holding the last time they met. his voice was same...loud and cranky.

"Okay then. I have your daughter". krepton gushed.

"let her go. instead, take me as one of your prisoners". chole pleaded. he did not go for a fight because he knew it would result to worse than ever. his skills were no match with his dark magic.

"fine". he laughed unearthly. he pointed his staff towards him and there came a lighting ray it shocked chole. he shivered tremendously and collapsed to the ground. he has taken away all his strength!

"jevric", krypton shouted and called his sidekick.

"yes, your evilness". jevric shivered due to nervousness.

"imprison him at ones". he ordered. soon after that Jevric dragged chole out of the hall into the prison.

'if he has a daughter...a girl and she was coming here...which means she could be the Chosen one'. he was scared now. he knew she will come to stop him. he was afraid of losing his power, his rule...everything. the time came to end his rule...he has to stop her. otherwise, he will have to stop himself.

"I am not sure". Sophia rubbed her chin and furrowed her brows. "did you master martial arts like your father? he was pretty good as far I can remember".

"Actually...no". kate continues shortly. "my father doesn't want to keep the family name anymore. he believes if we follow then we may end up the same way as my grandparents ended up. so, he didn't teach me".

"people who escaped from shinex believes that the chosen one would be most likely be a girl! she wouldn't have any skill and would be determined to face the danger". Sophia started to gush. "and it matches with you. till now no one was determined enough to go against him except you".

kate's mouth hung open and so did Ella's. they both sat motionlessly. the only thing that moved was the blinking of eyes.

"you can close your mouth now, both of you". Sophia mocked. she may be older than them but she is very friendly but most of all...she has a sense of humour.

"Aunty, can I go with her? I would like those Actions". Ella punched into the air.

"maybe, it's time you find something else too". Sophia winked at Ella.

"my parents?" Ella was serious now. "but they were long gone then".

"you gave up but kate didn't". Sophia reminded her.

Ella thought for a while and realised she was right. it's time she learnt herself, where she comes from? who are or were her parents?

kate patted on Ella's shoulder "I will be happy to accompany you". kate said.

Sophia nodded her head showing agreement. after the breakfast was over they wander a bit in the forest. and after lunch when the sun was on its way to towards the west they decided to begin their journey. before they left Sophia handed them a letter and asked them to hand it to the blacksmith who lives in the marketplace of melody. 

"he will take good care of you both if you hand this letter to him". Sophia bid them goodbye and they left through the cottage door. this time kate was being accompanied by Ella. during the evening they chased the sun towards the west.
