The next morning, we woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside. The party had gone on well into the early hours of the morning, and we had both slept in later than planned. As we lay in bed, the events of the previous day played through my mind. I felt a sense of peace I hadn't known in a long time. Sharane reached over and took my hand, squeezing it gently. "Ready to face whatever comes next?" she asked. "As ready as I'll ever be," I replied. We got up and got dressed, slowly making our way out into the world.
The sun was bright in the sky, the air fresh and clean. It felt like a new day, a new beginning. We said our goodbyes to the royal pack, to sharane's friends and family. There were hugs and well-wishes all around. It was hard for her to leave, to say goodbye to the life she knew for so long. But I knew this was the right thing to do. We were moving on to something new, something better. Sharane and I left town that afternoon, heading for my pack's territory.
The drive was long. It took weeks, but the scenery was beautiful. The mountains rose up on either side of us, their peaks still dusted with snow. We passed through small towns and rolling hills, the landscape changing with every mile. Finally, we arrived at the border of my pack's territory. It was a place of wild beauty, untouched by human hands. I felt a sense of pride as we drove through the woods, the trees towering above us.
This was her new home, my home. A fresh start. Sharane looked around, taking it all in. "It's perfect," she said, smiling. "Just like you said."
