The Nuke
In approximately 1973, I participated in the Vietnam War, where I underwent extensive training meticulously designed to equip me for the most challenging and demanding circumstances. Fortunately, I emerged from this experience without any physical harm. My training officer, Officer Harlem, employed particularly rigorous methods, yet I was able to endure the various challenges posed by the training program. Now, in the year 3031, one may wonder about my age. Despite the considerable passage of time, advancements in age-reducing technology have enabled me to preserve my vitality and overall well-being.
The wind carried a parched quality, and the atmosphere felt refreshingly invigorating. John detected a profound, resonant rumble. When he directed his attention toward the window, he noticed an aircraft resembling a bomber approaching with an ominous presence. In a state of urgency, he quickly made his way to a nearby bunker. Upon reaching the entrance, he was greeted by a loud "klank" as the bunker door was sealed securely behind him, followed by the foreboding sound of a bomb being released. The bomb was dropped. The wind broke from being dry to gone. Nothing was there. John got scared and tried to wait. He looked for rations and found a supply. He saved them for later he found a machine that let him be in a state of cryostasis. He got in the machine and froze... 200 hundred years later.
