I fell asleep on the way back to the pack. I didn’t wake up until we pulled into the gates. We were quickly waved through and drove up to the pack house. James looked over at me. He looked concerned. “I linked mom and let her know we were home.” I smiled and said, “Thank you.” James got out of the car and walked around to my side to open the door. He reached for my hand to help me out, and then pulled me into an embrace. His scent comforted me and settled my churning stomach. I had virtually no experience in these matters and didn’t know how to approach the subject with Luna. I buried my face into his chest before pulling away and heading inside. Best to just rip the band aid off, as they say. I found Luna in the kitchen putting the tea kettle on. She smiled at me as I entered the kitchen
