NINA'S POV
An awkward silence passed between Summer and I as we ate dinner. I tried bringing up the mating bond again but she wasn't having it.
I'd been checking my phone several times but I still hadn't heard from my dad. I was starting to get anxious. It wasn’t like him to go this long without checking in.
