I was shaking violently as my Alpha glared at me with his intense eyes.

“ You are nothing, Amelia. Don't you dare to think I will accept you my mate." he declared without any mercy breaking my heart and shattering my soul.

I turned around to go but he grabbed my hand and pulled me so close to his chest.

“ I'm not done yet. Why in the world did you kiss him?” he asked as he growled in rage.

I trembled with fear and opened my mouth to say something. But he claimed my mouth and bite my lips harshly.

I cried in pain and knew this was the way he pleased to punish me.

-----------

I broke a rule of Blue moon pack. I have regretted it. He hated me and I was at his mercy. I didn't know how I got rid of this. The biggest mistake I made in my life was to kiss my alpha. And I knew that day was my last day on this earth.

------

Chapter 1
Amelia The biggest mistake I made in my life was to kiss my alpha. And I knew that today was my last day on this earth. I committed a big unforgiven crime. I was a maid in the Blue Moon pack. For so long I kept my head down, did my work and tried to blend into the background. That's what we lower-ranked wolves were supposed to do- serve without being noticed, stay within our limits, never consider yourself equal to those superior and always bow to those who called themselves superior. But today, I’d shattered that unspoken rule in the worst possible way. Knowing my place that I was not at that place to do it, but I did it by mistake, and I couldn’t help! it just happened. I knew my place very well. I wasn't there to kiss my Alpha, but I did and I couldn't stop it. It just happened! One kiss... Yes, it was just one kiss. No... it wasn't just one kiss. It was a cruel kiss, It was a cruel twist of fate that took everything from me. I made a mistake, and I couldn't change it. Maybe this was my destiny, something I couldn't run away from. Something I couldn't deny. —------ I glanced around, taking in the grand party. The grand hall was alive with the vibrant energy of the celebration. The walls echoed with the laughter and chatter of the pack members. People were mingling with each other. Everyone had gathered to honor the Alpha's recent victory. It was a sight to behold, the grandeur of the event reflected the power and prestige of the pack. All the elite of the pack were present to share the joy of victory. The women were dressed in fine and elegant dresses and the men were dressed in expensive suits. Today there was a big party to celebrate our alpha’s victory. The alpha and the warriors of our pack had a great victory against our enemies, Rouge. We had one of the strongest and smartest warrior wolves and everyone hesitate to compete with us. Most packs tried to get on our good sides and didn’t want to annoy us. Ever since Xavier Elliott became our new Alpha, our pack has become stronger than before. And I was sure some alphas also would be present at the party today. The party was held in the huge hall. The silvery light of the moon streamed in through the magnificent windows of the hall, casting an ethereal glow on the faces of the people gathered inside. I stood in the corner of the hall, a silent spectator dressed in the uniform of my status. As a maid, my presence was almost invisible to these upper class people, I was nothing in the glow of their revelry. But like all these people, I was also very happy and excited. Today was the celebration of our victory. A stage was set for the leader of our pack, which included the Alpha and his family, Betas and other high ranked werewolves. First our Beta said something in honor of our Alpha and then gave a nice speech to our warriors, His eyes were shining with fierce pride. His voice was strong and his words clearly showed how proud and confident he was of our Alpha. Everyone applauded his speech. Around him, the warriors of the pack were sharing war stories, talking about our Alpha's cunning strategy that turned the tide against the rogues. Then a few others gave speeches too. But our Alpha was nowhere to be seen. There was an empty seat in the middle where the Alpha would have sat. The elders were already sitting next to that empty seat and applauding the speech. I wondered where he was? In the midst of this sea of celebration, one question haunted my thoughts, where was our Alpha? His absence was a silent gap in the melody of the night. Everyone was here in a jubilant atmosphere, celebrating. The one who should have been at the center of it all, the heart of the pack’s joy, was nowhere to be seen. Where was he? My gaze wandered over the crowd, searching for that familiar strength that was a born leader. The Alpha was not just our king, he was the soul of our pack and the symbol of our hope. Our Alpha and his warriors had emerged victorious against the rogues who had been terrorizing us for months. It was truly a reason to celebrate. His victory was not just a victory over our enemies but the promise of a secure future, a protected legacy. He had fulfilled all the promises he had made to the pack of days gone by. He came back victorious. As the maid, I moved quietly among the revelers, my eyes scanning the crowd for him – our Alpha. My thoughts were filled with the absence of our leader. "Amelia!" a voice whispered next to me. It was Jane, my fellow maid. Her eyes sparkled with a mix of excitement and curiosity. "Have you seen him? The Alpha?" I shook my head, my gaze still wandering. "Not yet. But he must be here somewhere, celebrating his victory." I couldn't see him though. I looked across the room at my friend Lily and another maid. She gave me a small nod and I gave her a small smile. "Okay, I'll do my job. The mushroom tartlets aren't going to split themselves." Jane laughed. I laughed at her joke. "Yes." I got back to my work and began serving drinks. As I approached a group of pack elders, I heard some of their conversation. "...a decisive victory, I hear." "Yes, but the rogues won't take this lying down." "Now stop it, they're going to get punished for what they did." I moved quickly, as I didn't want anyone to see me and think I was eavesdropping. It wasn't my business to involve myself in pack politics, but I couldn't stop the anxiety that was eating at me. If the rogues retaliated, would we be safe? “Where the hell were you?” A shrill voice cut through my thoughts. I turned to see My head Lana, staring at me. She was a very strict lady. She was in her mid forty, had honey colored hair and Hazel eyes. Her thin brows were narrowed as she stared at me. “Umm, around…” I said lamely, showing her an empty tray that I was holding. Her thin eyebrows drew together in disapproval. “Lady Sophia needs you to help her to change her dress.” She ordered. “Oh, Okay, I'm going!” I said hurriedly. I rushed towards Ms. Sophia’s room. I couldn't help but wonder why she needed to change. She had just gotten ready for the party earlier. What could have happened in such a short time? My question was answered as soon as I entered her room. The room looked like a hurricane had torn through it, with dresses and accessories strewn everywhere. In the center of the chaos stood Ms. Sophia herself, her face flushed with anger as she hurled items across the room. “What does she think of herself, bitch..” she screamed, seemingly unaware of my presence. She seemed in bad condition. The red wine stained her pink dress and her blonde hair looked messy, perhaps she angrily ruined her hair. It seemed that she had a fight with Mary again. Ms. Sophia and her cousin Mary were constantly at each other's throats, and it seemed tonight’s party had been no exception. “Lady Soph-” I started to announce myself, but she cut me off. “You!” She snapped, whirling to face me. “Where is my orange dress that I gave you to keep in the wardrobe in the morning?” She said angrily. I blinked in confusion. “That dress?” I walked to the wardrobe and easily found the dress in question, pulling it out to show her. “It’s here, Lady Sophia.” It was right here, how did she not find it? She looked from me to the wardrobe in surprise, as if she couldn't believe it had been there all along. Without a word of thanks, she snatched the dress from my hand and stalked into the bathroom. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. These rich pack members also wanted servants for small work which they could do themselves. I started putting the scattered things in the right place and cleaning the room. She emerged from the bathroom, freshly showered and changed into a new dress. “Clean it well,” she ordered imperiously and threw the stained dress on me and I caught it before it fell to the floor. “Yes, Lady” I said, lowering my head. “Come help me set my hair!” she ordered arrogantly, already seated at her vanity. “Yes, Lady,” I quickly washed my hands and rushed towards her. As I dried and styled her curly blond locks into an elegant side-swept look, I caught her admiring herself in the mirror. “It's perfect!” she declared. Without thinking, I met her eyes in the reflection. Her expression immediately darkened and she frowned at me. I immediately lowered my eyes. “Sorry…” I muttered, inwardly cursing myself. I was a maid and a maid here was not supposed to see her master's eyes directly. It was one of the unspoken rules. A maid like me in the Blue Moon pack should keep her head down, do her work and try to blend into the background. That's what we lower-ranked wolves were supposed to do- serve without being noticed, stay within our limits, never consider yourself equal to those superior and always bow to those who called themselves superior. Once she was satisfied with her appearance, she swept out of the room without another word to me.
