As I spoke, her reaction was immediate and vivid, her wide, astonished eyes mirrored her disbelief, while her hand darted to cover her mouth in bursts of shock, as if she was trying to contain her emotions. Every word seemed to deepen her amazement, leaving her both captivated and speechless.
“Our Alpha?” she interrupted, incredulous. “The same man who is harsh and ruthless? Who doesn't tolerate even a single mistake?”
I looked at her thoughtfully. It was true. Everyone knew he was cold, demanding, unforgiving. Yet with me, he hadn't become angry over my mishap. Instead, he had been... different. Gentler. Almost caring.
