I approached her, my steps hesitant. “Julia?”
Julia’s head snapped up, eyes widening with recognition. “Amelia? What are you doing here?” She was dressed in a blood-stained medical apron.
“I’m with Alpha Xavier,” I explained. “And you?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady despite the chaos around us.
Her hands never stopped their work even as she looked up at me. “I came on Alpha Xavier's orders. He ordered us to assist the injured,” she said.
