CHAPTER THREE

Yu weixing wandered for a long time before coming to a stop in front of the hospital,his brows furrowed as he stared at the hospital building

He walked in, heading towards the receptionist,the receptionist was a young nurse that had just graduated and was on an internship, seeing such a handsome boy stop in front of her,her teenage heart couldn't help but flutter

"Which room is Mrs Han Meiling "Yu weixing asked bringing her back from her daze

"...hold on" she responded after a while going through the patient files

"Ward 201..."

Yu weixing nodded before heading towards the elevator,the receptionist held her chest,her gaze fixed on Yu weixing's back

"Mengmeng?"

An older lady dressed in a nurse dress called out as she looked in the direction the receptionist stared at intently

"Sister Li,I think I just saw a handsome guy..."she said in a daze, earning a look of reproach from the older lady

Yu weixing stopped in front of the ward,he could already hear some vague voices in the room,his gaze darkened as he pushed the door open, seemingly ruining the good atmosphere between two in the ward

For a moment there was silence before it was broken by a sneer

"Yu weixing what right do you have to be here?"the voice rang out,the disdain in it unhidden

The one who had spoken was Yu Quingya,Yu weixing's cousin,Yu weixing ignored the presence of Yu quingya, his gaze fixed on the pale elderly woman on the bed

Her gaze was fixed on him,a slight frown on her face

Yu weixing was accustomed to the kind of look she was giving him ,his fist clenched as he stared at the old lady

If it had been any other person that gave him such a look,it wouldn't have hurt him but it was her, the only one who had stood by his side,the only one who had made him feel like family....

"Grandma..." He called out,his voice hoarse, something he hadn't been expecting,his tune contained a bit of grievance but Han Meiling seemed oblivious as she looked at him with indifference

"Yu weixing"Yu quingya called out,his tune filled with contempt"what right do filth like you have to be here?"he added,his tune mocking

Yu weixing remained indifferent,his gaze on Han Meiling who hadn't said a word since he came

"You ..."

"Quingya go out " Han Meiling interrupted,her tune commanding

Yu quingya paused,he glared at Yu weixing before he stood up and left, closing the door behind him

"Grandma..." Yu weixing called out once more,his eyes reddened,his voice soft

"Weixing,have a sit " Han Meiling said,her tune indifferent as she motioned for the chair Yu quingya had been sitting on

Yu weixing felt his heart was stuffy but he still sat, lowering his head to the ground

"It's been ten years weixing" Han Meiling stated ,her words made Yu weixing stiffen,his head lowered even more,his bangs fell over his eyes,making his face unreadable

Han Meiling sighed "Li Xuan ... I've fulfilled my promise to her "

Yu weixing raised his head, trying to search for something in Jan Meiling's eyes,what he was searching for? he didn't know,but he found nothing

She didn't have any hint of this being a joke to her,she didn't seem like she was scolding him,instead,she was indifferent to him as though s he wasn't the one that he had been close with for those ten years

Yu weixing opened his mouth to talk but no words came out,the rims of his eyes were red as he stared at Han Meiling,no matter how he wanted to act like he didn't care,he couldn't,after all,he was just seventeen...

This was the woman who had been his shield for years,she was the only one who made this life of his worth living for but now she admitted that all her fondness,her closeness,her love was nothing but a promise

Yu weixing was unwilling to accept it but there was nothing he could do,after all, Han Meiling had made her stance clear enough the previous night

He could still remember the look of blame and disdain she had on her face when he had 'pushed' Yu quingli down the stairs

He had been searching for some comfort in her eyes when the incident happened,he had wanted her to tell everyone he didn't do it,to believe in him...

Instead,she had only given him a cold glance and didn't look his way

"The Yu family have done all it can to help you"she paused,her gaze stern "we could have continued but after what you did to quingli ..." Her eyes turned cold "you don't deserve to be part of our Yu family"

Yu weixing stared at her in a daze,he couldn't help think of how her attitude towards him had managed to change so quickly

He wasn't part of the Yu family...one who didn't know would think he was a stranger but he indeed had the Yu blood flowing in his vein,he wasn't even an illegitimate child...

Yu weixing was at a loss,a tear slipped down his cheeks,he reached out to wipe it clean,he hated himself for crying,hated himself for being alive ...

He didn't beg her,he didn't bother to ask any questions,maybe it was because deep down he knew he wasn't considered as part of the Yu's right from the beginning

Yu weixing stood up,Han Meiling remained quiet

She had said all she wanted

"Old madame Yu, if there is nothing else, I'll take my leave "Yu weixing said,he didn't look at her,neither did he wait for a reply,he walked out directly

He ran into Yu quingya at the door,Yu quingya glared at him with contempt before he humphed and went directly into Han Meiling's ward

Yu weixing stared at the door for a while a bit at a loss before he walked away

In the span of a few hours,he had suddenly become homeless,he wasn't allowed to go to the Yu residence, since it was a place only members of the Yu family could enter

Han Meiling had abandoned him,he had no one else,his father would probably be the happiest and wouldn't hesitate the worsen his situation...

"Heh.."

He let out a sound,filled with self mock...the world really knew how to worsen his already shitty life

Yu weixing felt a tap on his shoulder, bringing him out of his thoughts,he turned

"Brother xing it's really you,I almost thought I recognized the wrong person" Xie feichi said,a silly grin on his face

Yu weixing remained silent, making Xie feichi in front of him worry,after all, they had bumped into each other more than two weeks after graduation in the hospital,he couldn't help but think that something was wrong with Yu weixing

He reached out his hand to Yu weixing,Yu weixing didn't avoid it

"Ah...brother xing,you seem to have a fever" Xie feichi said, retracting his hand

It was only then Yu weixing remembered that he had a fever and had forgotten to take the medicine Feng chengxi prepared for him

"It's nothing" he said but his voice was stuffy, Xie feichi didn't think it was nothing and directly dragged the person to get medication

Thankfully,they were already at the hospital...

Yu weixing let Xie feichi drag him,he couldn't tell what exactly was happening up till Xie feichi took him into the backseat of the car

Yu weixing finally withdrew from his daze

"Where are we going?" He asked

Xie feichi tsk-ed, clearly, Yu weixing hadn't been listening to a single thing he said,he probably didn't know when he had taken the medicine

"Brother xing, what's wrong with you"Xie feichi asked,he could clearly feel that something was on Yu weixing's mind but unsurprisingly,Yu weixing didn't answer him

Xie feichi sighed "the doctor said you needed rest,so I'm taking you home"

Yu weixing looked at Xie feichi for a while before looking out the window

"don't go there, I'm not welcomed there"

I might not be able to publish any more chapters for the next few months because of my upcoming exams so I'll have to put my darling Yu weixing on hold up till like august

I really would like to continue but I can't slack off in my revisions since these exams determine whether I'll get to go to uni next year
