Chapter 23 THAT EVENING JACK found himself right back to where he had been earlier in the day with exactly the same hopes and ambitions. He was determined this time to actually get to the proposal. This time he was even more certain it was the right thing to do. When Katrina had been in a bind, what was the first thing she did? She had thought of him. She’d known that he would be there for her.
