Dinner At the Jade

Dinner At the Jade Rae completely understood that she would have to be called into work. Russ had made it quite clear that he would double her salary, but that didn't help because she was worried about Duke and Roma. The restaurant wasn't busy that night, and that eased her nerves a bit but didn't make it any better. After talking with the staff, she informed everyone on what had happened to Duke and that he was being evaluated at the hospital. So after having a pep talk with the staff, everyone had decided that they would do something to help them both out, aside from looking for the assholes that put him in the hospital. Even though everyone was in low spirits, Rae tried to convince them, that every night they needed to strive for the best, for Russ's sake. As everyone started prepping for the evening dinning, there was a tapping at the kitchen doors, and when Rae looked up she saw that it was Avery, waving through the little circular window. Wiping her hands she walked to the door. “What are you doing here?” Avery smiled, “I should be asking you the same question. I thought you were supposed to be on vacation?” Rae shook her head and told her it was a long story. Avery pointed over to the table in the corner by the window. “The guys were hungry after Bruno dropped Xander off to get his car, and I suggested that we come here for a late night dinner.” She looked back at Rae like she hadn't heard a thing Rae had already told her, “Why did you have to come back to work?” Rae just shrugged it off that it was nothing. “Who else is with you guys?” Rae had taken notice of the extra male body sitting at the table. Avery smiled, “That's Bruno. He and Xander are friends and I asked for him to join us. When you get a chance, you should stop by and say hello.” Rae smiled but hurried back into the kitchen, “Maybe.” But she stopped before heading back to her station, “So you and Xander worked things out?” Avery smiled and shrugged her shoulders, which was always a sign that she got what she wanted. Rae felt rejected and hurt from all of the promises Xander had made, he broke every one of them and made his “difficult” decision, and it didn't surprise Rae at all that he would give Avery a second chance at breaking his heart. It hadn't occurred to Rae to look for the mystery man. She glanced around the room and couldn't find him sitting at one of the tables. Before hurrying back into the kitchen, she asked the wait staff if they remembered seeing him. She didn't even need to finish her sentence, the women of the wait staff already knew exactly who she was talking about. They pointed over to the bar. And there he was buried in the corner, drinking a glass of whiskey. Rae contemplated on whether she should say something to him or not, but it didn't matter really when she caught him looking at her reflection in the mirror. She smiled and tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. At the table, you could hear a pin drop to the floor. Everyone was so caught up in eating, that it left no room for small talk. “This is really good,” Bruno said with a look of shock and delight in his eyes. “Rae knows how to cook. She's ah... Avery's roommate”, Xander was quick to inform. Bruno clearly thought of something clever to say and smiled, “Damn, if I had someone that I lived with and cooked like this, I would never leave the house.” There was a soft cough, interrupting dinner, as another guest arrived at the table. “How is everyone's food tonight?” Rae stood at the edge of the table as all eyes shot to her. Xander still had a mouthful of food, Bruno was in the midst of swallowing, and Avery was pushing things around on her plate with her fork. “Bruno was just saying that if you lived with him, he would never leave the house.” Rae glanced down and smirked at Bruno, the only person at the table that didn't look familiar to her. “I will take that as a compliment. Thank you.” Rae had directed her attention towards Bruno, as she reached her hand out to him, and introduced herself. “Clearly, these assholes aren't going to do it. I'm Rylie. But everyone calls me Rae.” Bruno's gaze turned sultry, a clear sign that he was showing some interest in her. “You should come back to the house tonight. That way we can all hang out. Although, Rae will definitely have to shower. The smell of food just lingers in her clothes, her skin, and her hair if she doesn't,” Rae rolled her eyes gave a quick sigh, knowing this is exactly how Avery acts when she is interested in someone and they truly give her no time of day. She insults and brags until all eyes tend to be back on her. “I'm down,” Bruno added, just now releasing Rae's hand from his grasp. Anger was shooting from Xander's eyes, clearly a sign that he was not happy how this situation ended up unfolding, especially with Bruno. “Then I guess I will see you back at the house.” She smiled before walking away from the table and back to the kitchen. “Your roommate is kind of hot. In a quiet kind of way.” It was obvious that Xander didn't want Bruno to think that about Rae, in any way. Back in the kitchen, the staff was starting to clean up for the night. Avery and the boys were one of the few patrons left in the place. One of the waiting staff made her way into the kitchen. “Rae... I think this was left for you,” she handed over a napkin. Rae unfolded it and was surprised to see a small message, a phone number, and a name. “The food was delicious, Call me Nixon 555-6808” “I think someone has a really hot admirer,” the same waitress exclaimed. Rae just shook her head and tucked the napkin in her pocket desperately trying to hide the fact that she was indeed blushing. “Enough already, let's clean up so we can get out.” Rae turned and locked the doors to the restaurant, as the remaining wait staff an kitchen crew walked to their cars. She took off her chef coat, and tucked it on her arm, rummaging her bag for her car keys. “You have a really nice car,” Rae looked up to find Bruno leaning against her Wildcat. “Other then complimenting my car, why didn't you go with everyone else back to the house?” She was approaching him closer, “Well, I figured I would give them a head start on alone time so I sent them home early. I figured it wouldn't be a bad thing if I waited for you. Didn't feel right having you walk to your car all by yourself. Is that okay?” Rae tucked a piece of hair behind her ear before smiling at him. “Don't mind at all.” She opened the Wildcat and he jumped right into the front seat. “You just wanted a ride in the Wildcat, admit it.” She started the engine, and watched his expression as the pretty kitty purred. “She is a classic. My Uncle had a show car just like this baby. He treated that car better then his own kids.” She joined in on his laughing. As they drove back to the house. She hadn't noticed a rumble of an engine, nor the headlights of what seemed to be a truck slowly follow her out of the driveway. Pulling into the driveway, she heard the rumble of that truck zoom passed their driveway. As they got closer to the house Xander's car was parked next to Avery's, Bruno's car was on the left, and it seemed like every light in the house was on. Rae could hear music being played faintly, that is until she opened up the door, then it escalated and became so much louder. “I guess they wanted to make sure as to not disturb anyone while they were up stairs.” Rae led Bruno out to the patio, turned the music down a bit, and grabbed him a beer from the fridge. “I'm not sure if you wanted one, but I DO want to shower. I tend to smell like a garbage disposal by the end of the night. I'll be right back, make yourself at home.” She flicked on the pool light, and Bruno smiled as he watched it illuminate the clear water. “Take a swim if you want.” She wasn't gone long, but when she returned, he apparently had decided to take a dip in the pool. Rae had poured herself a glass of wine, and carried a towel out for him. “I didn't have any swim trunks...” Bruno rested his hands on the edge of the pool and hoisted himself out, wearing nothing but his boxers, which were hugging and emphasizing everything that wasn't bare for eyes to see. She never lowered her eyes to take a peek, she smiled and kept her eyes on his. “So, your a porn star too?” Bruno patted himself dry a little before taking his seat next to Rae, “Yes. Yes I am.” Rae had no idea where to go after asking him that, she thought that he would tell her a bit more but he was holding back. She licked her bottom lip, and bit on it a little before taking a sip of wine. “I saw you on the set today,” he waited to see her reaction. She almost choked on the wine, as her eyes almost popped out of her head. “Oh, you did, huh?”, she felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment. Giving him a side glance, she gulped down the remaining wine that was left in her glass and hurried to pour herself another. “I actually thought you were Xander's girlfriend,” he added. Rae shook her head, a clear sign that she had been hearing that comment a lot lately. “No, I'm just his girlfriend's roommate,” again swigging down all of the wine in her glass. “So how long have you been acting?” she tried to keep a somewhat normal conversation, but as he smiled, she knew he didn't want to really keep the conversation PG rated. He chuckled, “Well, it's been almost ten years now. It's not like this was my plan to be a porn star, it just kind of happened.” She watched him take a swig of his beer. He must have felt her eyes on him and he suddenly asked, “Aren't you going for a swim tonight?”, flashing his sexy bedroom eyes at her. He wasn't as muscular as Xander, his olive colored skin glistened from the what water he missed patting off, his dark brown eyes oozed sexy Latino mystery, his soft thick lips were only accented by his shadowy facial stubble that was growing on his chin. She saw that the water was also caught on the front of his torso causing Rae to drool, and that his n*****s were the perfectly quarter shape, colored in shade of milk chocolate. Looking down to his belly button, he had a small hint of a happy trail that led to what brings in his hefty pay check, and it's not that her curiosity wasn't going wild trying to imagine what it looked like. His left arm was covered in tattoos, and that was really something that intrigued Rae, she loved learning about other people's tattoos. It was easier to look him up on a porn site to see what he was capable of, she didn't have to jump his bones this evening to find out, unlike Avery who would have handled the situation completely different. He wouldn't have made it over the thresh hold, she would have jumped his bones on the front lawn. “See anything you like?” he had asked, but Rae just rolled her eyes. “Was I staring?. I'm sorry.” Bruno chuckled and shook his head. “It's okay, I get it all the time. In this line of work, it's difficult to have people not look at you like a s*x object. It tends to be difficult to find women to date. They kind of expect you to be like you are in the movies twenty four seven.” Rae looked at him sympathetically and added, “I was actually staring at your tattoos. I do that all the time. Each tattoo has a story behind it,” she lowered her head thinking that she sounded like an i***t, aside from the fact that she was gawking at him. He continued the conversation, “You're right. Each one of these wonderful pieces of art have their own special story. But, we can save that for another night,” he continued to drink his beer. Rae blushed at the mention of “another night”, he is already admitting that he wants to be with her again. “So working at the restaurant, is that all you do? Xander had mentioned that you design for a tattoo parlor.” Rae put her finger up, and ran into the kitchen to grab her book. “It's better to show you, then trying to explain. I work for Ink Kink, it's a little place down town.” Bruno started looking through page after page, but stayed silent. Rae was starting to get a little uncomfortable as he made no comment, and at this point she had finished off the bottle of wine. As she sat back down next to him, he looked at her in awe and shock. “You are definitely talented, a true artist. And you cook! You are like a perfect package.” She blushed again briefly covering her smile, “Why do you do that?” He struggled to look at her with her head down, “Do what?“ She felt his hand glide under her chin and begin to lift her head up, “You look away every time that you smile. I think you have a lovely smile. You should show it off more often.” He smirked, “You know initially, with you staring, I thought you were going to ask me about that,” as he looked down at his member hidden beneath his boxers. That sent a warm wave of excitement throughout her entire body. “But, you meant my tattoos.” He turned to face her, moving his arm onto her lap. His hand landed on her inner thigh, the warmth from his hand caused her thighs to quiver and her breathing begin to quicken. She wanted to make sure that he didn't feel her thigh twitch at his mere touch. “Here you go, take a better look. But like I said, the story for each one we will save for another night.” He watched her, as her fingertips pushed and twisted the skin on his arm. Looking at the cross on the top of his arm, the tree above his elbow, the star below it, and the bottom of a skeleton's face on the back of his left hand. She was so gentle with touching his skin, when she looked back at him, he was smiling at her. “What?” she said smiling back. “You're gentle, and it kind of tickles a little.” He chuckled, as he finished his beer. “Another?” Rae was about to get up, but Bruno stopped her and insisted that he would get it himself. They had spent hours chatting and flirting in the back yard, clearly losing all track of time. Once Rae had yawned for the first time, she knew she was done for the early morning hours. She walked in, with Bruno right behind her, and started to walk him to the guest bedroom. Lingering in the doorway as he walked passed her and made his way over to the bed. “Well if you need anything, the bathroom is down the hall, and you know where the kitchen is,” she said starting to close the door behind her, but she was stopped, because the door was stopped. Bruno was pulling the door open, “I just wanted to say that I enjoyed tonight, you know talking and hanging out with you.” Rae smiled but lowered her head, hiding her redden cheeks from blushing, but she felt his hand slid beneath her chin once again. “I did to,” she added and blatantly smiled at him. With her hand still on the door knob, he put his hand over hers. “Can I ask you something?” he caught her off guard, and her smile answered his question. “Would it be too much if I said that I wanted to kiss you?” Her eyes widened in surprise, but she found herself moving her tongue over her lips and biting a small spot on her bottom lip. His eyes were full of lust and want, but he was being a gentleman and kept his control. He licked his bottom lip and started to lean in towards Rae, just a mere hair width distance away from one another, she felt his warm breath brushing against her face. They were both suddenly disrupted by a door closing from the hallway. Xander was making his way down the hall in a pair of boxers and heading to the bathroom, that is until he looked at the end of the hall and saw them standing there. “Are you guys just getting to bed now?” He detoured himself from the bathroom and started to head in their direction, as though he needed to get something from the kitchen. Bruno and Rae both smiled at one another and started to move back from their earlier closeness. “Good night Bruno,” Rae said as she finally closed the bedroom door, with Xander close to her side. She turned and started to make her way to her bedroom, feeling Xander's presence close on her back. “So, you guys didn't do anything tonight, did you?” She entered her bedroom, but turned to respond, “I don't really think that's any of your business. Good night Xander.” He leaned his arm against the doorway of her bedroom, looking around inside, especially her bed. “Rae, I'm not sorry for what happened today. I know you felt something too, just admit it. Fate. We are fated to be...” She didn't even let him finish his sentence before she cut him off, “Good night Xander,” and closed the door in his face. She took off her comfy clothes but left her tight tank top on before sprawling out on her bed thinking about how her night had turned out, with Bruno. He wasn't her typical flavor, but there was something about him that she now couldn't stop thinking about. Just as she was tangled up in the blankets that were a mess on her bed, there was a quiet knock at her door. “Xander, go to bed,” she said in a loud whisper. The knocking continued, and she stormed over to the door and opened it. Completely surprised to find that it was Bruno and not Xander on the other side. Bruno stood there again shirtless in her doorway, and he was eyeing her from head to toe, as she stood in front of him in a pair of cheek short panties, and a tight black tank top. He licked his bottom lip again before focusing on her eyes once again. “Where were we?” He leaned in pressing his soft lips to hers. She immediately wanted more of him to taste, she couldn't help herself and slid her tongue through his lips ready to play with his. She felt his arm snake around her waist as he leaned into her with much more force, causing her to take a step back, as Rae was pulling him into her room. They made their way over to her bed and flopped down into the center of it. Rae laughed as Bruno became twisted in her blankets. “That was unexpected,” she said unconvincingly. His lips found hers once again, as well as his experienced tongue. His hands in no time had managed to find the exposed skin on her body, and he was not shy about her feeling just how excited he was, with his stiffening c**k rubbing against her thigh.  She felt heat flush throughout her entire body, and as much as she didn't want it to stop, she wasn't ready for this to happen with Bruno so soon. “Wait...,” she attempted to say with a short breath. The moment she said that word, he stopped everything, and hovered above her. With a lustful gaze he waited patiently for her next words, “I didn't hurt you did I?” Her smiled eased his worry, “No. I just... didn't want to rush into something with you tonight. I know I sound like a prude, but... I'm not that kind of girl.” He lowered his head, and flopped his body next to hers on the bed still trying to catch his breath, “You don't sound like a prude at all. I shouldn't have rushed into your room, like a horny dog.” Laying on her side, she cupped her hand to his cheek, “I just need to take this a little slower,” she leaned in and kissed his lips passionately. He rested his hand on her hip, “Would it be too much to ask if I can sleep next to you instead?” After kissing his soft lips one more time, “Just as long as you promise not to poke me with that money maker during the night.” He laughed, “I can't make a definite promise. Sometimes he's got a mind of his own.”
