"b***h you are so sexy, I would f**k you if I played for the same team"
Ophelia murmured, leaning into the space between her and Sayre. Sayre smiled, lowering her eyes down to her skirt as she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
Beck sank into the booth right next to her, instantly reaching for a bottle of tequila. The booth they'd chosen was in the private section of the club where the noise was minimal, a few other people hung around mostly men who had business meetings that needed attention
"Thanks"
"Okay guys, This is Marjorie and Marjorie, this is Sayre and Beck. They used to be lovers"
Good God. There was no clearer indication to knowing Ophelia was drunk than her talking nonsense. Beck chuckled beside her, he sat so close to her that it made her so uncomfortable. Sayre didn't know why it did, but it just did. She reached for an empty cup, trying as hard as she could not to spare Luke a glance.
"Hi guys. Nice to meet you"
Marjorie said, smiling ear to ear as she leaned into Luke,a well manicured fingers wrapping wrapping itself around luke arm . The sight sickened Sayre. She badly needed a drink, she motioned for Beck to pour her a glass and downed it in one go.
How dare he? But what the hell anyway? She could feel his gaze burning into her forehead but she pretended not to notice. She would have declined the invitation if she knew he would be here. She paused, was she overreacting or overthinking him or the whole concept of having something with him? Did she like him? She didn't know. She certainly had feelings for him, new feelings that erupted from nowhere.
He lived in her head twenty four seven for free and she was allowed to pursue a fling. She certainly wasn't going to fall in love- not after what Beck had done to her, she knew better, the Doukas brothers had a nick for absconding at any chance they got. She swept some of her hair over shoulders, instantly relaxing as the alcohol eased her muscles.
"Same" The word causally slipped off her tongue as she in turn rested against Beck.
"Okay, I feel like we should get on the dance floor and get drunk toniiiiggghhttt"
"Yeah"
At this point, Alcohol was Ophelia's best friend.
"I swear I need to mentally prepare for Christmas"
Beck added and Ophelia groaned
"Yeah, I'm so getting wasted"
Ophelia had always been a part of the family long before she lost her parents in a plane crash when she was nine and was basically adopted at this point. Infact, both parents had a trust fund kept for her untill she was twenty three and always had the better present which was cheating by the way. But it was the one of the many ways to make her happy on Christmas.
Sayre hesitated, clutching her phone in her palm while others stood
"I'll join you guys in a sec, I need to take this call."
She said, bringing her phone to her ear. It was until they were gone she glanced up and realized that Luke was still seated.
She shifted her gaze to scan the room, where was his little girlfriend?
Her breath hitch in her throat as they lock eyes. He was almost splayed across the chair, glass of drink in hand and a blank expression on his face. Sayre looked away, she didn't want to be on the dance floor, and she didn't want to be here, and most of all, she didn't want to be around Luke or Beck. She certainly did not want to be around Luke. She poured herself another glass and downed it quickly.
"Are you coming?"
She found herself asking as she stood up. He shook his head, he almost looked like he was sick, was it her eyes or were his eyes redder than usual? She gently approached him but before she could get to him, Marjorie bursted into the room, yelling for Luke. She stepped back in response, walking out before she witnessed something silly.
At this point, maybe it was better to do away with the Doukas brothers. On what timeline did she ever think she could find love with Luke of all people? Love? Maybe she was drunk.
"Is Luke okay?"
She asked Ophelia, reaching for and snatching her drink out of her hand.
"Yeah, he's just high"
Ophelia shouted back. Sayre could feel the alcohol thrumming in her veins now. She started to dance to the song that blasted through the speakers- she had never been a good dancer.
"Sayre!"
Ophelia tugged at her hand, stopping her for a moment.
"What?"
"You're gonna puke if you keep jumping like that"
"I'll be fine. Leave me alone."
Beck came behind her then, wrapping a hand around her waist as he sweeps all her hair to a side and kissed her on the exposed part of her neck. The action made her jerk back in surprise.
"Beck" she singsonged, dancing against him, eyes shut and horny as she leaned back against him. She struggled to find a memory, any memory to hold on to when his mouth start to find hers. She finally pulled away, staggering onto Ophelia who was dancing with a girl tongue deep in her throat.
"Lesbian!"
Sayre screamed, pulling Ophelia back with force. "f*****g lesbian, I'm telling your mom."
"My mom's dead, you i***t"
Sayre pushed her away and turned to the sexy dark haired Indian girl Ophelia was kissing, cupped her face, said to her
"This is how you do it" and kissed her.
