The new student, love at first sight

On my first day at the new school, after leaving behind the run-down neighborhood at 123 Elm Street that I used to call home, I felt a whirlwind of emotions – excitement, nervousness, and a tinge of sadness for leaving behind my old friends. As I stepped into the unfamiliar schoolyard, the chatter of students echoed in my ears, and I couldn't help but feel like a fish out of water. I wandered through the crowded hallway, searching for my classroom. The unfamiliar faces seemed like a blur, and I clutched my backpack tightly, hoping to find a friendly face. Just when I thought I might never fit in, I spotted a guy with a warm smile leaning against a locker. His sandy-brown hair and easygoing demeanor caught my attention, and I decided to approach him. "Hey, do you know where class 1 is?" I asked nervously, trying to hide the tremor in my voice. The boy turned towards me, his smile widening. "Sure thing! I'm Peter, by the way. class 1 is just up the stairs second door on the left. I'm headed there too, so you can follow me." Relief washed over me as I introduced myself, and we began walking together. Peter made the journey seem effortless as he chatted about the school, the teachers, and the best places to eat nearby. His friendly demeanor put me at ease, and I realized that my first day might not be as daunting as I had imagined. "welcome our new student" Mr otti said, pointing at me, I was both shy and nervous, my legs where shaking like spaghetti, this is real life, my old neighborhood now felt local to me, I guess I'll start my new life here. FEW hours later and it was time for recess, I was stock again, I didn't know how to find the cafeteria, I stepped out of my class and wandered through the lobby, who and what I was looking for I couldn't tell. "hello", I heard a familiar voice behind me, that is probably my imagination, I didn't look behind me, I kept my forward movement, I heard it again "Hello dear, are you looking for something?" then I knew I wasn't hallucinating, I looked behind me and found him with all smiles like he won a lottery. I was lost at that moment but I was warned to never let my guard down. so I kept a strong face and replied "cafeteria I am looking" now that didn't come out right "I told the cafeteria where" no I hope I said that in my mind, oh s**t. he was still smiling at me and watching me make a fool of my self. My first day is turning sour and I am not liking it, I just turned and ran away, where was I even running to, my legs where just moving like a zombie, ahhh am so finished..
