Mystery Solved

“Lucas are you sure you want to go to that stupid camp?” The ceiling I'm looking at is kinda weird. It has the design of the abstract art thingy, I just don't know how he managed to look at it everytime he lie down on his bed. “Yes Venice it is an invite so we should consider it.” He is packing his clothes for the camping. I already packed mine and it's against my will, I swear. ”Lucas, I really don't know how to decode that so hard puzzled mind of yours. Sometimes you are cold and a cruel, and then now you are like a kid that is excited to be taken to the carnival.” He put his nerve wracking eyes on me. Well when I first met him I was scared, but unfortunately everything changed. “To answer that, you really can't decode my mind. I have reasons on why I am looking forward to this invite,” from the way he said it this might be interesting but still I don't like this. “So what is it?” I asked him quickly. “You will know as long as we get there.” Before I arrive here I really don't like this idea but it's still interesting so I'm gonna follow his lead for now. Two long hours of travel had passed, and we are still not there. Lucas and I are comfortably sitting beside each other on a bus. He definitely don't want someone sitting beside him, but because some girls want to. He told them in a very cold tone that no one will sit beside him except for me. He just did that because they will be competing for this seat. He's not actually wanting me to sit here, he has no other choice, and now that made all of them to glare at me. I looked at them and rolled my eyes. I don't know how I even became friends with this young man here. He's too cold for me to be friends with, like I'm a social butterfly, but not the famous one. He's the famous one though. He's cold and cruel, but almost all women in the school are into him. So after hours of travel we finally arrived at the camping place thingy. As usual it's near the forest and a lake. “So we're here already, now tell me the reason why did we even joined this camping thingy Lucas?” I asked him directly looking straight forward to his eyes. “Later, Venice,” he replied. Seriously? I thought he's going to tell me now, but he didn't. I hate him that guy. The Camp Captain guided us to our designated rooms, and the bad thing is, I'm gonna share mine with his. Well it's a relief when I saw that there is another room inside the room. I took the left one and he took the other one. The Camp Councelor said that we should rest first before doing some camp thingys. I really hate this things but luckily Lucas made me feel excited about this. I woke up and it's already night time. I took a quick shower but still carefully taking care of my skin. The door did not open immediately when I tried to get out. What am I even thinking when I was putting my lotion on. After I got out silence is the only thing inside our room and me. Lucas was not in his room when I checked it. Maybe he's already in the cafeteria. The pavements are full of night lamps for a safe walk to the cafeteria and everywhere else. Before going in I hear voices of women and worse thing is they are talking about the one and only Licas. I opened the door and all I can here is Lucas, Lucas, Lucas, I'm really tired of hearing that name. I looked for him but I can't seem to find even his shadow. Seated at the corner of the cafeteria, silently eating my medium rare steak. This camping thingy is fancy, and I like it. “Venice thank god you're here,” I heared a voice from hell. I saw Lucas sitting while facing me, who's now watching me eat my steak gracefully. “What?” He doesn't like my raised eyebrow, but what can he do he's in trouble, and he needs my help. “Nothing, you continue.” My steak is now on its last bite and it's kinda frustrating that I can't eat more. I'm not in a diet but I'm so full, and I can't afford to have diarrhea. “I'm done eating so—“ before I even to finish the whole sentence it was interrupted by a scream coming from the kitchen. “AHHH!” It was a high pitched voice and obviously from a woman. I looked at Lucas, so this is what he is talking about. A mystery to solve. Still how did he know that there will be like this here. Other than that this camping thingy will be exciting. We're gonna get to the bottom of this mystery. Lucas and I will put the suspect in prison for sure. I'm Veronica Briarwood and Lucas Gillian and we are the mystery duo of Kaeder High.
