The house is named Monohora, and it is home to our story’s hero, Siddharth Modak (nicknamed Sid), who is about 30 years old and the second son of the Modak family. He is a handsome man—tall and broad-shouldered, fair-skinned, with a full head of hair, glasses, and a well-trimmed beard. In short, he’s the kind of guy all girls instantly crush on!The Modak family includes:Siddheshwar Modak (Dadai) and Sushama Modak (Thammi) — the elderly couple.Their children: Samaresh Modak (eldest son), Amaresh Modak (youngest son), and Aparajita (daughter). Both sons run the family business.Samaresh’s wife is Arati Modak (eldest daughter-in-law), and Amaresh’s wife is Sulata Modak (younger daughter-in-law). These two daughters-in-law take care of the household.Aparajita, whenever not traveling for work, helps out around the house and enjoys chatting with her sisters-in-law.The grandchildren of the house:Som (eldest grandson), Siddharth (Sid) (middle grandson), and Sritama (Sri) (youngest granddaughter) are the children of Samaresh and Arati.Sandeep (Sandy) and Sreenipa (Nipa) are Amaresh and Sulata’s children.Aparajita has a daughter named Srinanda (Nanda), who is married to Rajib Mitra. Since Rajib’s maternal home is nearby, they frequently visit Monohora.None of Siddheshwar's grandchildren are married yet. They’re all busy with their careers:Som is a school teacher.Sid was recently promoted and is now the boss of the news channel Roj Khobor. Despite his busy schedule, he is also a talented singer and performs at concerts.Sri is a brilliant student pursuing a PhD in History.Sandy writes scripts for TV serials.Nipa has always been filmy and now works as a model.Even though they are all busy, the house is usually lively—except when Sid is away. The young members of the family have formed a group called "Holla Party", with Rajib as the leader, and members including Nanda, Sri, Sandy, Som, and Nipa. This group handles everything—from planning family pujas to dealing with major issues. Although Sid shares a good bond with them and loves them dearly, he’s still a bit scared of them—because once they start teasing him, they never stop! Still, sometimes even the Holla Party needs Sid’s help with planning or problem-solving, and being a perfectionist (our hero, after all!), he always lends a hand gladly and efficiently. 🤗Now, 5 kilometers from Monohora, is Pranohora, home to our story’s heroine, Mithai Das.She’s also a journalist. After working at a magazine for a while, she recently cracked an interview and landed a senior editor’s post at Roj Khobor news channel.Mithai is nothing short of a fairy—slim and graceful, with long hair, medium height, fair complexion, big expressive eyes, and most importantly, a heart-melting smile that has left hearts broken from school to college to office. But Mithai doesn’t give anyone the time of day—she believes her Gopal (Krishna) will send a hero into her life. A total filmy girl, she often chats with her Gopal in her mind while working. At home, Mithai lives with her parents:Parvati Das (mother) and Dibakar Das (father).Dibakar is an army officer and doesn't stay with them, while Parvati runs an orphanage to keep herself busy when Mithai is at work.---This is the introduction to our hero and heroine and their families. In the upcoming parts, the story will unfold in detail.Note: Like a classic serial, Arati and Parvati have no prior connection—they don’t know each other or their families. They will only come into each other's lives through Sid and Mithai. How that happens—you’ll find out as the story progresses! If you liked this introduction, let me know in the comments! If I get good responses, I’ll post the next part.Your love and support are always welcome. ❤️

Office love (A romantic love story ❤️)
First Meeting ❤️ It was a bustling Monday morning in the city of Kolkata. In the midst of all the chaos, the Modak household had already come alive with the energetic calls of its patriarch, Siddheshwar Modak. Meanwhile, the matriarch Sushama Modak was busy organizing the morning prayers with her eldest daughter-in-law, Arati, while the younger daughter-in-law handed over the market bag to Amaresh Babu. The second son, Samaresh, was away in Delhi for work and wouldn’t return for another month. So, Amaresh Babu was left with double the responsibility, hurrying off to the market with no time to breathe. Inside the house... Grandpa (Dadai): "Where is everyone? Arati! Sulata! Won’t I get some tea today or not? This poor old father-in-law is shriveling up without food since morning!" 😂 Arati: "Wait, Baba! I’m just cutting fruits for the offering, I’ll get your tea right after!" 😊 Dadai: "Just being beautiful isn’t enough, dear. You know I can’t start my day without your special milk tea!" 😜 Grandma (Thammi): "See what your father-in-law says early in the morning, Arati?" Arati: "Let it be, Ma. He’s just joking. Besides, his presence fills the house with joy." Thammi: "I wonder how many cups of milk tea he needs every day. If your grandson hears about this, he’ll be furious! And the doctor said no milk tea, remember?" Dadai: "Forget your grandson and his rules. Is he my father or am I his? I will drink milk tea—with lots of sugar too! Sulata, give me a proper cup now!" Just then, a voice thundered from behind— "How many times do I have to tell you to stop having all these unhealthy things?! You're not getting any younger!" Everyone turned around, and there stood Siddharth Modak—the second son, known as Sid—fresh from his rooftop gym session, glaring at his grandpa. Dadai: "Why are you staring at me like that, Dadu bhai? You’re scaring me!" 😅 (sits on the sofa) "Okay, okay, just give me some black tea then, Sulata!" Thammi: "You better talk to your Dadai now. He never listens to me!" (she leaves the room) Dadai follows her out, and Sulata leaves too to answer a phone call from her mother. Sid walks into the kitchen. Sid: "Ma, I need my coffee. I have to go to the office early today. Rajib da called—he’s coming over in the evening to plan for Holi." Arati: "Wow, that sounds fun! But Sid, no matter what the Holi plan is, you must be part of it this time." Sid: "Ma, you know I don’t enjoy all that noise and chaos." Arati (mock serious): "I don’t want to hear excuses! You have to come. One day when you get married and your wife complains that you’re a boring hermit, what should I say to her, hmm?" 🤭 Sid (blushing and annoyed): "Ugh! I’m never getting married! Just give me my coffee. I have a new joining today—need to be there early." Arati: "Go get ready, I’ll send it to your room." As Sid heads to his room, Arati folds her hands before the deity. Arati (praying): "Radha Madhav, please send someone into my son’s life who’ll love him for who he is, and gently bring out the best in him." --- Meanwhile, one by one, the rest of the Modak siblings—Shree, Neepa, Sandy, and Som—wake up and get ready. Everyone has breakfast and heads out for their respective work except Neepa, who has no shooting today. As Sulata returns, Arati tells her to serve breakfast to everyone and asks Neepa to take Sid’s coffee and breakfast to his room. Arati: "Neepa, go take food to Dadu bhai." Neepa: "Okay, Jethimoni!" Sandy (teasing): "Careful on the stairs, Neepa, or poor Dadu bhai won’t get his breakfast!" 😂 Everyone chuckles. Neepa (chasing Sandy): "Chhorda! I’m going to kill you today!" (She runs after him) Sid comes downstairs and pulls Sandy’s ear. Sid: "Why are you teasing my little sister? I know she stumbles while walking, but that doesn’t give you the right!" 😜 Neepa: "Dadu bhai, you too! That’s not funny!" Just then, Amaresh Babu walks in, confused to see everyone laughing. Som quickly fills him in on the incident, and he too bursts out laughing. By 9 AM, everyone heads out for work except Neepa, and the kitchen again comes alive with the sounds of cooking. --- Now let’s shift the scene to Pranohora… At the Das household, the temple bell rings. Parvati Devi is offering her morning prayers. Parvati: "Mithi! Wake up, it’s so late! Aren’t you going to the office? It’s your first day!" Half asleep, Mithai mumbles, "I’m getting up, Ma! The office is just five minutes away, what’s the rush?" Then she looks at the clock—it’s 9:00 AM. Mithai (shouting): "Ma! Why didn’t you wake me earlier?" Parvati: "I’ve been calling you since 8:30! Go shower quickly, I’ll get breakfast ready." After freshening up, Mithai gets dressed in a light yellow long kurti and red leggings. Simple kajal on her eyes, open hair, a touch of pink lipstick, minimal makeup, oxidized earrings, and a watch—our Mithai Rani looked effortlessly stunning. (And what about Sid’s look? White t-shirt under a black blazer with matching pants, light-framed glasses, neatly styled hair, and a brown watch. That’s all it takes to make our handsome hero a showstopper!) Mithai: "Ma, I’m late. Just give me juice—I can’t eat now!" Parvati: "Stop whining and sit down! I’ve been calling you forever!" Mithai sulks but eats a few bites and then rushes toward the office. --- At the office entrance… Sid was just stepping out when Mithai, in a hurry, ran in—and BAM! A collision! Mithai lost balance, and Sid instinctively held her by the waist. For a moment, time stood still. Their eyes met, locked in a daze. The world seemed to fade as they stared at each other. When reality returned, Sid let go, and Mithai immediately snapped. Mithai: "Can’t you walk properly, mister?! You bumped into me! I almost broke my back!" Sid (offended): "Excuse me?! You bumped into me! Rushing like a maniac on your first day—can't you come early like everyone else? Disgusting." Sid stormed off. Mithai muttered under her breath, "Only weirdos cross my path. First day of work and this drama already. If I ever run into him again, I’ll show him!" Unbeknownst to her, Sid had dropped his phone during the collision. As he returned to pick it up, he overheard Mithai’s rant. Sid: "Instead of standing here talking nonsense, maybe focus on your job." Startled, Mithai froze, then fled down the hall. Sid watched her disappear, and though he wouldn’t admit it, something about her had left a small mark on his heart.
