STEPHEN TRUDGED THROUGH his daily chores like an exhausted kid on a dairy farm. His legs ached, his arms stung. He could barely stay awake during the day, yet a decent sleep was stolen from him as he was haunted by weird dreams through the night. Brad had been gone four days. Four days!
