|Twenty Eight|
|Luxinia|
My eyes fluttered open again for the hundredth time. My appearance was atrocious and I didn't even know where I was. A cough bubbled up throughout my chest and the next thing I knew I was coughing up blood. My chest heaved, forcing me to sit up. Looking around, I realized I was in a bedroom, naked. There was dry blood caked throughout my body. Unhealed scratches marred my legs and abdomen. Dom once again used me. And I passed out. Again.
Slowly, I dragged my gaze over to the woman in the corner. She had a bucket in one hand and in the other, a sponge. I frowned. If she was going to give me a sponge bath then I would definitely beat her ass. "Why?" I whispered, almost no sound coming out.
"Master Dominick has requested for you to be cleaned and dressed properly," She replied, coming over and tugging at the restraints at my ankles and wrists.
"Why?"
"The ball is in a bit. You've been passed out for a few days due to your injuries. Be grateful that Master didn't end your life," The half succubus grabbed the sponge and dripped it into the bucket. She gingerly pressed the sponge against my stomach.
I watched quietly as the sponge soaked up all the blood. My cuts were still visible even more so due to the blood. I noticed that my thighs had Dom's named engraved into them. I ran my hands slowly over the wound. I would pay him back... soon.
"You know, if you weren't so stubborn you wouldn't be in this state," the girl remarked, her eyes traveling to my legs. Bruises decorated my ankles like some sort of twisted art piece.
"I stand for my own beliefs," I muttered, anger set in my gut, "you wouldn't understand."
"I have my own beliefs as well. Our race was made to satisfy. Look at the way our bodies work. This s*x energy controls us. Incubi are more powerful. We are purely made to please them. In due time, you will realize. Once Dom breaks you, you will see the error of your ways," The girl half-smiled at me and proceeded to wash my body.
I glared at her, my hands clenching slowly and unclenching. She was lucky that I was restrained or else I would've killed her. "Thank you for telling me that. I'll remember to rip your throat out along with Dominick's."
The girl continued to wash me in silence. Once she was finished, she left the room.
I stared up at the ceiling and took a deep breath. The ball is coming up. I need a plan that helps everyone and not just me. Tessa and Jamie were still captured. I needed to rescue them along with myself. I was simply not strong enough. Part of me wanted to depend on Jesse and that he would take me out of here safely, but I knew I couldn't solely depend on him. He couldn't do all this alone. I'm capable of my own fate.
The door opened and in came the man of the hour. Dominick. He had no smile upon his gruesomely handsome scarred face. He wore a suit, looking lethal as always. I grinned lazily. I was completely done with the way he treated me and I didn't care if he hurt me further. There was no breaking something that's already broken.
"Why the smile Lux?" He questioned, a truly confused look on his face.
I shook my head and continued to grin. "No reason. I just find it funny how no matter if you have me imprisoned here, I will never submit to you. I would rather you kill me. This life? This isn't living."
Dom chuckled softly. "Lux, do you honest to god think I even want you in that way anymore? Do you think I want to punish you because of what you did? No, I just take pleasure in bringing you to the point in which you don't care if you're dead or not. Do you feel death is bliss compared to this? Then I'm simply doing exactly what I should be doing." Dom reached over and grabbed my arm tightly, "but if you think for one second that I won't hurt Tessa or Jamie, then you have another thing coming."
I raised my eyes to him defiantly. "You wouldn't dare hurt Tessa. You wouldn't hurt Jamie either because he's an incubus no matter how weak he is. He was your apprentice and that's what's holding you back. You would've killed him by now actually. Don't think for one second that I don't know your tactics already."
Dom threw his head back and laughed. "You're lucky that the ball is in a few hours. If not, I would've hit you across the face already."
I spat in his face and grinned. "Do it for f**k's sake."
Dom stood up quickly and left the room without a word.
I smiled, leaning my head against the wall. This was my small victory. Soon it would be time for the big one.

I tilted my head back and stared at the ceiling of Dom's mansion. There were black balloons covering the whole ceiling in which I found unusual. Dom wasn't the balloon type. He hated them. The designer must've somehow convinced him. I was attached to Dom's arm, doped up on his blood in order to speed up the healing process. I could walk slowly, by holding my weight up with his arm. It was a miracle that the dress I wore covered up every bruise that was on my body. The dress was crimson and it flowed out from my hips like a waterfall. The bodice was adorned with lace, wrapping around my bosom tightly. Lace was also around my neck, following my shoulders before transitioning into sheer sleeves. I was barefoot under the dress since my ankles were still somewhat too sprained to wear heels. I had pounds and pounds of makeup on me in order to hide the marks on my face. The bruises had faded, but in bright lighting, you could still see them along my neck.
Dominick held me up, pinching me on my side. "If you act up, I'll make sure you suffer."
I nodded and smiled tightly at men and their succubi as they passed us, "Of course."
Dominick stopped in front of the hors d'oeuvres and grabbed something off a plate a waiter was holding. "Buffalo chicken tortilla, literally the best thing ever created. You want one, my love?"
I shook my head and glared at him. "No thank you."
Dom smiled darkly and popped the appetizer in his mouth. Bloodtrei walked up towards us and my back straightened instantly.
"Hell Petrove, I'm surprised you got this heathen to obey you. I'm happy to see she is behaving so well," Bloodtrei chuckled and his red eyes swept across my body lewdly, "however, she seems to be a little tense. Perhaps she needs a drink?"
Dominick nods and stares at me. "Perhaps you're right Head. I'll be sure to bring her some Scotch. Will you keep her company while I do so?"
I shook my head quickly and grabbed Dom's arm as he started to walk away. "No, I'm fine Dom, really."
Dominick turned and smiled at me. His eyes went from Bloodtrei to me and then he understood. "No, you will stay here with Bloodtrei."
I took a deep breath and sighed as Dom walked away. Dom may have been treating me the way he did. but I did not want to be anywhere near Bloodtrei. Bloodtrei grabbed my arm and pulled me closer. "Don't be afraid. I don't bite... that much."
I raised my head and glared at him. "Aren't you proud of your little science experiment with Dominick?"
Bloodtrei nodded his head. "Of course. I did it just for you. There's something off about you. I'm sure Dominick is making sure you stay in line." He leaned in towards my ear. "You were siding with some people that I wouldn't want you to side with darling. My daughter isn't someone who doesn't go completely ignored." Bloodtrei motioned his head towards someone across the room. "Also, I know about you and him."
My eyes followed where he was looking and instantly my breath caught.
Jesse stood across the room, his eyes glued to mine. He looked absolutely breathtaking in his signature black suit and tie. His hair was picked up into a tight ponytail and he had a light scruff on his face that added to his whole unkempt but hot vibe. His eyes wouldn't leave mine. The more intense his gaze became the more heat flow throughout my body.
"If I didn't know any better, I would assume that Jesse more than thinks of you as a s*x toy. I will and can kill him if I think so," Bloodtrei placed his hand on my lower back. I was still staring at Jesse and Jesse couldn't take his eyes off me. He mouthed something to me. His lips formed the word f**k. But why?
He mouthed it again and them I understood. Duck. But why would he say that? It makes no sense--
The second that I questioned him, a huge explosion happened above my head. I ducked instantly when I saw the black balloons exploding above me. Screams sounded as pieces of the ceiling were falling. Bloodtrei suddenly disappeared from my side and I grabbed onto the table and started to crawl under it. A wired rope was falling from the giant hole in the ceiling and figures in black were sliding down from the rope. There were dozens and dozens of figures coming down, swords and guns attached to their hips. The second they touched down, they started to fight the incubi in the room. My eyes instantly went searching for Jesse. He told me to duck. Was he a part of this?
Screams were still erupting from everywhere and I took a deep breath. I needed to find Tessa and Jamie and escape. I thought I had seen them earlier with Dom's slaves, so I need to get them.
"Get the girl and Jamie! I need to find Luxinia! If anyone finds her before me, take her someplace safe," I heard Dom shouting down the room. The cloaked figures moved with a grace that only skilled fighters could have and they took down many incubi that were fighting them.
Suddenly, an incubus grabbed me from my hiding spot and started dragging me off into the hallway. I screamed and tried kicking him off, but then another one grabbed my left arm and started dragging me more.
"Lux!" I heard a familiar voice calling my name. Turning around, I saw Blair fighting off three incubi to get to me.
I kicked the ones dragging me and I tried to fight them off. Another explosion happened and suddenly everything went black.

Once the signal came in and the first explosion happened I knew I needed to look for Jamie. Dominick was giving off orders to grab Tessa, Jamie, and Lux. I knew I could trust Blair and Roman to get Lux and Tessa. I just needed to focus on getting Jamie.
Dom's eyes traveled to mine and he narrowed his eyes in anger. Suddenly, he whirled around and grabbed Jamie who was being taken by an incubus. He yanked Jamie by the collar and dragged him off into a side hallway. My anger bubbled and I followed after, incapacitating incubi that were trying to take me down.
Dominick was slowly changing into his true form and with a strong gust of wind following in his wake, he flew onto the second floor through the side hall. I followed, changing into my own true form amidst the chaos. "Jamie!" I shouted as I jumped onto the staircase. There Dominick was, grinning and standing in front of a curtain on fire. He looked like Satan himself, standing before the chaos. Dom had Jamie by the back of his neck and he threw him back towards the curtains.
"It's time that I see what you're made of Storm!" Dom growled, roaring at me.
I bat my wings, a gust of wind blowing out the fire behind him. He turned around, narrowing his eyes and that's when I took my chance to strike. I rushed towards him, sinking my claw-like hands into his neck. Dom bellowed, shoving me back.
"It's been years since incubi have fought like this. It was only a matter of time," Dom smirked, "it's exhilarating, isn't it? Succumbing to our demons."
"Shut up," I threw my leg out and swept across the back of his knees. Dom came down hard, pulling me with him. Fists came at my face left and right. I dodged the first one with ease, but his right fist came in, striking me hard across the jaw. Pain bloomed along the side of my face and I stepped back some, shaking my head, waiting for the pain to subside.
"If you do kill me, I would rise again. Bloodtrie would bring me back to life, might as well hand me Luxinia back," Dom raised his head, a dangerous look in his eye.
I grabbed his shoulder and cracked my fist into his face. Dom kicked me off and suddenly he brandished a knife out of nowhere. I stopped and stared at the blade. The blade was blue and it pulsated.
Seraphic blade.
Is an incubus wielding an angel blade? That wasn't even possible. Seraph blades were only to be held by angels. If a demonic creature held a seraph blade we would be instantly burned. Dominick holding one was completely absurd.
"Interesting, huh? I bet you didn't think that I could hold one. Turns out being resurrected has it perks," Dominick lunged forward and threw the knife. I ducked, but I wasn't fast enough and the knife embedded deep inside my shoulder. I shrieked and threw my head back.
My skin bubbled and blistered as the knife scalded my skin. I stumbled back and suddenly I was caught up in the fiery curtains. A second explosion happened, shaking the floor. Cracks erupted and holes began forming on the floor. I slid towards one of the holes. My hands found purchase on the ledge and I made sure I didn't let go.
Dominick came towards me and grinned. "Why fight for this? Who are you fighting for? Lux? If you are then I want you to know that she's already dead."
He stepped on my fingers slowly, the sound of them cracking under his boot caused him to smile in response.
I cursed, using my other hands to grip the end. Dom held out his hand. "Take it," His hand was out.
I shook my head, trying to pull myself up.
Dom shook his head and climbed down to his knees, raising the blade above his shoulder and impaled my hand to the ground. I winced in pain, trying to yank my hand out without falling.
He stood up again straight. "Goodbye, Storm." With a force to be reckoned with, Dom threw out his foot and kicked me hard in the face, the last thing I saw as I fell through the floors was his horrific face.
