Imprisoned to the Past

Opening my eyes to what felt like drowning, I feel myself to be in an extremely soft bed tucked in. The room did look similar but it’s clearly neither my bed nor my room. I am sure I never liked so much of shimmer and pink colour and the whole room was covered with it, kinda feels like Seo Yeon’s room. What the hell am I thinking, that can’t be …. LOL …never, me … in Seo Yeon’s bed …. Wait no ways. I sprint up and ran to the mirror. “No …. nO…. NOOOOOOO….. tHiS cAn’T bE hAppeNInG!” I hear a pair of footsteps approaching, making my head spin to the door. “Seo Yeon- ah! What happened my child…. Did you dream something really bad?” asked Mrs Seo while she cupped my face with her hands and I could see Mr Seo was having a face full of concern standing right behind. “Umm nothing, just saw a dream that I turned into Mi Young so I screamed”, relieved that I could make up an excuse, one of the perks of having a strict mom and dad. “Oh, that’s fine then, sweetie you scared the hell out of me.” “Its fine now…mom! I can go back to sleep now … sorry that I disturbed you guys.” I said hesitatingly, making them look surprised. “Yeon- ah!” Mr Seo tensed up as he continued, “You know you can share anything with us and we won’t mind cause you mean the world to us so the most important thing is your well-being okay?” “Why are you saying this, I know that and why do you guys look so tensed?” “Honey you never say sorry for such trifle things, you sure you are okay?” “Mom… can’t I change for something good?” I knew that b***h was a rude punk, at least I don’t wanna be like her but to keep others from knowing anything I will need to keep on this act. Mr & Mrs Seo smile to me as they kiss me goodnight and leave with a face that says I-am-so-proud-of-you. Oh NOOOOOOO what do I do? How come I ended up in this body? Ugh my head hurts as scenes flash up in my head……. Day before I DIED!!!!!!! Mi Young POV: “Ow look whose back, man I am so impressed by your will to come back to school every day after all the dignities you get of being a sucker!!” As the whole group of bullies c***k up their evil laugh. I don’t react anymore to their bitchy comments cause it’s not like I didn’t try but it never made a difference and the authorities favouring a more popular student with a rich family background is normal. “Hey, did you finish your assignment today? You know it’s quite tough to solve…..” as Minji kept looking at me with her pretend-helpless-eyes. Yeah she’s among those bullies but tries to keep some good words to get her homework and assignment done from me. Typical right…. But that’s how I survive. “Yeah…. Here you go…”as I handed her my work. The teacher knew it but couldn’t help much after all who would give up their job for someone’s homework being copied. Well she never knew the bullying part. It would only make her feel worse cause either way she couldn’t help as I do not belong to the filthy rich class family, these families controlled the schools and other institutions wherever they went, no one to question them. But my middle class family status wasn’t the reason I was bullied, it all started at the age of 8. Flashback ************* “Is the camera ready? Honey, where are the party poppers, she might be here any moment soon.” “Chill everything is exactly how you planned it….. Umm…. People I need you to keep it low she is arriving soon….”, as he switched the lights off. Everything was so dark in the room, I gulped down as I took a deep breath but again I looked at Seo Yeon for the last time but all she did was “fighting, I believe you can do it now prove it” as I was pushed into the dark room to complete my dare. I barely made my way into the middle of the room as the light went on and the sound of party poppers made me flinch as the huge group of my best of people sang happy birthday to me while the clock struck 12. Overwhelmed with joy I turn towards Seo Yeon who smiled at me prompting out a ‘happy birthday’ as I return a thank you through my eyes. Yeah we used to be best of friends. The candles were blown, we waited, it was getting late and people started leaving but the one person we waited for didn’t show up. No one could have thought that this could happen it never happened to anyone before. “Mimi, its fine let’s wait a little more maybe your guardian angel show up a little late, it’s no biggie people can come late to the party, right?” To which I nod, trying to not lose my last ounce of hope. And it did work, I opened my eyes to quench my urge to pee at mid night which is not usual for me yet I do as my body wants. Returning to my room, I flinch as I reach out to close the door behind when a soft voice speaks near my ear “Hey …. Hie”.
