Back on the battle field…
“Insects!!!” Jin shook her head, she had been surrounded by eight masters at the third realm of the cultivation path, yet she didn`t feel threatened. She laughed lightly and chakra engulfed her, the spikes covering the beast she sat on began to glow.
“Lotus death pattern.” A man behind her yelled, he instantly disappeared and appeared just behind Jin, he was engulfed in chakra and he slashed out towards her.
“Shuuuaaaaa.” The hit was about to make contact when the man froze in mid air, his eyes widened in disbelief when he stared at his chest. The tail of the beast had pierced him from behind, stabbed through his heart and even went through to the other side, he hung there on the tail. His sword dropped and blood leaked from his mouth.
“Such power and speed.”
“What a beast! It killed a master with such ease.” The remaining seven drew back lightly, their gazes fixed on their companion hanging on the tail.
Jin licked her lips and something bizarre happened, the body hanging on the tail began to dry, the blood leaking from the lips disappeared, it got drier and drier and drier. The draining didn’t stop until the sound of bones breaking could be heard could be heard and the body folded like fabric. The beast roared and a terrifying aura exuded from it, the body dropped to the floor with a thud.
“It completely drained him.”
“This aura, this beast is probably at the fourth step of the third realm!” Kerepa warned the others with his spiritual sense. “The beast alone is stronger than us combined.” His voice shook.
“My bloodspike is powerful enough to conquer your entire nation.” Queen Jin laughed and licked her lips.
“Pheeeeewwww.” All of a sudden, some spikes shot out from the beast, they were connected to the beast by some sort of veins. The spikes travelled with insane speed, none of the seven were expecting the attack.
“Move!!!” Eye thorn avoided a spike by inches, he was quickly drenched in sweat, the spike would have lodged into his missing eye. He felt lucky, but some were not.
About two of the seven couldn`t evade the spike, there wasn`t enough time to block the hit and it pierced through them at vital points. The same draining process began and the two began to scream.
“Peng, peng, peng.” Old pa cut out towards the veins, but it felt like he struck metal. Right in their presence, the two reduced to a sack of bones, the spikes returned into the body of blood spike.
“Seriously?” Jin laughed out loud. “Looks like I won`t be making any moves, bloodspike will crush you totally.”
“We need a plan.” Kerepa analyzed the situation, they were threading the borders of death, a simple mistake could end their lives.
At once, the five surrounding queen Jin pulled backwards, they turned in various directions and sped off, they went further and further away from queen Jin and her blood spike. As they moved, they went on a killing spree. It was like they started to compete on who could kill the highest amount of men.
“So that is the plan.” Saru smiled, he could easily tell what they were doing.
Jin`s forces were numerous, but it was made up of men who either had low cultivation ranks or had no experience in warfare. They also had a few masters, the nation`s forces on the other side had a lot of masters. (i.e. Cultivators at the third realm of the cultivation path.)
“I see.” Jin laughed lightly after observing her surroundings, her forces were quickly being slaughtered. “Pfft, well I don`t need them. I might as well feed bloodspike.”
The nation`s forces had the upper hand, the speed of advancement was just barely noticeable, but since the major masters refrained from fighting queen Jin and joined in facing her army, it was quickly reduced to nothing. Men like Old pa used explosive attacks that could slay over a score at once, Kerepa controlled more than a hundred of the invaders and the other masters were equally terrifying.
“What will you do Jin?” Saru smiled, he still stood on top of the gate, his sights fixed on queen Jin and her bloodspike. He expected the latter to be bewildered, but he was baffled by her unruffled demeanor.
“Kill!!!” With a yell from queen Jin, the bloodspike moved, the speed was beyond natural and it killed everything it came across.
“Ha, the queen betrayed us.”
“Now we are being slaughtered on two fronts.”
“We are finished.”
Without hesitation, Jin`s army began to desert. Fighting was no longer a choice for them, it didn`t matter whichever side you fought, death was still certain. The nation`s forces quickly retreated into the walls and everyone else scrammed.
In less than five minutes, just Jin was outside the wall. There was not a drop of blood around er, just heaps of very dry bones.
“This much corpses and my baby didn`t even rise by a level?” Jin sounded like she wailed. “Such worthless insects, none of them reached the gate.” Somehow, her voice resounded even in the city.
“Well, no one said you shouldn`t have standards.” Saru responded. “It will take more than a thousand insects to move this gate.” Saru`s retort was filled with pride, chakra engulfed everyone who stood by him. They all shone along with the gate like a flame.

Right before Haru`s eyes, against his prayers, Titi appeared out of thin air. She looked ruffled and her face was drenched in sweat.
“Oh my, she didn`t even last a minute with Da sun gone.” Haru smacked his face, Titi came out earlier than he expected.
“You are doomed, you expect that trash to face Ardona and the others by himself?” A disciple from Erka mist spoke out loud and the others laughed.
“Damn it, we can`t make it. Matero can`t do a thing in there, if it was me I—“
“Shut up Da sun.” Titi cut in and silenced Da sun, she infuriated by his presumptuous insinuations. “He is the best of us all.” Titi stood tall, confidence surged from her.
Kelena`s eyes sparkled, she recognized this feeling, she always sensed the same feeling around general Xiao and she was developing the same feeling. It was gradual, steady, but it was strong. It was the feeling that Matero would always prevail no matter what, like he was a god who was merely playing human.
Back in the dimension where Erka mist and the black nation clashed.
Matero stood at one end of the stage, Ardona and his colleagues stood at the other, Ardona was engulfed in chakra, his aura covered the entire stage.
“What is this strange feeling I am having, has he been hiding his true abilities?” Ardona was seriously baffled by Matero`s sudden change in aura, the pressure from Ardona was totally neglected by Matero.
“It is just me against you three this time around.” Matero smiled, his sword was already drawn and chakra engulfed him.
“Really? You intend to wrestle us all by yourself? With you second realm cultivation?” Ardona mocked and the two behind him laughed.
Matero`s eyes scanned the three, he didn`t say a word. “Ardona is skilled, Lamp is explosive and Ony is fast.” Matero analyzed the three within his mind.
“Yes I intend to.” Matero finally replied and the three stopped laughing. “And I will.” Matero gave a light chuckle and he took a step forward. “But first let me close the cultivation gap.” Matero moved and a bang followed.
