Far away from East star, the situation of the black nation was about to get worse, they still had no clue about who queen Jin was.
About a week after the chosen disciples left for the semi continental event, something bizarre happened that triggered a chain of grim events.
In a meeting of the nation’s masters and generals, those present discussed the pressing matter of queen Jin.
“We need to contact neighboring nations, they are not safe either.” A general with thick beards was standing, everyone else were seated before a throne that bore Lord Saru. “If they can provide help, we might have a chance against this threat.” He sat as soon as he said this.
“True general, but the chances hang by a thin thread.” Lord Saru shook his head. “We might be done for before help arrives. She is somewhere within our borders, the closest nation is miles away.” Everyone began to murmur, you could tell everyone agreed. “We need a plan for resisting her till help arrives.” Lord Saru suggested.
“My Lord, if it was just her, our forces combined should at least stall her.” A man dressed in white robes addressed the gathering. “But according to the information we gathered, she seems to be building an army.” A lot of those present nodded in agreement, if Jin was as strong as they expected, facing her and an army at once would just be too difficult to handle.
Just as Saru was about to speak, an explosion rocked somewhere in the city. The aftershock reached the hall where they gathered, the doors sprung open and a man in full armor ran into the gathering. He knelt and addressed Lord Saru.
“Sire, an explosion just destroyed the western gate. Our casualties are been calculated.” He announced with trembling voice.
“That witch again.”
“She is messing around with us.”
“Silence.” Saru called for order and rose to his feet, the gathering instantly went mute and another guard ran into the hall and knelt beside the first.
“Sire, Eye thorn is right outside the palace with his men, he demands an audience.” Everyone began to murmur as soon as the guard spoke.
“Harga? What does he want?” Saru left for the exit at once, as soon as he exited, a general rose to his feet.
“Lord Saru has contacted me using his senses, we follow the set of the emergency protocols. Prepare for battle.” His voice was loud, instantly everyone moved.
“What do you want?” Outside the palace, a voice seem to descend from the clouds, a company of people clothed in red turned in all directions, seeking the source.
“Saru, I have come to warn you.” A man replied, he looked middle aged and was missing his left eye. It was not closed, but it was hollow. “Our forces are not sufficient to face queen Jin.” This was Harga the leader of the Red Rhinos, he was always referred to as Eye thorn.
Saru suddenly appeared before Eye thorn, he was already dressed in silver armor, his sword was drawn and was just inches away from Harga’s neck. The men behind Harga also pulled their swords, but with Harga’s signal stood still on a spot.
“I am not here to fight you, summon Pa and the other fool. I got intel, Jin is approaching.”
Harga explained his motives to Saru, he had been informed about a huge movement, he easily connected the dots and rushed over.
“ Why should I trust you, why do you want to help?” Saru didn’t lower his sword, he didn’t trust rebels. They betray after all.
“Because I hate Jin and I want to be the one who crushes you nation, not her.” Harga’s words bore hatred, his fists were clenched.
Saru stood still, he made no moves, his eyes fixed on Harga. Those observing found it strange, it was like Saru became a lifeless statue.
“She is here.” Saru suddenly announced, he withdrew his sword and dashed in a certain direction, Harga followed. The two handed out instructions using their senses as they moved.
The atmosphere changed when a loud gong reverberated round the city, this was the battle alarm. Non cultivating civilians quickly evacuated in accordance with pre given instructions, more soldiers patrolled the streets.
The nation’s force consisted of cultivators and non cultivators. Every cultivator was obligated to participate in warfare.
“She came right for the capital.” Kerepa was standing on a gate, various figures clothed in armor and black robes moved around. Saru and Harga appeared beside him, they all stared in a particular direction.
“Hello brother.” Kerepa laughed. “I thought you would ride with her.”
“Fool, I might be anything.” Harga smiled and pulled his sword. “But I am not a coward.”
Far in the direction the three faced, figures that numbered over eight thousand approached, some rode horses, some moved faster than horses. Somewhere in the midst of them all, a woman clothed in black translucent robes rode a huge beast, you could faintly see her snow white skin, her head was shaved and she frowned at the city before her. A long sword with a rocky hilt hung behind her, her beast was a huge lizard, it had spikes all over except where the woman sat, it’s tail was about four times it’s body length and it coiled like a whip, the beast itself was about the size of two horses.
“Descendants of Tumera, today you fall.” Her voice was like she slithered, chakra engulfed her. This was queen Jin, the enemy of the black nation.
It all began with a cry, the invaders outside the gate yelled as they approached the gate, most of them held swords and others held various weapons. Some were engulfed in chakra, various pressure and auras collided with the gate. The sound of the approaching steps was like thunder, it was a fearsome assault.
“Fire at will.” A general within the gates order, arrows shot out from within the walls and rained on the incoming invaders. Various shields went up, some even used techniques that created huge coverings that protected a lot of the invaders.
"Useless, Saru this is a war of cultivators.” Harga protested and dived down from the gate, he dashed towards the incoming army, chakra engulfed him and some of the approaching invaders collapsed.
“Brother is as fierce as ever.” Kerepa smiled, he dashed after Harga, thick smoke exuded from his body, more of the invaders began to collapse, blood leaked from their eyes.
More people engulfed in chakra leaped over the gate and charged towards the invaders. A green breeze collided into a wave of the invaders, the source, Old Pa was also engulfed in chakra.
With each s***h from Harga, about four invaders would fall to their knees. He didn’t wait to wrestle, he travelled straight towards Jin, about seven other people moved in the same manner. They all headed straight for queen Jin, leaving a killing streak behind.
Jin smiled, she could clearly see some masters come straight for her, the nation’s Lord still stood unmoving on the gate.
“Soul heart grip.” Kerepa gently muttered, about twelve of the invaders fell to their knees, their eyes turned white, they writhed on the ground for a while before rising up, they instantly picked up their swords and fought against other members of the army.
“A measly nation like this can manage a cultivator of the soul path.” Jin laughed. “Not bad, he has manipulated their hearts.”
The masters got closer and closer to Jin, the lower ranked cultivators and non cultivating members of the nation’s forces faced the invaders. Soon, Harga, Kerepa, Old Pa and five others surrounded Jin. Harga, Kerepa and Old Pa were all at the third step of the third realm, the other five were at the second realm of the third realm.
“You are all insects.” Queen Jin laughed.
