God's Of Africa

ARC1 SUBARC1 Everyone wants pleasure, it comes in different kinds for different people, for some people it's suffering, it's what gives them that pleasure" says the old man in the boat, "How is it suffering is pleasure" the young boy asked, Just like the body tries to regulate it's temperature, when it's warm it needs cold, when it's cold it needs warmth, pleasure could vary little one, for some death is the ultimate desire the seekers never get the pleasure of the old man answers, scaring the little boy while looking at the far reaches of the river, U don't have to be scared little one, for u are too young to understand just how complex the human mind can make of the simple beauty in this world, heard of the saying it takes a simple mind to understand simple things, but the complex mind will try to make even the simple things complex? Asks the old man, the young boy ( Eden ) replies no Sir, and i don't think that is an actual saying sir, well how will u know that the old man asked, Am an African it's the kind of advice we receive from literally everyone around us.....and he whispers yet i wish it truly makes us better persons. The old man laughs in a dry manner replying him whilst he stopped steering and let the waves carry them along, " Now that unpopular saying is a foolish way of differentiating Intelligence from Wisdom" Eden asks why do u say it's a foolish way? The old man immediately starts steering again saying little one tell me why are u out here alone, in a canoe with an unknown old man, so bold without fear, he brings out his necklace and shows it to him saying my mom gave me this before......before she....she said it will protect me from harm if only i remain brave, after few hours they reached the shores and the old man told him ur mom she is gone isnt she, Eden replies, she has left this world but i know she is with me always. The old man stopped and look at him "You Know?", the boy said yes as he thanks him and brings out a piece of bead from his necklace and gave it to him telling him it has a protective ability hopefully it helps the man in harms ways saying " I trust with all ur wisdom u must be brave so definitely it will work for u" as he walks away, however after walking 10 feets away from the man he looks back and couldn't find the man again. SA 2 "So what now" Asked Nathan, "I don't know, i guess now we go out to world and face it fully" Fitz replied, both sitting on a brick chair just outside the venue for their convocation 3 hours after the event, "Well yeah u re always the nerdy guy while am the guy who seeks money alone uh, I will be travelling to Lagos tomorrow I have a job interview next week in Lagos, what about you any plan for jobs yet?" Nathan asked, "I am rigid now in my forex trade and you know am not really the working type, i will pursue my academics Nath, and hopefully i do get admitted for the scholarship to study in Cambridge, i believe i will be better oriented and a better engineer....he smiles and looked back at the convocation site, gon miss this school u knw, anyway good luck on the interview man, we've come a long way as First Class students, no going back now", Fitz answered as they both left to meet with respective friends, Hey! Fitz! Hold up, was looking all over for u says Obinna as he runs towards Fitz, hey! Yeah was just abt to come see u guys was with my rommie back there says Fitz, alrighty then lets go to the coke out, if u gon miss it i wont mind i knw it's not really ur thing, but i don't think She won't Obinna says, Who wont? Fitz asked, come on don't be silly we past that man, u coming or not? Obinna replies, ofcourse man, i know u want me there badly u can't even hide it Fitz replies as they both smiled and got into Obinna's Car as they both drove to a hotel in Mcc road of Owerri town, capital of Imo state Nigeria. Phone rings Nathan Picks up hey! Fitz wassup, Hey uhm I called to tell u that i got the scholarship to study at Cambridge buddy am beyond glad right now and am out with friends to a coke out might sleep over there, means am gon miss u travel back to Lagos on Sunday Fitz answered, Wow!!!!!!! Bro am beyond glad to hear that man, this is like the catapult to ur apex man i always known u were gon get that scholarship if there is anyone who deserves it, it's u man, if u were here man we would make the loudest noise our lodge has ever experienced one thing though too bad u wont be here, U not always the type to celebrate over big things by going to a party especially with friends Sydney replies, yeah I know right guess this feeling is so big it changed me completely man or at least for the night it did, can't wait to tell this to my people am more than thankful to God, alright man, i'll give u a call tomorrow OK Fitz concluded, alright then stay safe Nath replied and Fitz said You too man. As they ended the call. SA 3 Deep in the soils of Onathena a forest in South Africa, native to the people of Arawesuna, three boys were walking in the forest for exploration, the first one Hey! Do u think the rumours are true? The second one, that there are evil spirits in the woods that eats up the souls of people who don't originate from this village? i doubt it. the first one Well rumours of missing individuals have been all over the news in this forest, some say it's a ritualistic kidnap or something...The third one Guys i think it's true, i know we are all scientists but let's be honest we are africans we have experienced spiritual powers first hand, something so off there is no science to explain it, it's more than possible that the rumours are true guys, The second one, Possibility is not certainty and I do not mistake my beliefs with knowledge Ok, I know spiritual forces exists and i know what i don't know cannot kill me, cause u can only brake a rule when u know the rule, the first one come on that is not true, a rule exists if we know it or not and when they are broken unawares it's still a crime man, there is no excuse, besides this is different U do know of the sayings that no tribal people should walk this forest, The second well please we are here anyway and i agree to disagree that I cant be faulted for a crime i never knew it was a crime, Rumours of a rule doesnt even qualify as belief, so i don't know it, i don't believe it and i most definitely cannot be faulted for it. the third one ok guys enough let's take pictures of the rubber tree we came here for and leave already no need to get all philosophical abt these things they are questions that have not been answered for millenia of man kind's existence i dont expect 3 south african scientists to answer them over fear of death while trying to take pictures of natural rubber making process, The Second one asks what do u mean? Because we are Africans does it mean we cannot make great impact in the world? The third Come on that is a compound overstretch of what i meant, We indeed have great minds from Africa it's just that there are no true answers to those terms Ok, it's all relative u know, no general accepted definition and there cannot be any. Oh my god, guys! Guys!! Guys will u quit it and take a bloody look at this, the First yelled pointing at a tree west of their position, The Third what in mother nature is that? The second we dont know what that is OK, it looks like blood cause it's thick and red doesnt make it blood ok, there are a million chemicals that can be synthesized with that physical property The first answered but how many of that can be naturally synthesized by trees, the second oh so blood is the logical answer right? So smart, The third, we dont know what it is let's move forward and take a closer look at it OK.... As the three moved closer to the tree and tried taking pictures but the pictures were not visible, the second tried using a stick to touch the thick red liquid and immediately they heard gunshots followed by a very loud explosion that shook the forest they ran out of fear away from the tree towards the source of the sound while running the second looked back and the bleeding tree was no longer bleeding but gunshots couldnt make him wonder much abt it, so they appeared in a near by village close to Arewesuna and only to find buildings and huts all up in flames and people with guns and dead people on the floor they were frightened to the bones and they tried to run back to the forest as they saw an old man walking with a walking stick and the first hurried to go save him but he was shot in the head and he died at once, as the two screamed and tried running back to the forest and they saw the same old man telling them to come with him at once, they were very confused and frightened and asked the old man who he was but he kept quite and kept on walking into the forest to the east of where they were but they had no choice than to follow the man. ARC 2 SUBARC 1 Uhm next please! Says the Receptionist in the Department of Cambridge University Scholarship programme building, Ok ur form sir, asks the Receptionist, Uhm here, this is it, Ok so Ndukwe Fitzgerald, Graduate of Federal University of technology Owerri, here for a 3 years programme to study Quantum Mechanics/Advanced Robotics, Sir u can only pick one of these, says the receptionist, Oh! Damn it! - Fitz, Language there Sir - Receptionist, Yeah uhm sorry, it's just uhm it's really difficult u know, i have passion for both and uhm i don't i just don't know which one to pick- Fitz, Uhm Sir can u hurry, it's quite a queue behind you- Receptionist, oh yes ofcourse Sorry, Advanced Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, i'll go with it. Alright Sir, u can have a sit somewhere there we'll get back to u - The receptionist while pointing to a Hall where the Scholars were seated waiting, Fitz walking away from the receptionist table, uhm Sir ur phone, u left ur phone on my desk - The receptionist, Ok uhm thank you says Fitz as he walks back and get his phone and entering into the hall, seeing over 5000 faces, He was nervous, and he akwardly walked to a seat and sat down., Hi Uhm anyone there? Oh uhm no one, u wanna sit replies fitz, Yeah it's one hell of spacious hall says a student who sat close to him, Yeah sure it is - Fitz, Uhm by the way i am Cotnar, Easeman Cotnar, you are? Fitzgerald but uhm Fitz for short, Fitz what? Asks Cotnar, Oh Ndukwe, sorry for not including it at first....Come on man! Really big day for u right? Cool I am an African also, South African, nice meeting u here Fitz.- Cotnar, Same here -Fitz. so uhm it must be really difficult for u uhm let me guess u've never been this far from home? Definitely one of the nerdiest- Cotnar Please come on! At first it was this together with quantum mechanics but i was forced to drop one so i made the hard call.- Fitz. Oh not trynna poke into ur matter or judge ur decision but uhm any chance the hard call could be the wrong call? No offense it's just u said it urself u are fascinated by anything that is quantum based and u actually applied to study quatum mechanics i have a feeling u chose robotics over qmechanics because of uhm job opportunities right?- Cotnar. Hmmmm....i don't know, i guess so - Fitz. Don't stress it Fitz it's alright we are Africans we prioritize wealth over ambition. I get u - Cotnar, but do we really need to? Attaining wealth can also be one's ambition and being a scientist can be one's way of achieving that, i mean Elon is a proof- Fitz, Uhm ( Smirks) Fitz to be honest no real scientist, i mean people with love for nature become a scientist for the money, u either a pure business man or u are of nature, Elon is a pure business man with great imagination he might be a lover of tech but he isnt a lover nature- Cotnar, Well i think it's the curiousity that differentiates us, everyone kinda loves nature, some maybe more than others but not everyone is driven with this void of curiousity that needs answer and amongst those driven not all are willing and witted enough to do what it takes to fill in that void, not just for the glory of the application but just for the glory of the knowledge.That differentiates a scientist from the mere man for me- Fitz wow! Wow! The man - Good day Students from different parts of Africa, I believe you all are excited for ur being here and i believe ur being here is for a reason, one that will benefit u and ofcourse benefit this dear planet more, well there is a cambrige branch in South Africa and of the 5000 admitted students, 2500 will remain here the rest will be going back to Africa to the branch in SA, the list is out in the Notice room, once u see ur name and ur branch, if it's to remain here then do well and proceed to the conference mall, if it's not proceed back to this mall ur flight will be in few hours Thank you. You passed out, we found you outside in a dry sand just outside the boarders of Omenisi Village - A young man replied. Who are you Sir and please where is this?- Eden, You can call me Esuna i am in charge of the military forces of Omenisi Village, the biggest village in Nakwadi, Gabon. Gabon? How did i get to Garbon? I took an aquatic transport to Cameroon from Ghana, i don't get how i got to Gabon- Eden. Aquatic transport? There is no sea connecting both nations are u sure u came by water- Esuna, I am 20 not 12 i know what i am saying, besides there was an old man with me, he was the one who captained the canoe that brouht me to the desert supposed to be in Cameroon.- Eden. Hmmmm so it's a river and this old man told u he was taking u to cameroon? Cause u are in Gabon son- Esuna. This is very weird, u say no water body connects both nations and if there were wouldn't be a river and somehow i am where am not supposed to be- Eden. Young man i would have said u did got to Cameroon but somehow also u walked to Gabon and u got tired and unconscious and somehow u forgot how u got here, but it's not possible it's almost thousands of kilometres away, u couldnt have made it on foot, even if must have taken u a month at least- Esuna. Well i have only walked for a day and am really hungry that much i remember, if am in Gabon i need to find my way back to cameroon, and i have few Cameroon notes with me but guess it will be useless in a Village in Gabon cause no bank to make an exchange here.- Eden, Really weird indeed, anyway u can't just walk ur way back to Cameroon or the latest bank in the community, u will probably die on ur way, but this is Omenisi u can work for money here and find ur way back, as for ur shelter not to worry u can stay with me, I am a single man with a decent English like u, from ur accent u re a Ghanian?- Esuna yes I am sir, thanks alot sir for the offer, but i can't waste anymore time waiting here, in an unknown village Sir am sorry i have to be on my way.- Eden. Come on, even if i let u walk off to the nearest bank, i don't think u have enough cash to travel all the way back to Cameroon so what then? ( Eden looks at him holding his necklace on a moody face ), Hey! Son it's OK - Esuna ( As he said that Eden left immediaty to a nearby forest and Esuna left to look for him ) Eden! Eden !! Hey am sorry Ok i didn't mean to hurt u anyway at all OK, I need to understand u better if am to knw what and what not to say...(he hears a twig and hurry towards the direction close to a tree, but unknown to him a snake was on the tree which glided towards Esuna and tries to bite but before Esuna could react he saw a dead snake right on the ground with a long sharp metal in it's skull and just in north of him is Eden ) wow!!! Did u do that? - Esuna, My father i never got to know who he was, up till now, Everyday i hear people call me son, i ponder on what it would mean for me if i got to know my father for all 2 decades of my life - Eden, Hey! Oh am so sorry, didn't know that Ok, hey come on inside OK- Esuna ( As they went back inside ). Ok Eden! Seems like you've been through a lot for a boy ur age, I was like u when i was your age, young, strong and bright, my mother was from this village but my dad from Ikenuda a neighboring village, he died when i was 12, and then my mother, she wasn't stable financially and so we had to move back to Omenisi and I started training, Momma sold most of our properties to start a trade and i joined military when i was 12, when i was 14 there was a war and i was assigned to the King's chambers to guard him leaving the villagers completely vulnerable cause every other forces where out in the battle field, i couldn't disobey the king, i remained even after we heard screamings in the village, I deviced a way to get off the kings sight and there i saw my mom..... U see she was lying there lifeless, i didn't know how to cry, i was taken in fully by the king's Brigade special devoted warriors who defend the king, we won the war after i gave the king the Head of our opposing force's village king's head, and i was just 15, so u see before 20 i became the leader of the military forces in this entire village and i've fought wars and won almost all, my reputation preceeds me and everyday i try to be a better person, and to give a better life to people who experience such ungodly childhood as i did, and seeing u just reminded me of myself, how vulnerable i was to the world at large, and seeing how strong, bold u are and now very skilled it's like am looking at a mirror of my young self, Eden, i think u re gonna be a great man, not like i am ok, u re gonna be great in ur own wonderful way, do not let the set backs u've faced define ur future ok, Let them serve as a lesson, reminding u of how unfair life is, and let that be a motivator of how u should play ur cards right if u want to a future u and you alone is in control of, doesnt have to be perfect in the sight of others, let it just be what u want, how u want it, and Eden sure Live it OK. - Esuna Wow! Can't believe what u had to turn into, just get to where u re today- Eden, Eden circumstances Eden, i allowed it shape my future, it was me in a virtual road that forms what i think of, i let my past stain my thoughts and this is where the road led me to, but it's not all that bad i have let it go, most of it anyway and am reshaping my paths and it's beautiful, but nothing compared to what urs will be and most importantly where it will lead u to- Esuna. U made this? - Eden, Uhmm yeah i can't tell from ur expression if u like it or not- Esuna, Oh! It's delicious probably the best thing i've tasted since mom's last Feinachi soup - Eden.
