Episode 2
The airport was loud and crowded.
Announcements blared from speakers. People rushed past with luggage, kids crying, and that nervous pre-flight energy hanging in the air.
Tia was weaving through the crowd, pink suitcase in one hand, handbag clutched to her chest. She was determined to get to the waiting room early.
She hurried her steps, took a sharp turn to the right—
*BAM.*
Her handbag slipped. Everything spilled.
Passports, tickets, pens, and papers scattered across the shiny floor.
“Ah! I’m sorry,” Tia mumbled under her breath, dropping to her knees.
At the same time, another hand reached down.
A pale-looking guy about her age bent to help her. His fingers brushed across a paper — an admission letter with a bold stamp: *THAILAND INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY*.
He picked it up, stood, and handed it to her.
“Do you attend TIU?” he asked, eyebrows raised.
Tia took the paper, cheeks red. “I’m... I’m just an admission recently.”
A bright smile broke across his face.
“Hi, I’m JJ. TIU Business Administration student.”
Tia couldn’t help but smile back. “Hi, I’m Tia.”
JJ helped her gather the rest of her things and even carried her pink suitcase for her.
When they reached the waiting room, it was packed. Every seat taken.
They found a small spot on the floor by the wall and sat down.
Talking came easy.
Tia told him about the scholarship.
JJ’s eyes went wide. “Wait — you got a scholarship for Law? At TIU? Bro, the requirements for Law are crazy high. That’s huge.”
Tia laughed nervously, scratching her neck. “I guess I got lucky.”
They were still talking when a voice crackled over the speaker:
_“Final call for Flight TG 923 to Bangkok. Final call for Flight TG 923 to Bangkok.”_
Tia scrambled up, heart racing.
She looked at JJ and grinned.
“See you in Bangkok.”
And with that, she rushed toward her gate — leaving behind a boy who was already wondering if their paths would cross again.
