life has never been easy till i saw light at the first day i was born.Nothing can be comparable to life anymore as i have risked many deaths since i was born .With my knowledge in my mind i didn't know what the word parents meant because my parents died when i was a little boy.I think this life gives me chances everyday to try.Believe you me in my village i was a wanted man for terrible things i did .
I was like a ghost to every person in the village .
The name of the village was Achakomu .The chief had sent out for man haunt after a r**e in the village and confirmed that it was me who did it .After noticing movements of people who were angry at the upper. zone of Achakomu land i run for my life .I run towards the river Mwaloo which was the biggest river that passed through Achakomu village.
I knew they wont catch me past that river cause it was a big river with no bridge and many of them feared it because it had carried many people offlate.I had to cut a log and make a temporary bridge so that i could cross the river. After i had cross the river i run as fast as a deer leaving no trace .Days passed and still was escaping day and night stealing food from peoples gardens for survival. My main destination was the city where i knew i would be safe from the villagers.
I passed through a village called haeshema which was so cross to the city where i knew i was safe .The villagers had searched me for a week now and i knew they had loose hope buh i had no agenda to return home.
I setted my foot in the known city of kambengueta where i had people say dreams come true. But for me i think i had been doomed for that because immediately i laid my foot to the city ground the items and money i had stolen from the village people was snatched by a gang of street boys who had daggers and so i let go the money for my life and even gave them my clothes before they came close to me..
Troubles had started and I wondered if i was doomed for life.I went round the city loitering finding a place i could sleep because i was so exhausted after a long journey and troubles in the village.
I entered all hotels asking if there was any work even if it was washing the toilets ,washing the dishes or even peeling potatoes in the kitchen.I got no vacant for a job and was still wondering when the night comes where will i sleep. The day continued and the night finally got in .I cried alone at a corridor wondering why i was the only one going through the hard times.I slept thou i was still scared of the street gang who saw me as a threat.
The next day i woked up so early to catch the worm as the early birds do .i knew that survival was for the clever and not for fools in the city and so strengthened my self and said to my self "i have to keep going no matter how hard the challenges".I had no money buh i risked and took "MKOKOTENI" Which every hour you were supposed to pay fifty shillings.I promised the owner that before 5 hours are done i will be there with his money and his "MKOKOTENI".
He advised me that failure to pay the amount of money per hour i would regret taking the "MKOKOTENI".I prayed to God that He may open my paths so atleast i would even have money for food and housing.i admired beautiful homes and cars in the city but i saw my self a failure Wondering how this people had got all this wealth .
I parked the MKOKOTENI and started Evacuating people who were relocating to new homes.Believe you me by 2pm i had money that i couldn't even believe.
I paid the MKOKOTENI guy the fifty per hour and congratulatef me for not letting him down. i even promised him i would come for it the next day .I entered a kiosk ate lunch then went to search for a cheap house . i got one where i slept after a big day in the city ...................TO BE CONTINUED
