'When I was a child, my father used to carry me around on his shoulder. I would laugh every time he run and jump, enjoying the joyful ride. When I was a child, my mother would cook me a meal, enjoying each savory taste on my taste buds. My clans men will train with me, and we will spar to see who can best another. We will drink the special cold tea prepared by my aunt. My eldest brother would call me to ride and hunt after the morning training, while my sister would take me to the garden and made me some flower crowns. My favorite person, my playmate, would always ask me to climb the biggest tree, laughing delightedly, as we raced to he top. Everyday the clan will be filled with joyous laughter and harmonious atmosphere. It was such a very happy times. ' "Hearing your recollections made me envious with your family. I want to experience that too. What would it be like to be loved and be cared for by your parents? To be accepted and grow along with your siblings? How would it feel to have friends you can spar and compete with? It must be nice." 'It truly is a heavenly feeling. Being loved and cared for. Why the long face? Your parents are still alive, as well as your siblings. You can still be with them, you know.' "haaa... Sometimes I felt like you were mocking me." 'I did not!' "There's no such things as blood is thicker than water. Not all can be loved and cared for. I Already experienced reality, thus, I hoped for nothing of such trivial emotions. I am just curious as what it would be like.' 'Meren, If I tell you my aim is revenge against your family- will you hate me?' "Why?" 'Because I Hate them! ' "Oh. I see. It doesn't matter to me, though. I see nothing of its significance. In my opinion, what your Reap is what you sow." '"You- Hahahaha! You sounded so cold and unfeeling right now ! I thought you'd even tell your family about me, hearing my plan to kill them. You seem kind, but in actuality, you are not. You're just someone who sees only in black and white, a very logical and rational one. I like you, kid! So, Let's be friends?" . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 'There are times when you need to be strong and there are times where you need to bend a little to avoid disaster.' The thought suddenly passed Argens' mind, glancing at the dazzling city lights outside the window. His thoughts a little chaotic yet his expression remains blank. Five days from now, He'll leave the colony. He was assigned a triple S class mission. A mission that he needs to accomplish to grasp his final freedom. He'll be able to leave the family. No longer worrying about his possible sudden death due to the family's inheritance. Accomplishing the mission will reap him rewards that will not only save his life but also give him power to live against his fathers' clan. He will have strength and stand on his own. No longer bound by the low born and a bastard status imprinted deep in his soul. The mission is infiltration. He needs to infiltrate a base of rebel. Find Valerian, the instigator and clean up the remaining stains of the federation. According to the higher ups, all he needed to do is gather Intel, Pinpoint the other hidden laboratories and retrieve the researcher who keeps inventing dangerous weapons that are used against the federations. Also, find the anvanced data gathered by the rebel from unexplored territory. The data should not fall into the hands of the Imperial family. Argen adjusted his light brain wrist watched, tapped for a few second before glancing back at the outside. This time, what caught his attention is the triple moon shining from up the sky. The moons emitting an aura that enhance and support the growth of any vegetation of the colony. The light is the source of energy that was absorbed by the spiritual crystals from every mine within the colony. It also improves physical constitution and mental strength when cultivated. Still, not all can absorb the moons essence, thus not all can evolve into a human being with an ability to control and ride Warhead Robots called Mecha. "What made you visit us earlier than your appointed vacation time?" Elurix ask curiously, his tone light. He tapped his hands at the controller of the hover car he is driving., eyes focused infront. "I have a mission. I won't be back until indefinite time." Argen muttered, his tone was dull and emotionless. Just like when he talk about his father and his family. Hearing his dry words, Elurix glanced at him, sighed then nod his head. "I won't ask for the detail, but, be careful. Don't give your father more chance to make it difficult for you." "My father won't be participating this time. He was not authorized to even look at the mission details." Argen explained carefully, he frowned as he remembered how he was humiliated in front of the soldiers by his own father. He was called a bastard and a lowborn with no status, a commoner who is not supposed to be a part of any military organization. But it's fine. To him, Argen, There's no used confronting such a person. You will degenerate and turn into an i***t dealing with such characters. At that time , his father ordered him to access a file. It was an order by the emperor and his father was tasked to gather the information about a star planet billion lightyear away from the imperial capital. However, his father, an admiral and a duke, a part of the royal family is denied access by the federation. He was banned since the data is a top secret file. Only the upper echelon is allowed to such important document. Thus, his father called him and he reported that it cannot be accessed. However, his father got angry, he hit Argen and humiliated him in front of the imperial soldiers. His father knew that although he was young, he already has a very high position inside the federation, thus, assumed that Argen could get him what he needed. Too bad, Argen is quite stubborn and refused to do so. He was beaten black and blue and was told to never comeback at the estate until he got him what he is asking for. Argen left. And it's been 2 years since the last time he set foot on that place. This time, he was given two days to rest at home and to return at an earlier date before the mission. The federation had already made him a new identity and he will start working after his short vacation. This time, he decided to visit his best friend. If he Succeed, he'll return home with glory. But then again, he could also die and never come back. Argen couldn't helped but feel sad. An empty feeling gushing inside his heart along with a longing he never knew he had. Argen felt like he'll miss something very important if he die an early death. Perhaps he's looking for something but unable to find and understand what it was, just like when he was a kid. Argen glanced outside the window again, this time, the car remained silent. However, his thoughts is also empty, he was just like a doll carelessly put at the passenger seat, leaning at the fogged up window. This view made the driving Elurix to feel a little sad, he took a short glanced at Argen, before sighing again. He controlled the hover car with precision, parking it in front of a large three story building. The hover car entered at a very spacious door leading to a very large transparent elevator. It lifted the whole car up the building. The dinging sound as the elevator passed floor after floor broke the silence. Then, it stopped when the number 142 lit up, indicating that they finally arrived at their floor. Elurix drove the hover car inside the unit, he parked it in a large space before pulling the card and disconnecting his light brain. He opened the car, then made his way in with Argen still following behind. Before they reach the door connected to the main room, Elurix said: "Don't be hasty, and don't give up. You'll find it surely. I'm very sure of it." Argen stared at Elurix, his thoughts seeing a younger version of himself telling at the latter his feeling. At that time, he was at his lowest. He told Elurix that he felt like he lost something. Something very precious yet he doesnt know what it was. Elurix back then, said the same thing. Over and over again. He said it every time he would lose focus and start losing his patience. And his words, just like a cure, would calm him down. Perhaps because Elurix sounded so sure and confident, or probably he seemed to believed Argen so strongly, Argen felt that what the other said might be the truth. And even now, he still believed and hope, he'll find what he truly was seeing for.
