GONE TOO SOON

Zari was seated at the gate entrance playing with her fingures waiting for his best friend Levi to arrive so that they could go in together. After a few minutes a black luxurious car made its way in and there he was , Levi. A tall dark handsome man with a short neat hair stepped out smiling childishly. " Don't tell me that you have been seated here waiting for me Zari ," Levi said closing the car door. " Of course , i have to wait for you, asking as if this is the first time you have kept me waiting," Zari replied with a gloomy face wiping dirt from her skirt. Both friends held hands , gave each other a smile and walked in. A group of students were crowded at the public school notice board when Zari and Levi joined them. "What is going on here guys, what are you staring at , let me have a look ," Zari said pushing herself in closer to the notice board. " My bucket list, 1. Name a star 2. Go on a romantic date 3. Watch sunrise and sunset in the same day ," Zari read the words loudly which had caught the attention of the other students. " I can't believe that even in this generation people still write bucket list , oh my God, this is crazy," Idris said. Idris was the classes joker and hustler too. He was known for doing homework for his classmates in exchange for money. He even sold gadgets like laptops, phones, calculators and power banks to the other students. The most hilarious thing about him was that he could not make a complete statement without including God inside. " There is only one person who can write this and put it on the display like this," Zari said looking for his friend Levi. " And who is that if i may ask ," Idris asked. "Who else if not our class weirdo, Nova, " Zari answered with face expressions . "Why do you hate this girl so much ? " Levi asked Zari. " No i don't hate her she is a weirdo . She literally speaks to no one. Or does she talk to you, " Zari replied angrily as she walked faster leaving her friend behind. Zari has always hated Nova because she didn't meant to share her friend Levi with anyone. Two friends walks in ignoring the crowd towards their class. "Hey, Clara , can i have a word with you ," Rio who had always crushed on her called running to catch up with her. " Rio, i have told you so many time to leave me alone, i don't love you , no one in this class is my type," Clara replied angrily. " Wait, Clara i just want you to be my prom date during the execution please, " Rio begged. " I said no, find another date , as for me i have my eyes on someone else , Amara lets go." she said holding her friends hand Amara . Through out the entire day they spend it discussing about the school execution to Eco farm. The awaited day was finally here . Levi's father brought him ti school that day . "Wait son ,are you sure this is what you want son , " his father asked while still seated in the car " I will be fine dad, besides i'm not the only one going for the execution , you don't need to worry, i will call you when i get there , bye love you dad, " he said getting off the car. "Love you too son ," he replied. All senior students had assembled at the assembly ground waiting for the school bus. "Amara , do you think mr Toshi feels the same way as i feel for him ,? " Clara asked her friend curiously. " I think maybe he is avoiding you now because you are still a student , or better still go for Rio, i mean he is handsome too and he likes you " Amara consoled her. "Really now Amara ? i thought you were my friend, i am here telling you how i feel for mr Toshi and you are telling me about Rio, " Clara said angrily. "Okay students, get into the bus and settle down ," teacher Terra said . After the had settled , Mr Toshi realized that one student was missing, Nova. " Has anyone seen Nova students?" he inquired. " Maybe she changed her mind and she doesn't want to be involved in all of this. We all know she doesn't like crowds," Zari mocked. "Zari keep quiet, we will wait for 5 more minutes , if she doesn't show up , we leave okay ," Madam Terra confirmed. "There she comes , your majesty, keeping us waiting for her, " Clara said pointing at Nova who was dragging her briefcase to get in the bus . " Nova settle down quickly, we have to leave." Mr Toshi instructed. " Nova why are you not seated yet Eco farm is far away from here , we have to get there on time , settle down please, " Madam terra instructed. "Mh sorry, madam Nova and Clara are fighting for who will sit next to Levi, " Clara said as the other students busted into laughter. They finally got to the famous Eco farm. "Okay, students, here we are , behave yourselves ", Mr Toshi said opening the door for the students. They stepped down one by one running into different directions cheering happily. Others were chasing each other while others were taking photos of the beautiful farm. That evening the teachers divided the students in 3 groups. Group a, b, and c. "Good morning everyone, good morning everyone, " Levi was walking around the compound shouting . " Levi, go back and sleep its very early for you to wake up , " Mr Toshi said. By now every student was up , sleepy and confused . " Its Rio's birthday," Levi whispered to Mr Toshi"s ear. Levi took out a bucket full of water and poured it to Rio, "Happy birthday man," he said . "That is so sweet of you , Thank you Levi ," Rio said moving outside to hug Levi. The other students cheered and clapped singing happy birthday song to Rio. "Come on students, its time for your morning run, change quickly and meet me at our normal assembly ground. "So our today's research will be focused on the banana plantations. Make sure to do as much research as possible , remember that the points you score will be added to your final year exams . Are we together ?" Mr Toshi asked. "Yes sir !" they replied in unison. They were then released to go and do their research. " Nova , why do you like doing things alone , don't you get bored ?" Levi asked her. "Leave me alone , i don't want to talk to you ," Nova replied turning a new page from his novel. " Has anyone ever told you that you have a sweet smile, " " Levi can you stop flattering with me, i know that you like putting a smile in peoples face and believe me i am proud of you , " she said. " Proud ? did you say are proud of me ? Everyone come and see , Nova said she is proud of me," Levi shouted loudly waving his hands on the air. " Stop that you are embarrassing me Levi ," she said. '' friends now ?" he asked stretching his hand to shake her hand. " Friends," she replied .
