Chapter 3

A few days had passed after the incident and Sirahi thought twice about filing a police report. Sandra wanted to so that they had a police record but Sirahi, for as famous as she was, didn't want to bring any other things other than her singing into the spotlight. They went ahead and did, adding that her home had been broken into and that something had been stolen. Other than that, she couldn't do anything more. Her manager wanted to add more guards to her home but Sirahi wouldn't allow it, she could take care of herself and she wanted no more prying eyes into her personal life if she didn't need it. She was still a Source member damn it and it was enough she had a security guard station in front of her home. Her very decent and large home was comfy and welcoming, only the land being big which gave her the peace and quiet she needed but may have given her intruder the thing they needed if they wanted to break into her home. She wouldn't let that scare her nor deter her from continuing to make music and until she was either getting threatened by the man or dead, she couldn't do much unless she could identify the person. So with her keys in hand and a call to her manager, she told her friend that she was in need of shopping. She loved shiny things and pearls were her weakness. Her affinity for shiny jewelry and princess like adoration most likely came from her being a Siren and she knew her family was almost the same. She enjoyed shopping for her jewels and had that intent when she wore shorts, a cropped hem oversized sweater, and another baseball cap and went with not her manager, but her friend Sandra. *** Shopping had relieved something inside of Sirahi and though she was happy enough to have gotten half a dozen different sets of necklaces and earrings, she was planning on giving it to her mom and three other sisters when she went to visit them. Before going back home, Sandra and her had left business out and talked about her stalker and other random things. Though Sandra was stern about her position as her manager, she was a great listener and friend. She told her how her feelings were a bit mixed up while she went through her spiritual period and that her emotions were basically gay wired but getting out and pretending like she was normal was always a welcome. Another hour later as they paid and was getting ready to leave, Sirahi heard the strumming of a guitar and new the chords immediately as an acoustic version of her new single, Summer's Lover. She gave a look to Sandra and then to the small crowd as what it looked like a young girl was playing. She played the notes wonderfully and was doing a fine, practiced job of playing and singing. Sirahi was just awed by the young girl's talent and had made eye contact with her when she accidentally hit the wrong chord and her voice cracked a bit. She probably thought she was seeing things when a smile broke across her face and Sirahi smiled back. "Fine, go. I'm already calling Jake." Sandra whispered and Sirahi smiled as she took a step forward to sing the lyrics. The teenager stepped aside so she can have the mic that was plugged into speakers and she sang in a soft tone to match the guitar chords and the teenager was obviously in awe before trying to continue playing. Sirahi sang as she would any performance and she could see the crowd growing and Sandra taking a video. There were whispers as onlookers were trying to figure out who she was and fingers were pointing as more cameras came out. Somewhere along the singing, her bodyguards were at the scene and standing back as to make sure that nothing got out of hand. They both sang and shared the mic as the crowd grew. And when the song had ended, the crowd was growing ever more and Sirahi turned to the teen As they both bowed. She was speechless as she looked at her, and she smiled at her as she said, "You play very well. Keep up the good and work and one day you'll be better than me." She told the teenager as her parents came up to her. The young woman looked as if she was about to cry as she thanked her. She was getting ready to leave the scene before more fans caught wind that she was indeed the real singer when Sirahi's senses picked up a chill and the feeling of being watched hit her. A dread hit the pit of her stomach and it rolled up to her throat as if the air was knocked out of her. She glanced briefly to the eyes that watched her but it was something different. That's when the next set of emotions hit her and she wasn't ready for it when her heart beat doubled and she had a sort of tunnel vision. Something inside her chest had almost clicked and she felt right. Somehow everything was alright and she was whole. A feeling she had never experienced before filled her chest and she was freaked the f**k out as she glanced around her surroundings as her legs took her into the crowd.  She could hear both her stage name and real name briefly before she came back into her own body and she was being shuffled away by her guards into a vehicle that was hers. She couldn't recall what was happening until she was left with the quiet and everything snapped back into place and Sandra was calling her name. She didn't realize she was breathing heavily until her friend said, "What the f**k just happened right there?" "What?" Sirahi answered her and Sandra was shaking her head. "You look like you just took a trip to f*****g Euphoria without me. You're not doing stuff are you?" Sandra asked with a slight concerned tone. She was trying to catch her bearing as she tried to wrap the sudden loneliness in her heart as she shook her head. "I don't know, something just came over me, I don't know how to explain it. But I think someone was reaching their hand out to me." Sirahi explained and Sandra was shaking her head as they had already pulled into traffic. "You don't think it's the stalker do you?" She shook her head again. "I thought at first it was them but then my chest filled up like I was glad to see someone and relief but I don't know. These spiritual periods always mess me up. They're getting worse every year." She told her friend and Sandra nodded as if she was trying to understand. "Is that normal for...for you guys?" She asked referring to her species. "I don't know. Maybe? But all I know is I don't want to feel that again. It was so surreal." She explained but she couldn't tell her friend the truth. She outright lied to her but she wanted to feel that wholeness again. Something inside her soul had felt whole and she was so sure of it, this wasn't a feeling her stalker could have given her. It was almost as if she was a full fledged person and she never knew she was missing it until now.
