Chapter 8

Sirahi already knew that evening that the Wolf would be back and she had already been waiting for him since ten. By eleven, he was at her back door once more and she had to do a double take when she found him in his Wolf form suddenly appear as if from thin air. He was huge as expected and his blue eyes were shining from the light as if they were glowing in the dark. She couldn't tell what color his coat was and once he stepped into the darkness of her back door, she could see a mix of white and brown fur. Opening her back door, she let him in as he walked into her living room and sniffed the air before walking up to her and nudging his nose into her side. Sirahi out of instinct nuzzled his head before stopping herself and reminding her who he was. When she was near him, she couldn't stop the overwhelming feeling of belonging and she didn't want it. She didn't want it to happen when it was feeling so right. "Stop. We need to talk." She told him and he looked at her as if he understood what she had just said and she knew that he did. He was a person as well as being a shifter. She watched with a stunned look as he shifted before her eyes and she took a step back as the fur had disappeared and his Wolf was becoming smaller in size to accommodate his human form. He was still an impressive size compared to any other human when he stood next to her in all his naked glory at six foot four. Sirahi had to remember to breathe and she looked away taking another step back as she looked in his blue eyes. "What are you doing here?" She asked him and he blinked at her as he said, "We need to talk." She shook her head at him as she tossed a throw she had laying on her couch and he took it and wrapped it around his waist. He should have looked ridiculous with the light furry throw but if anything it brought out his muscles and slight tan even more. If she wasn't so annoyed, she would have jumped his bones. "There's nothing I need to say to you." She said walking away, trying to keep her mind occupied as she tried to put some distance between the both of them and his naked, very delectable flesh. "You're kidding me right?" He asked her and she caught the slight undertone of an accent but couldn't distinguish what. "You're my mate as I am yours. There's much to talk about. For instance your name. Is it not Ayra?" He asked. Sirahi put the distance of her dining table between them and threw one arm over the other. "That's my stage name." She said. "My real name is Sirahi." He repeated her name back to her as if testing the letters on his tongue and rolling the 'r.' She almost shivered from hearing him say her name but inadvertently stopped herself. "Jamis. Now that I have found you, we must go back to my home and complete the mating ritual." He said and Sirahi laughed. "Woah there cowboy. I don't know you like that and quite frankly I'm not going anywhere with you. I don't plan on finishing any ritual." She said as she bounced from one foot to another shifting her weight. She could see a tic in his jaw and hoped he would give up and go home but she knew males to be stubborn. Especially animal like Source members. "It doesn't matter. You're my mate." He said taking a step towards her and she had to stop herself from running. "No nononono. Take another step and I'll make you bleed from every orifice you have." She threatened and he stopped. Was it possible she could do that, most likely not but he didn't know that. "You can't come rushing into my home and threatening to take me. I won't allow you. I'm not one of your she wolves." She told him and still he looked unconvinced. "If you think I'll just do what you say, you have another thing coming to you." "You're being unreasonable." He said through clenched teeth and she could see the veins in his arms twitching as if he wanted to do something. For all she knew he was dangerous and would do exactly what he came here for. She knew absolutely nothing about him as the same could be said about her. She understood that they were mates, they needed each other but why the hell did it happen so soon. "I'm not going anywhere." She told him with the most firm tone she could manage. He still didn't look convinced as he took a predatory step towards her and she held her ground when everything inside her wanted to take a step back. He dropped the blanket that was around his waist and though she was momentarily taken aback at his naked beauty. The muscles and veins that twisted and corded underneath his wonderful body, she was surprised when he had her over his shoulder. He was walking and holding both her legs together so she couldn't kick him where it counted and pounded on his hard toned back. "What the hell are you doing?" She screeched at him. "You can't take me anywhere! You're naked for crying out loud!" She tried to kick at pounded on him. To the point she dug her nails into his back and drew little bits of blood from her neatly manicured nails. "Careful there mate, that only turns me on more." He growled as he laughed and placed a pat to her behind. Sirahi was trying her best to stop him and when he made it outside, past her newly fixed glass door, something overcame her as a panic settled. "You'll never make it to where you're going. This is L.A. You'll be arrested before we get anywhere. Not because you're naked, but because this is kidnapping." She said as he kept walking until he stopped yet he didn't let her down. "That's why I have my ways." He said before a whoosh surrounded them and before her what looked like an opening in the world magically opened before her. A man with long blonde hair and green eyes, and dark clothes stared at the both of them before shaking his head. "You know Randolph, I didn't expect you as the type to have to force women to go anywhere with you." He said as if he knew Jamis and the fact that he wasn't caring about his nudity made her wonder how they knew one another. For all she knew, he could be part of some weird cult within the Source. Or Enforcer. Then she was really screwed. Jamis took the step forward and they both entered the portal and she could have vomited from the trip she took when everything that she knew literally turned upside down, side to side, and upright to a different place that was no longer her home.
