Fiancée

“A village?” I was sitting in Caleb's lap now in the office, he was sitting in the leather armchair, and I nodded, that was exactly what I meant, we would need it, we had families here, would they live in a room? How would that work? Not everyone had just one child, I wanted more children down the line myself, we needed to give the pack room to grow.

“You are going to have as many children as possible your heart desires Luna…” he caressed my back and down to my butt, I shivered and looked at him where he sat and looked like he had no problem with us having a hundred children together.

“a hundred maybe is to take in but maybe three four?” He said it more seriously when I nodded, it sounded more realistic and reasonable. I smiled and kissed him softly and then deeper, so we had each other's fingers in each other's hair as it knocked on the door and I was ready to tell them to go before I realized it was Brad and pulled me away from Caleb's lips to his grumpiness and I pulled the comforting hand over his mouth where I had smeared my lipstick on him, he was so cute when he was frowning.

“Cute? I’ll show you just how cute I am later Luna…” he caressed my thigh when I gasped and looked at him angrily when Brad just stepped in the door and he had probably seen me react to Caleb's touch and I slapped him lightly on the arm pissed that he could not keep our hands in check, we were in the office, not in the bedroom.

“I don’t care Luna, you know that you are mine.” he said that and looked at Brad who was standing there looking at us amused, as if he understood that I was arguing with my mate when we were both silent and I looked angry.

“Beta Brad.” I said it warmly as he bowed his head and I smiled more as he stood looking at us as I sat on Caleb's lap with my arm around his neck, we were not a typical Alpha couple I had understood, most were arranging marriages without bond which made me sad to know that someone had to live without their mate just because of politics.

“Alpha, Luna.” He looked at us more and I turned my head towards Caleb, would he say something or? He looked at me quickly and back at Brad, he did not smile at all, just had that serious look that I know that he was in business mode, the Alpha speaking towards his pack member and subjects.

“The Luna has made me realize that you can be of benefit to me Beta Brad, as I understand it, you have been alpha Victor's first beta for several years, before he became the main alpha, so my question is not if you have the experience to take such a place in my pack, more if you are loyal to me or Victor?” I was looking at Brad now, that was the question, he felt like he was involved in everything wholeheartedly, but nothing was certain.

“I will be honest with you both, because you still chose to save me from an obvious death, I know everything, about you, what happened and why everyone hates you.” He said it as if it was nothing and stood cocky with his arms crossed when I looked at him suspiciously, what did everything mean?

“Explain.” Caleb changed position so I ended up closer and I had my hand on my belly protective and looked thoughtfully at the mysterious beta that watched us now with eyes older than nineteen years, just like Caleb, it was kind of creepy if you asked me growing up in the human world, this was not normal where I was from.

“I know that you met at my wedding with Melody and that you dumped your fiancée that night Alpha.” he looked at him amused as if he would do the same thing if he had seen Kate when he was going to marry Melody and I looked shocked at Caleb now who looked like he wanted to be anywhere except in front of me trying to blow up from the anger that’s was burning inside of me.

“fiancée!? I said it out loud and upset, we had soon been together for six months and this was the first f*****g time I had heard a word about him having a fiancée, not one word!

“Calm down Luna.” He said it cohesively when I opened my eyes, he would see just how calm I was later! I turned my head away and swallowed all the anger, Brad looked confused as if he had not understood that he had revealed something I did not know, apparently, I was never going to find out!

“I apologize Alpha, I had no idea the Luna did not know about Kayla.” He said it apologetically when I gritted my teeth, Kayla? Why did I recognize that name…? I thought for a few seconds before it popped into my head, Kayla Young! I stared at him now angry again, that was the name Terrence had mentioned the same night we had arrived and had already marked and had s*x with me the first time! I stood up now too angry to even look at him, he had had a f*****g fiancée before me, swine!

“I love you Cay, but I'm going to kill you!” I had golden green eyes now, I was so pissed that he had hidden this from me, what more what I did not know about? A couple of children maybe that he had not told me about hidden away with some Beta girls that he had been sleeping with before me!?

“Stop that Luna, I did not tell you because it did not matter, she did not matter anymore since I saw you, and the only child I have is the one you are carrying.” his eyes were yellow now and I inhaled faster, I would find her and I would kill her, tear off her sweet face from her head, straight off! I growled loudly now so all the beta moved anxiously, even Brad who looked at me expectantly, waiting for what would happen, as he knew what I was, an alpha.

“Baby, you know I just love you.” Caleb changed tactics and I knew it when I turned around and looked at him with my hands on my hips and he had peeled off every layer of alpha that was there and looked at me charming now with his perfect smile that went straight through me, Caleb from the cabin, he always won over me, and I gave up and blinked when my eyes were blue again.

“Come back to me baby…” he said it was tempting when I sighed and went back and sat on his lap and lay down on his chest and closed my eyes for a few seconds, listened to his heartbeat that calmed me down, made me not be so angry anymore and I opened my eyes again and smiled at him as one of his arms held me up and the other caressed my cheek, I was completely at peace again.

“Continue beta Brad, explain what you know about us?” I listened to Caleb's deep voice and sighed happily that he was mine, just mine and if I saw that Kayla then… I didn’t get any further he told me to be quiet via the link and I obeyed.

“I know that the Luna is an alpha, a born alpha, I know that you are not cousins and that she comes from the extinct pack.” I stared at him, that was a lot for a beta to know about from another pack, even though he was the first beta.

“How?” I was the one who said it when Caleb saw tense, he wondered how many people knew about it and if it was worth the risk to let Brad live if he knew about the secret, I stopped him at once, no one would die today.

“Melody, Alpha Victor and some I have put together myself since I came here.” He said it proudly and gave us a dazzling smile, he really looked like a surfer now, tanned, sun-bleached hair and angular features that made his otherwise sweet look make him look even more innocent.

“Melody knows, but she screamed about inbreeding just yesterday?” I said the question when he shrugged, she didn’t know, I was relieved for some reason.

“She does not know, otherwise she would have used it against me, she's not stupid, she's still Terrence's daughter.” Caleb said it thoughtfully when I nodded, that was enough.

“I can tell you, so you do not have to guess who knows what?” I looked amused at the cocky young man, I liked him, he did not seem to apologize for anything even though he was respectful, but it was not my decision what would happen, it was Calebs, he was alpha, not me.

He looked at me and back at the young beta that watched us back calmly as he waited for an answer from one of us.

“I don’t know Luna…” he said it in the link and caressed my hair where I lay on his chest and looked at the expected Beta, I don’t know why but I trusted him, but then I had been wrong before, but it was before I knew everything, it was not like then now.

“You mean by another beta… who wants to kidnap you?” he said it darker linking me and I nodded, just like that.

“Please Brad, please tell me what you know, I choose to trust you to keep my secret.” I said it without waiting for Caleb now, we had to do something, and Brad suddenly nodded seriously and came forward and sat down in one of the chairs in front of the desk and put his arms on it and stared at us with the serious gray eyes.

“Alpha, you're wondering if I'm loyal.” He said it seriously when Caleb nodded, that was the problem, we had poor confidence in the betas overall, the only ones that was above that was Mark and Tony, after what happened.

“My last first beta, my brother….” Caleb still didn’t believe that part even if I told him and gritted his teeth at the word brother, because that’s what Kyle had been to him, blood or not, a brother more than Beta.

“He has promised to kidnap Emilia and force her to have a child with him.” I looked down ashamed and I did not know why then Brad was shocked for the first few seconds and then became serious again, right now there was no trace left of the cheerful surfer left in him.

“Kyle? That's his name, right?” I got up a bit and nodded, Kyle… I was missing Kyle, not this weird version he was nowadays when he thought he was Styn, but beta Kyle who has been my friend, my brother for short time… I sighed and looked at Caleb, he also did, though he hated him with all his might these days.

“I've seen him, he's been visiting a couple of times, met Melody, tried to talk to Alpha Victor without success.” Beta Brad was still standing up, he looked restless like he wanted to get out there and find Kyle, he was really feeling the pack bond and fast, bounded by blood more then just words when we took him in.

Caleb was leaning forward now, he had already scolded orders to Mark and Tony to get ready as I was extremely disappointed in my sister-in-law who had chosen to hide the only man we wanted to get hold of, she really hate us, even before we took Brad away it seems… but I didn’t make any sense, she was happy when I meet her, she did like me I know she did, or was I stupid enough not to have seen it before, her disliking of me?

“Alpha, he is not there now, it will be unsuccessful to chase him, he seems to have contacts in addition to our own alliances, including Alpha Victors.” Brad looked seriously at Caleb who was staring at him for a few seconds before he suddenly leaned back again and sighed heavily and upset, if he got hold of Kyle it would be a huge burden from his shoulders and I knew it too.

“I swear Alpha that I will not let him take my Luna, I may only have been here one day, but you have shown your kindness and loyalty to me already, to my mate, I am well aware that not all packs would accept a Delta elevated to Beta, not even if the bond existed.” He said it gratefully when I smiled back, I knew the goddess had ruled us right now that he was loyal because of Kate, maybe not just her, but a big part.

“Don't thank me, thank the Luna, she is the one who reshaped everything in this pack, you have met me before beta, you know that I was not like this… open for change before her, all you see around here is her doing, not mine.” He squeezed my leg again when I smiled, he was too hard on himself, he had changed so much, not only because of me but I still couldn’t help but giggle at his word, he sure was more boring back then.

“Did you know he just called me Luna, from when we bonded, and he was an arrogant bastard that just wanted me to submit, not the most romantic way to get your mate to like you…” I giggled again at his frown, the pissed Alpha who’s lap I was still sitting on, all while Beta Brad made small twitches in his mouth trying not to laugh at his Alphas expanse looking more pissed off by the minute.

“That was one day, Mila, one day, you don’t remember then when we came to the cottage and… I put my hand over his mouth now and stopped him, he wanted revenge because I had called him boring, I got that.

“Beta Brad, are you interested in the first place, or do we have to look further?” I said it more seriously as Caleb squeezed my thigh again and I swallowed hard from the shocks that went through me trying not to moan, he knew what he was doing that cunning bastard.

He said nothing for the first thirty seconds, and I discreetly slid his hand away from my thigh before this became really dangerous and I couldn’t control my urges anymore.

“I accept, on the condition that I have time with my own mate, we want to get married soon.” I shone up and ignored Caleb completely now, it was amazing!

“Absolutely!” I replied before even Caleb had opened his mouth and I knew he would be even more angry now, he was alpha, not me.

“What my mate means is that we accept your terms Beta, on my own that you report everything you learned during the time with Victor, about Kyle, my Luna’s well-being is of the most important degree, you know the bond, you know exactly how far I is willing to go to make sure he does not get his hands on her.”

They nodded to each other, and I was silent now, the thought of Kyles hands on me, I shuddered and felt bad, no one was allowed to touch me except my alpha, no one.

“I understand alpha.” He bowed his head and I smiled now, screw Kyle right now, there was a time to worry about him, and now I wanted to know more about their marriage.

“When where how? I need details Beta Brad, about yours and Beta Kates Wedding, I want to help, in the way I can of course….” I tried to look innocent when Caleb just huffed, he already knew I was going to take over, everything, with the help of Delta Vivian, I was a force to reckon with these days.

“a second marriage, that fast Beta?” Caleb looked mischievously at his new first beta which smiled back charmingly, as if Caleb did not understand, he understood everything, better than most, I sighed, one day maybe we could get married.

“Soon enough Luna, that day is coming, I promise.” His voice was warm in my head as I turned and looked into his beautiful dark gray eyes, I really hoped so.

“I'm going to talk to Delta Vivian, I guess you want the wedding in the near future? I smiled radiantly at the beta now, if I could not have my own wedding, I could at least enjoy someone else's.

“That's true Luna, but if it's too much trouble, we'll just go down to court and do it, quick and easy, Kate is fine with it.”

I stared at him like he was crazy, he might have gotten married once and did not think it mattered, but Kate? Would she settle for that? I wouldn’t have, no freaking way would I be okay with that arrangement, I gave Caleb a hard stare even if he heard me say it a hundred of times and just smiled at me, he wasn’t just going to take me to the courthouse, I knew that.

“Do not worry about the details Beta Brad, I know the Luna, she has already planned half your wedding in her head already, and talked to delta Vivian… Caleb looked dull at me when I nodded secretly, he was right about that part, he did know me.”

“Sincere thanks from me, and my future wife.” He bowed his head again and I nodded back briefly, Caleb just looked at him with a faint smile.

“That would be all Beta.” He dismissed him quickly as I smiled as Brad disappeared out the doors and I was on my way away to pick up my iPad as he put his arm around me, made me sit back on his lap and I looked surprised at his face which was sad and longing at the same time now that we were alone.

“One day baby, I promise, we'll get married, I know how much it takes you that we can’t, even if you don’t show it…” his hand was on my cheek now that I smiled faintly, I had been caught up in my own enthusiasm for Brad and Kate's wedding that I forgot for two seconds how much he wanted this, just as much as me.

“I know Cay.” I just said it sadly and leaned further towards him, we had nothing to celebrate anymore it felt like.

“You are an amazing Luna, how could I be with anyone but you? you are the best mother for this whole pack an alpha can wish for, you are my everything, this packs everything, and they know it just as much as me, you are the lifeforce in this pack, make no mistake about that.”

I dug deeper into his arms, he was my everything, nothing could change it, not that we were not allowed to get married, not that Kyle was trying to get hold of me, or that he had killed Terrence, the two of us was all I needed in the end, against the whole world.

“And little alpha.” He said it warmly with his hand on my belly, little alpha too. I looked at him loving, no one who did not have the bond, they would never understand how deep it went, I could not be without him, never ever.

I kissed him deeply and then pulled myself up with his help and walked towards the iPad.

I had a wedding to plan.
