I saw them already in the dining aera when I came down.

Caleb was asleep and I let him sleep when I had put on a blue soft dress, it was cool with short sleeves and I looked even more pregnant in it when I went to the table where Brad and Katlynn were sitting. They both watched in amazement as I sat down on their short side of the table and before they had time to say anything, Delta Vivian was there, waiting for me and staring at the new couple we had in the house, she looked neutral as usual when I smiled at her, she was here to monitor me and I already knew that.

“Bacon, lots of it and biscuits.” I said almost begging at the end when she gave a short sigh and nodded before she left, and I was left with the still surprised couple on the sides of me where they sat opposite each other.

”so, Beta Brad, Beta Katlynn. Has anyone talked to you about switching quarters?” I guess you do not want separate bedrooms now that are mated?” I tried not to smile as silly as I felt right now, but I was happy, how it had worked out, they were together and we escaped more suffering in this house, there had been too much already for so many years, I wanted more of this, bringing some light into these dark old wooden walls.

“Actually Luna Emilia…” Brad said something but was immediately scolded by the link of his mate who looked stern at him as they have been together for ten years and not a day, I did not listen to it, I respected the privacy of others, they came to me anyway and I do not want anyone to listen to me and Caleb.

“That would be amazingly generous of you Luna.” She bowed her head deeply and blushed showing the bite mark on her neck, I smiled to myself, twenty minutes. my bacon came, with salad, no biscuits and I found Delta Vivian’s face and frowned at her that she ignored like the old bat she was, freaking prison guard.

“Perfect, I'll talk to delta Vivian about it.” I picked up my fork and ate bacon quickly, I ignored etiquette and the salad when then both smiled at me, I felt that Brad wanted to say something when I looked at him and finished chewing.

“Beta Brad?” I said it amused when he hesitated now because she looked at his female who was shaking her head now, told him not to push it anymore and now I really wanted to know what he wanted to tell me.

“Baby, the Luna should know…” he said it lovingly when I smiled at his affection, baby? Caleb had just called me Luna when we met, romantic like a rock… I sighed at it and looked at them again curious about what was so important.

“It's Katherine Luna Emilia….” He said it quickly and I looked at him and then her when she looked like she wanted to die of shame, and he was happy to say that her real name when I nodded and ate more bacon from the plate.

“Beta Katherine, I'm sorry, I've only talked to you a couple of times, I'm going to get better.” I smiled and chewed as she looked at Brad angrily now as if he had done something wrong by correcting me, but I wasn’t, I found it more entertaining that they were so close already after a night together, the bond was strong between them.

“Just Kate, Luna Emilia, everyone calls me that. she said weakly when I nodded, Kate.”

“Luna Emilia, I know I was angry yesterday, but I wanted to say thank you for letting me join your pack, I understand that alpha Victor had intended to kill me otherwise.” He said it quieter when I sighed and put down the fork when Kate looked devastated, that was the truth.

“I'm afraid it was so Beta Brad, Alpha Victor was quite open that he had thought it several times, Melody is his mate, she did not know about it, neither do you I guess…” He looked at me like he had a bad conscience that he had already moved on from Melody, they had been married and in love, and now she was nothing, I understood.

can I be honest with you Luna Emilia? He said it like it wasn’t my job, my role to listen to their problems and I nodded seriously as he sighed and looked at me with the light gray eyes that seemed to know more than I had thought before.

“I knew about it.” he just said it straight out and I looked surprised at the blonde beta, he had known about it? I picked up my fork and ate more, exciting… Kate already seemed to know everything, like it had spent all night having s*x and talking about her life, not like me and Caleb, talking about our expectations of each other's roles and that we wanted kids… but we were alpha and Luna, it was different.

“How could I not know about it? she did not even want me to mark her, not like with Kate who showed it at once…” he stopped when she looked at him ashamed that there was something wrong with it happening fast, I was happy for them.

“it's okay Beta Brad… me and Alpha Caleb were almost as fast, it's completely natural when the bond is formed that you want to be with your mate, it's still a gift from the moon goddess.” I smiled wider as they both looked a little lighter and I leaned back and put my hand on my stomach and looked at them and smiled meant when Kate's face was red again and I laughed at her embarrassment, she was a sweetheart for sure.

“I know I loved her, and now it's gone, everything.” he said it still as surprised when I shrugged, it was probably part of the blessing on the other side, the one that was left behind was suffering and he was not, not even one hint of missing his wife he left behind yesterday.

“She will feel the same way Beta Brad, when she's eighteen, I guess you're around the same age as me?” he nodded and quickly replied that he was nineteen years old, that was quick to get married, especially but someone who was not even your real mate, it had Terrence written all over it, I just knew it, he was a cunning bastard.

“Baby you didn’t say you were nineteen?” Kate looked a little embarrassed again when I did not say anything and he replied with a smile that would make her melt down on the floor, which she already did when she stared stupidly at him where they sat opposite each other.

“I am, what does it matter, I know you're the only one for me, if you happen to be older, 23 is not that far apart?” He said that and still smiled as she nodded as if she accepted it, I did not understand at all why it would matter if they had the bond.

“Alpha Caleb is twenty and I'm eighteen, I do not see the problem Beta Kate? ”I ate more, my plate was soon empty when she blushed again and looked at me as if she really did not understand why she thought it was embarrassing.

“But I'm the female, I shouldn’t be the older one…” she was making a suffering voice now when I broke out in laughter with Brad, he really looked like a surfer sitting next to his mate that was more down to earth in her brown hair and eyes.

 he had been the first beta after Alpha Victor, I should bring it up with Caleb later, he could probably do more good further up the line then just be a another fighter, he had a strong aura, made people look and listen at him, I could already tell that his mate wouldn’t stand a chance against that charm of his.

“You could have been thirty-three years old baby, I still love you.” he said it pleased and took her hand in his and kissed it, I looked at them both, I was so glad they had each other, the moon goddess had helped them find each other.

“I’ll won’t disturb you anymore, I'm just so glad we got to receive you Beta Brad, I hope you enjoy us, even though we have a bad reputation as it seems among the other packs…” I said the last part bitter; I do not know how much was heard when he looked at me now and snorted as if he did not care a bit, his life was here now, his whole world sat in front of him.

“I will always be loyal to alpha Caleb and yourself Luna, because you helped spare me, and because I found my mate. I swear I'm going to do anything to help this pack, no matter what way you ask me.” his eyes were so serious for a nineteen-year-old, a common trait for the higher alpha and beta I had noticed, they had no time to be youthful as the world lay on their shoulders.

“Don’t you worry about the pack right now beta Brad, enjoy your mate, there will be time to worry in the future about everything else.” I smiled kindly at them both and stood up slowly and awkwardly as I waved away their request to help me up, I pregnant not dying.

“Not that long left Luna Emilia?” Kate looked at me with a certain envy, like I didn’t already know that she would soon be in my position herself, I wasn’t even going to be surprised if it was next moon cycle.

“Six weeks, our little alpha is welcome to come, when I'm done with this pregnancy, I'll keep Alpha Caleb away with a stick.” I laughed and they looked at each other and sniggered, they knew it would never happen, they could barely tear themselves apart, and it did not get better with time.

“I long for it, thinking of having my own child…” she said it blushing to her mate who smiled wider, and I rolled my eyes, a month, I gave them a month before it happened.

“I'm here to make all your wishes come true baby…” I left before they continued and looked at Delta Vivian, told her she would arrange a room for them, one of the apartments that was in the house, it was huge I had understood as there were several floors both up and down in the ground, I suspected that they would not be enough we would need more rooms soon and I did not know why but my gut feeling was telling me that.
