Amir watched Sarah as she gulped and saw how the nervousness took over. He knew that he had an impact on people upon first meeting him, but at this moment he sorts of wished she acted a little different. He was still holding her hand when she answered "I am Sarah Bayou, nice to meet you, Mr. Saab"

"Call me Amir, since we will be working together"

"Working together?"

All of a sudden, all trace of nervousness was gone as soon as Sarah heard the word working together. "I don't think so," said Colin "I must remind you that Sarah is my employee and you can't decide she will work for you without telling me about what kind of work you are talking about and without my authorization. I only made her come to my office so that I could officially introduce you, even though you already met them at the banquet" continued on Colin.

"We didn't meet him the banquet" whispered Anna to Sarah.

Amir turned toward Colin and responded "We did talk about it just now"

"No, we did not, and it's not wise to just throw it into her face that she will be working for you without as much has asked for her opinion, and where please do tell she will be working for you"

"Sarah will be coming back to Syria with me"

As soon as Amir utters those words, quietness fell into the room that not even a fly passing by could be heard. Sarah thought she heard wrong "excuse me, where did you say I would go"

Half turning to look at her, Amir responded "you will be coming to Syria with me. I need a journalist that can cover the war over there and tell the story as it is. I understand that you are also a novice in photography; this will be the perfect opportunity to exercise your skills. You will be surprised to know that war pictures are worth millions."

"And who are you to decide what I need and should do," said Sarah with an edge in her voice. Anyone close to Sarah knew that once she takes that tone, it was better to tread lightly. Unfortunately for Amir, he did not know, instead he was a little taken back by her response.

Raising his eyes brow, Amir looked at the curvy 5'4 woman standing in front of him with a look that tells him, please do dare to repeat what you just said, for as sure as hell didn't hear correctly. All trace of nervousness was gone; standing in front of him was a woman who to his opinion was trying to keep her anger in check. He had seen man tremble at his words; it was the first time someone dares to respond, back to him. He wonders if she would explode if he pretended to ignore her. He turned to Colin who had this pissed look on his face "I know this is short notice, but Sarah paper works will be ready by this afternoon so that we can leave first thing in the morning"

Colin was furious, no he was livid and for this once he imagined himself slitting the throat of his best friend of a monster. Unfortunately, he did not have the opportunity for at this very moment for the very first time since he has known her, he saw Sarah angry. She was not scary but she was beautiful.

"I don't know who in the world you think you are" Said Sarah "you have no damn right to come in here to disrespect number one my boss and take a decision in my stead. s*****y has been abolished years and years ago which gives you no right, and I said no right for you to decide in my stead and without my proper authorization. You think the fact that you're wearing a fancy costume, looking like a damn model with this authority's aura of yours, can command me to do your bidding. Learn this; I don't take orders from no one. Well only from GOD. If you do wish to have my talent at your disposition, I would suggest that you sit down with Colin and discussed the terms of this... whatever it is called. Then you will nicely come to me and request my services. I will decide if I want to or not"

Quietness reigns in the room after Sarah's explosion. Amir was impressed and felt like the earth had just opened up and swallowed him. At the same time, he was livid, no one has ever dared to talk to him that way and to top it, Sarah looked to Colin and said "Next time Colin, please educate your friend on how to be polite, I do believe he deserves a lesson on how to address people" with that said, she turned around and left the office with a stun Anna following behind her.

Guillermo and Colin stood there flabbergasted, for the very first time, they've witnessed someone let alone a woman who put Amir in his spot. Whenever Amir spoke, people would bow at his words. Not even Carla Brown could escape from his commanding aura. He was the definition of a commando. In their little trio, Amir was ruthless; together they formed a force to be reckoned with. But to see a woman put Amir in his place was no joke. Now that Guillermo thought about it, upon the arrival of the woman in the room, Colin had also let his guard down. He turned to look at Colin who had this satisfied smirk on his lips. Many questions were going through his head but he knew that he'll get his answer in due time.

A war was raging inside of Amir, no one and he met no one has ever disrespected him that way, but instead of feeling anger, he felt this heat traveled from his head to his toes, a feeling that he had never experience before. Something within him awaking and the beast within him was grinning, a devilish grin. His dominant side was already seen Sarah has a challenge, someone he needed to conquer and bring down to her knees until she begs.

When he turned to look at his friend, they were shocked to see his expression which was that of hungry man, a look they all have seen "I want her Colin, and do whatever you have to do to get her in that plane tomorrow or else I will resort into a more different approach"

"Why her? "Ask Colin

"I don't know" answered truthfully Amir, to his friend, he could be honest with them "She is different and the moment I laid my eyes on her, something within me snap. I just need to explore this feeling that she has evoked in me. When I am done, I will send her back to you"

"She is not a toy Amir nor is she an ordinary woman"

"Women are women nonetheless "answered Amir with indifference. "Once you get to know them, you'll find out that they all the same"

Colin was not going to reject his friend's request, he knew how important this project was for him, but he feared for Sarah. Amir, been the cold man that he was, had the ability, to use her and put her to the side like a useless rag. He had seen it before. "I have one request, don't hurt her"

"I have never seen you care for anybody that much Colin, not even for your wife. What so special about this particular woman" said Guillermo.

"If I wasn't married, she would have been my wife without a heartbeat"

Amir and Guillermo were both taken aback as they heard the passion that coated Colin's voice, curiosity spiked Amir. He had yet to understand his friend's statement at the same time he felt a little jealous. Why he didn't know. He looked at Colin and saw the worried look and more. "You are in love with her," said Guillermo

Colin didn't answer but his body became rigid and his expression change, he was holding his hand in fist like. He was ready to do damages. It confused Amir, but to appease his friend mind he took a deep breath and answered "I'll promise to keep her safe, I will protect her with my life if the need arises"

Looking to his friend, Colin had no doubts that he would, but it was for her mental safety he was more worried about. He hopes that for once GOD would hear his prayer and protect the woman that has changed him without knowing so and maybe that woman would touch his friend's heart. Suddenly, a glitter of hope came through, 'yeah, maybe it won't be Amir destroying Sarah, but the total opposite'. Lord knows how much his friend needed someone who would knock him his notches a bit.

At the back of his mind, a question rose, what if Sarah fall in love with Amir, he would lose his chance to woe her and make her his. Could he risk it? He was not one to refuse his friend's request. They have been to hell and back and had always come back on top. Could he let a woman come between them when the three of them had solely promised to never let a woman came in between them?

He looks to Amir and saw the look of determination on his face. It came all suddenly, but he rather she'll be with Amir then alone with an unknown person in Syria. Hours ago, he had received an offer for her to go cover the bombing of the Doctors without borders hospital, quite a coincidence that Amir would propose the same thing. Either way, she would still be able to cover the bombing of the hospital and it would appease his mind to know that she is in the safe hand of his best friend. He'll just hope that Amir would play nice and not let his dominant side take the lead.
