As Sarah was lost in her resonating with Amir's answer, she fell to notice the twinkle in his eyes and the laugh that was fighting to find a way out. Amir would have given almost anything at that moment to view that look over and over on Sarah's face. "Sarah, are you there" Sarah looks up to Amir and seen his face impression, punched him in the shoulder. "Come on Amir, that was not smart of you" "You should have seen your face" Unable to answer, Sarah crossed her arms and pretended to pout. Amir no longer could contain himself, burst out laughing. Hearing his laugh, Sarah turns toward him and observe him. His laugh was contagious for she too found herself laughing. Unknowingly to them both, their laughs had reached the pilots and the men host of the plane, they were wondering who was the lady that had capture Amir attention, for it was the very first in a very long time, they had seen Amir looking this relax and laughing his heart content. As their laughter died down, Sarah turns to Amir "so you are a businessman" "Why do I hear a bit of disappointment?" "Disappointment, no, of course not" "Who are you trying to convince, me or you?" "So, what kind of business do you own Mr. Saab?" Instead of answering her question he decided to jest with her and try his best way to imitate a woman voice "oh my gosh, I can't believe he is not a prince, you must be so so disappointed my dear Sarah" Sarah looked to Amir and another bust of laugh exploded within her, causing Amir to follow suit "I can't believe you just did that" says Sarah "I think you have ruined me, Sarah, I can't believe I just did that myself" and he was speaking with pure honesty. "You should laugh more often Amir, and to answer your question, yes I am a little bit disappointed that you are not a prince" "Why" "You know when you hear someone comes from the Arabian world; you can't help but wonder if behind the identity given lies a prince of a region. Sorry, I am an avid reader and my imagination tends to get the best of me" Amir didn't say a word for a while, as he analyzes Sarah's answer, which had gone shy and quiet. He wonders what else does she tends to imagine A vision of her and him in a compromise situation came into mind. But as soon as it did, he quickly chased it away. He sure hopes that her imagination will never go in that direction. For if it does and she decides to act upon it, he will be a dead man walking. Of course, he hardly thinks that Sarah was that type of woman. She was a respectful kind. But one can only hope. "It's ok you know. I could blame myself for portraying so don't you think" "Totally" Her quick agreement had him smiling. Was it what it was like to be able to let go, for the first time in a very long time, he was simply just enjoying a conversation, with a woman who didn't show the least bit of interest in seducing him; Though she did ask about his fortune, it was out of curiosity and innocence he couldn't dare deny. "To answer your question, back in my country, I own an oil field that my father left me as a heritage" "That's interesting, but are you not affected by the ISIS group? I've heard that they almost have control over the oil fields and are using it for their benefits" "Yes, that is true, but my father used to own a smaller field that is located within the center of the country. Not much fighting is ongoing in that area, but still, it is quite impossible to avoid the fight. Clash of battles would erupt once in a while." "So, you only own the field that your father left you?" "No, as I took over my father company, we expanded our self. I have another field near the Euphrates River. I have stocks in different oil companies within the Arab world and a company of import and export" "Wow but wait you said earlier clash of battles would erupt once in a while, how do you fight those that try to invade your territory" Amir was a little hesitant to answer her question, but it was of no use to not to; since she will find out. "I have a small army at my disposal" "You have a small army at your disposal?" "Yes" "How is that possible?" "You see when the war erupted, I had decided to create my elite team of soldiers, and you can also call them bodyguards. The world that I am evolving in can become dangerous. You find yourself dealing with all sorts of people. You can't trust everyone that greets you with a nice smile. You have to be prudent, just like it is written, wise as serpents, and harmless as doves" "Matthew 10:16" "Correct" "Sorry to say, you are not harmless as a dove at all" "Am I that bad?" "Totally" "You haven't even seen me at my worse" "If your worse is worse than what I see, then I don't need to see" "You might even like it," said Amir with a suggestive eyebrow "No, thank you" A comfortable quietness descended around them. Both lost in their thoughts. From the corner of his eyes, Amir saw her yawning. He wondered if she was tired. "How long till we have to land" "I'll say we have another 10 hours to go" "Are we going straight to Damascus?" "No, we are going to Aleppo, it is where I reside" "Aleppo, the second-largest city with a historic background" "You seem to know quite a few things about my country" "I made some research" "Quite smart of you" "I am a writer after all Amir’s" He saw her yawning and without thinking, he undid his seatbelt and hers, took her hand and led her in the back of the airplane where the bedroom was. Once inside the room, Amir had her sitting on the bed, took off her shoes and had her lay down" Though her mind fell wide awake, her body demanded that she rested. It had been a rush three days and she had to admit, had little rest. Surprise my Amir gesture she couldn't say anything. As she lays down on the bed, Amir had put the cover and left the room as quiet as a mouse. She watched him leave. Her heart skips a beat as she realizes that if she didn't put her barriers up, she may and will fall in love with Amir. She certainly did not want that to happen. But as she thinks back to their conversation, she couldn't help but feel the loneliness that his aura reflected. She didn't know how but she did. He was hurt and lonely. Her heart went out to him. But she had to safeguard hers no matter what. She just wished that she will be able too. Amir went back to his spot, already missing her absence next to him. Opening his laptop, taking a deep breath, he plunges back into the new security data he was working on with both Guillermo and Colin. One thing he didn't tell Sarah was that he was also the world-renowned technology specialist that had created the highest tech computer technology. His company both also own by Guillermo and Colin had to change the technology world and set it on fire. Though no one knew who they truly were for it was always easier to work in the dark.
