Evren's POV Three months had passed. Ninety-one days. People often said time healed everything. Whoever came up with that saying had clearly never loved someone they could no longer reach. Time hadn't healed anything. It had simply taught me how to carry the weight without collapsing in front of other people. Every morning I woke up. Every morning I went to work. Every morning I smiled when necessary. And every night... I returned to a home that never once felt like mine. The alarm buzzed softly on the bedside table. I'd already been awake for nearly an hour. Sleep had become something that visited me in fragments. Some nights I managed three hours. Other nights I never slept at all. Whenever exhaustion finally dragged me under, she was there. Sometimes she was laughing.
