17 | CONQUERING THE QUEEN-SIZED BED

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN "This is where you guys will be sleeping." The door creaked loudly as Roger opened it and switched on the light bulb that hung on the ceiling to reveal a small room crowded with a lovely modern wooden queen-sized bed that filled half of the room, walls that had few tiny holes in them, a wooden desk that had candlesticks placed on it and a broken wardrobe that had no door to it. The room was so small that there was barely enough space to walk. Nevertheless, it was better than sleeping with ants and mosquitoes. "Thanks, Roger." I stepped into the room and banged the door in Jack's face before he could enter. "Sorry, Jack. This room's taken!" I shouted over the door.  Dumping my backpack on the bed and removing my nightie from it, I glanced around the room and sighed. T
